"I dined alone at this restaurant as I was on a business trip. It wasn't busy at all and I was seated at a corner table. As the restaurant started to fill up, I was still the only person sitting in this area which felt very awkward. Service wasn't anything to complain about but definitely not attentive (food was left sitting on my table for a while after I was done with it).
Food was just okay. The chopped salad was very bland and I would definitely not recommend it. Main dishes don't come with any sides which have to be ordered separately. For the price you're paying for the main dish, sides should be included IMO. The size of the side dishes is massive - I ordered half sizes and ended up eating only half of those.
I would not return."

"The restaurant has a very nice decor. A mix of modern and classic furnishings that do an excellent job of keeping background noise to a reasonable level. You can easily have a private conversation without yelling at one another.
The appetizers and sides were excellent. The menu has many options for both fish and meat desires.
We both had fish, smoked cod and stuffed trout. The trout was good, the cod absorbed too much smoke flavour that caused the fish to have no taste except for the smoke flavour.

"Had a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at the Shore Club. The food and service did not disappoint. Our server, Justin, provided perfect menu recommendations and we will certainly be back to sample more of the menu. My wife's herb-crusted sea bass was expertly prepared and delicious to the very last bite. My shrimp and lobster stuffed trout was nearly as good. The guilty pleasure of the evening had to be the jumbo onion rings. Highly recommend you shortlist the Shore Club for the next evening you're craving some seafood and a fine dining experience!"

"This is my 3rd visit to the Shore Club....each time the food, service, wine has been fantastic. I've been there for lunch but next time I'll go for dinner because I'm sure it's just as delicious.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming."

"Great service experience with coordinated wait staff serving and clearing tables. Quiet service - not the usual clatter of dishes and cutlery as tables are cleared and set. Fresh brewed leaf tea served in pot with trivet. Nice touch. A la carte manu so it can be expensive. Expensive wine list. Nice surroundings. Reasonable portions. Crisp vegetables. Close to theatres, Roy Thomson Hall and convention centre, parking across the street, transit near by."

"Really like the atmosphere & very well located for when we are downtown. This was our 3rd visit. I find the food too oily. All the choices for appetizers & mains sound wonderful, but then they are too saturated.
My husband loved the fish tartar! We will keep trying as it is a very comfy place with excellent service."

"Decor was lovely, warmly greeted, and fabulous menu. I was going to go for the Winterlicious menu, but changed my mind when the regular menu arrived.
I had the beef steak tomato appetizer and asked them to substitute the Stilton for goat cheese. Regretfully I ended up with both cheeses, drenched in buttermilk dressing - not good. I wasn't asked how it was or why I didn't eat very much. My friend had the spicy popcorn shrimp, which was flavourful and well prepared.
Entrees were nice and potions were generous. My friend had the braised ribs, which was terrific and I enjoyed a filet mignon. Side dishes, scolloped potatoes and vinegar fries were just ok.
Dining experience didn't match the price tag."

"It is Winterlicious time again, so we take the opportunity to try out this venue. Among the starters we have ordered, I like the Smoked Cod Two Ways, with rillettes, fritters and apple chutney. The mains came in generous portion with ample choice of sides... especially the tender N.Y. striploin. The grilled halibut was also done right. However, my Mediterranean polenta cake was a little bland for my taste. The desserts were very good... especially the torrine of sorbet, in a creative presentation. My key lime pie was rich and smooth, the right balance of different flavours from the cream to the crust. The toffee pudding with vanilla ice-cream was a little too sticky and sweet for my old man, but a shot of great espresso would even it out."

"My first impression was that the hostess station is not working why does it take three people to seat a guest? The winterlicous offering was poorly executed I left hungry and we were both disappointed by the food. The soup and sorbet were the eat part of my meal my guest found her meal flavorless and cold.
We had high hopes but were disappointed. I'm afraid the shore club is just a bar to us."

"We had probably one of the best server that we ever experienced before. His name is Mark I believe(?). Did everything right, asked at the right time, cannot think of anywhere to improve.
Food was delicious, and we love the choices as well. I got the table with my husband that was like a little couch but surrounded by wall, hard to explain but it gave us a lot of privacy. If this was for our time before we got married I think this would be extremely romantic! :)
This restaurant is highly recommended by us."
