Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern - Twinsburg
Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern offers a unique experience unlike any other. A majestic log cabin, reminiscent of those gracing the national parks out West, sits atop a sandstone buff in the most unlikely of places: Twinsburg, Ohio. Its presence welcomes wary guests to enjoy a retreat from everyday life, while enjoying the culinary creations of award-winning Executive Chef Brandt Evans. Guests are invited in to enjoy creative American cooking in one of six-nature inspired dining rooms each offering a unique dining destination, from the splendor of the Great Room to the intimacy of the Porch. In Spring 2006, guests will also be able to enjoy the natural surroundings while mingling with friends & family on the outdoor patio, complete with a water feature, fire pit, full bar & brick oven.

"If there was a perfect restaurant this would be the one. The interior decor was beautifully done in a southwestern motif. The food was exellent, service was prompt and courteous without being overbearing, the table was large and the seating was comfortable. What more could you ask for? Prices were appropriate, and they had a section on the menu for smaller appetites, priced accordingly. We will be frequenting this restaurant again, and again."

"We attended the Father's Day Brunch and were AMAZED at the quality and quantity of the food. Usually at a buffet the quality of the food suffers, but it was easy to tell the food on the buffet was fresh (the pancakes and omlettes were even made-to-order so they were not sitting out getting rubbery). We will definitely be back and will highly recommend these brunch-type buffets to friends."

"This was our first time eating at Blue Canyon. The food was okay in taste. There was a varity of food but nothing really stood out as being outstanding. Some items needed to be switched out due to the dryness of sitting out. The desserts were tasteless. They lacked sweetness and taste, but looked very good as a display."

"Went for Sunday brunch...not a huge selection of food or desserts, but what they have was great! A perk - made to order pancakes, omelettes and eggs benedict are brought to your table - no standing around waiting while your other food gets cold. Haven't been to the patio but it looks like it would be a great outdoor dining spot!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the BC chopped salad and the pretzel crusted trout w/spinach & red skin potatoes. The Bibb lettuce wedge is not on the patio menu and we appreciated the staff making an exception for us. If you're interested in a burger order it elsewhere, $14.99 is steep for an average at best burger with average fries. Good food, good service, great evening!"

"As always, we had a good meal that included appetizers, drinks and entrees. My wife's salmon was cold but, they quickly took care of this issue. The rest of our meals were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is with the service and value for money spent. We had to wait for bread plates, steak knives, drink refills, etc. What should have been a one hour meal took well over two and a half hours. Our waiter, Scott, was friendly and handled all of our requests when we could find him. I am not sure but, I think he had too many tables to cover. For what I paid, $240 for four people, including tip, I could have gone to Lola's, Fleming's and many higher end restaurants and paid the same amount and got much better service."

"We have been to Blue Canyon one other time and had an average experience. We decided to try it one more time as we were taking friends out to dinner for a special occasion. The food and service were both fair. The cocktails were very weak and the appetizer was not what we expected. We then ordered our dinners and the waiter asked us what salad we wanted. We each told him - NOT REALIZING THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE MEAL. I felt we were "tricked" into getting salads. The server also assumed we wanted full size portions.Our final bill for 4 adults was $220 plus $40 tip we left! I was disappointed and do not feel we got the quality of food/service for the amount of money we paid. We will not dine here again."

"I loved the salmon I had for dinner, I did miss not having the Alaskan wild salmon but did inquire and can call ahead @38 hrs. and they would have it as a special on the menue. My husband loved his steak it was real quality and done to perfection. We come for special days like my birthday and sometimes for our anniversary. Great place and we reccomend it hightly."

"We ordered a half order of the blue cheese chips but were served a full order which we did not want. Mel, the waiter said he would take care of it. We were charged for a full order and I pointed this out to the waiter. He said to destroy the first print out and he would take care of it. The second printout was the same but I didn't realize it until I got home that he had not taken care of it! I didn't appreciate his carelessness and was mad at myself for trusting him to do what he said."

"I was a fan of this restaurant for a number of years. But the service was so bad this last time I do not think we will ever go back. The crispy chicken, kale, and mash potatoes were so salty as to make them inedible. The waitress did not come back to the table after the meal was served. The lobster pasta dish, in contrast was bland and void of any flavor. I hope the owners will look closely at how this location is being managed. Before now, Blue Canyon was a family favorite."

"We do not celebrate Mothers Day at restaurant. We intended this to be our celebration, but they allowed us to make this late reservation knowing that they had a hard stop on the brunch buffet at 2 PM. We had very little time to eat, raw bar which was primary reason we choose this brunch had four oysters left of very quesionable quality. Smoked salmon was not good flavor and there were none of the sides offered
One small piece of roast beef was left.
Overall very disappointing day. Waitress did her best to mitigate the experience but it was out of her control.
Will not return or take visitors when have a choice for company dinner"

"We recently had a Girl's Night Out and it was fabulous! The food is always awesome and the dessert was so tasty! The wine list offers so many different choices, too. We have done group & special occasion things here, too, and have never been disappointed! :)"

"Ate at Blue Canyon for the first time on Monday May 13. The food was very good - tender, flavorful steaks, the margherita pizza appetizer was a great start to the meal. There were many unique items/preparations to choose from. I like that you can get full or half orders of the pasta items. We got a half order of the Lobster Mac and Cheese for all of us to share as a side. Big chunks of lobster. So what was wrong? We were seated in the bar area even though we had made reservations the week before through Open Table and the dining area was not full. My guests who go there quite often were actually shocked that was where we were seated. Since I had reservations I am very puzzled why we were put there."

"There is always a friendly welcome at the door and a bit of conversation by the person seating me on the somewhat long way to the table that makes the walk flash by. The waitress (whoever it happens to be) is always very personable and extends herself to meet my requests. There is gentle encouragement to try foods or recipes that are new to me and suggestions to meet my preferences. The tenderloin is prepared to my stated perfection. I have dined in all the various sections of the restaurant and find these service and dining experiences to be consistent throughout. The manager graciously accommodated a request I made at a drop-in visit before the dinner hour."
