"Went with my wife and 12 year old twins. We were the first group in the restaurant but it quickly filled up. The food was excellent and the service attentive but not over the top. We had a very nice meal and we thought that it was good value for Aspen"

"The only issue with this wonderful restaurant - with a really great chef - is the lighting. It is TOO DARK! And, it becomes progressively darker as the everning goes along. I am sure it is intentional. We had to use the "light" on our iphone to read the menu. The couple behind us noticed and did the same thing. That could easily be corrected. It's also nice to SEE your food. Otherwise, a pleasure to be there. And, it SO MUCH better than its sibling Brexi."

"Our evening at the Wild Fig would have been very nice if not for the food. My "special" risotto was topped with a flavorless, poorly cooked piece of mahi mahi that tasted like it was pulled from the bottom of the freezer. The risotto contained flavorless, canned artichoke hearts. My husband's pork chop was very tough and dry. Our appetizer, the "flavors of the sun," was an unremarkable mezze platter (hummus, tzatziki, tapenade, etc) that was not worth anywhere close to its $24 price tag. Our server was very helpful and attentive, though."

"Excellent food. We had the tagliatelle, the risotto, lamb shank and the whole fish. Started with the big charcuterie board. All of the food was very well prepared and presented. My one issue is that, for a resort location, this was not particularly kid friendly. Not only were there no kid options on the menu but the atmosphere/attitude seemed to be one of just tolerating rather than welcome children. This is unusual for the Aspen/Snowmass area, which sees a lot of families on vacation."

"Our only negative: went at 6:15. Was not busy. There were 2 of us & they stuck us in a tiny table by a door. Would not stay next time in such a cramped table when they were not at all full at that hour.
Food was delicious & the manager steered us to a good bottle of wine that was not expensive."

"Our experience was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was excellent. I had the special branzino. with lobster risotto and red pepper sauce. Fabulous and perfect portion size. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service was excellent and everyone was so friendly. Very typical of our experience in aspen with one glaring exception which unfortunately was with their sister restaurant 316. They didn't have our reservation in their computer which I made over a month ago even though they did have my information in their system from my visit to aspen 5 yrs ago. Mistakes happen but the maitre de or manager was totally rude loud and unbelievably uncooperative. She definitely needs a course in customer service."

"My partner and I went to dinner and to say that we throughly enjoyed the meal and the server taking care of us was a understatement. Service was impeccable. I had the peppercorn filet and it was done perfectly. My partner had the tagaliatella pasta dish was amazing he said. All in all superb evening was had by both of us. Great evening."

"VERY CROWDED! Tables SO close together. The food is well made but there is very little immagination in the menu. Think: lamb shanks, salmon in paper, etc. It tends to be overpriced for what one gets and the wine list is WAY overpriced. (400% markup)

"I thought the Wild Fig was just OK. I think there are better places to go in Aspen. The charcuterie was good, but my main dish was just OK. I had the nightly Rissoto, which I was excited about going in, but then was pretty disappointed when we actually got our meals. I went there for my Birthday dinner, and was as I said disappointed."

"The menus between restaurants in Aspen appear to be very similar in product. Designed to take advantage of good outdoor weather in the summer, we enjoyed our winter meal at the Wild Fig. I would recommend their Fig Salad as a staple item for a starter. My guest really enjoyed the duck confit appetizer.
Previously, we ranked Chef Ripert’s truffle fries as the best in the world. He has two restaurants, one in New York, the other in Cayman Islands. We experienced his truffle fries in Cayman Island, and were surprised to find the Wild Figs’ truffle fries to be better than Chef Ripert’s truffle fries.

"Fantastic night. Great little restaurant reminds me of that being in NYC or Paris as its small and intimate. We had a amazing server Tori she recommended a few terrific wines. I had the steak tartare which is one of the best I have every had and the Seafood Stew which is amazing value packed with seafood superb.
