"I went with a couple of friends for lively weeknight get-together and we had a wonderful time. We ordered, the kale salad, calamari fries, shrimp and grits, asparagus salad, short ribs, mac and cheese, and maybe a few other thing that I can’t remember. I would return for the kale salad alone (I hope they keep it on the menu) but everything was tasty and well presented. Our waiter, Lou, was fun and informative about both the menu and the “Lincolnalia”; he came back to check with us often enough to make sure we had what we needed to keep the party going. The room was a bit loud but we all agreed that we should visit again soon."

"This was my first visit to Lincoln and I would describe this restaurant as a neighborhood gem. Our waitress was charming and attentive, as were the other members of the staff who came to visit our table. The food was well presented and arrived in just the right portions in addition to the already available tapas plates. I treated myself to a very tasty Malbec in what I'd describe as a nicely selective wine menu, sure to please both one's palate and entrée pairing."

"Known for its all Lincoln décor, including a floor covered in pennies (ask them how many!), Lincoln also serves up great food. It is one of my favorite lunch places, and is near my office. The food is all locally sourced and put together in some great combinations, and the daily lemonade concoctions are not to be missed."

"enjoyed the tapas style, however, the plates are a little harder to share with folks (not like spanish tapas). It was extremely noisy in the main dining room. The cocktail list is interesting and loved the Moscow Mule. Next time, I migth just try to enjoy a seat at the bar during the happy hour specials (save a few $$) and enjoy all the same."

"Several reasons why: great atmosphere - warning-the later you go the louder it will be; a great variety of small plates to sample and share; the excellent server Yassine and his colleagues, especially Eric; the hangar steak, sweet potato risotto, the short ribs, the lemony dessert, the wine list, the roasted eggplant and did I mention the short ribs? Down side ? The Mac and cheese was a bit soupy and the asparagus salad was confusing and the way it was plated made it difficult to eat. The staff is super friendly and helpful so let them guide you through the experience."

"Today I dined at an eatery where the food cost as much as Lincoln, but the quality was awful. I thought that if Lincloin was your competition -- your customers would have a better option for their dining dollars. In short, the other restaurant would be put out of business! Moreover, their customers might ask themselves: why did we tolerate such poor quality food for so long? I spent many years in F&B as a manager, owner and consultant. The quality of your food is outstanding."

"I live in the neighborhood so I frequent lincoln and always have a great time. It's always nice being a regular somewhere, but at a place like lincoln that gets especially crowded when the patio furtniture is out i really appreciate that the staff recognizes and appreciates my business-great service really starts at the door.
as far as food goes- i highly recommend the scallops and kale salad for something lighter. on the heavier side, the chicken pot pie and mac and cheese are amazing."

"This place was very loud and "energetic" doesn't quite do it justice (we were there 8:30pm on a Friday. Don't expect to have a quiet meal here - but since we weren't there for that, it was easy to get caught up in the energy of the place. Great service was attentive without being over the top. The small plate style of this place meant that my wife and I could sample a lot of different foods without feeling stuffed. The fact that the food comes out "when its ready" means it's hot and allows you the opportunity to have what is effectively multiple courses. The food was universally very good and we enjoyed all of it. The wine list is over-priced but offered a good selection."

"everything sounded delicious but a lot of the food barely hit the mark. their "Crab" hush puppies had no crab, AT ALL. their sandwich bread was way too thick for the amount of filling they put in there. their chips and slaw were really good though. while it was decent, i don't think i'd come back for lunch."

"Before tonight, Lincoln was one of our favorite places. Tonight nearly ruined it all. The night started well -- good service and amazing food. However, that all changed when a "VIP" table was seated nearby. We didn't recognize anyone, but both the chef and manager made more than one appearance. The server had to pass our table to get to their table, but we were invisible. Despite repeated attempts to get his attention, we sat for a solid hour with no food, no wine, and no water. All we needed was our check, but we couldn't get it. Because we love the food, we'll likely give them one chance for redemption."

"Lincoln was awesome- i love the seasonal small plates. Our server's name was Jimmie and he was very helpful. We told him what we were looking for and let him pick out most of our plates and he did a wonderful job! I would definitely recommend the mac and cheese, the kale salad was light and fresh. It was a bit loud but it was a vibrant place and the bar was full the entire evening. It was a little windy by the end of the night so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor seating but maybe another time for happy hour. Will be coming back here for sure!"

"The food was fine. Fries should be a standard option though with sandwiches rather than an extra charge. The only issue was the service. It seemed as if our waiter was a trainee. Our orders were wrong and it took quite a while for the issues to be fixed."

"My group had a great time at Lincoln during the Presidential Inauguration weekend. The food was spectacular...we enjoyed the unlimited brunch with bottomless mimosas. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. Will definitely be dining here again. The best part was the DJ. The music added a nice flavor to the brunch experience."

"The food at Lincoln was good, but our server kept forgetting to bring us things we ordered. We had to ask 2-3 times for drinks, side dishes. etc. Plus food was not cooked properly, though we discussed it thoroughly, and had to be sent back. Also, we sat outside for brunch as it is way too loud inside. It sounded like a club in Adams Morgan on a Friday night and I am not into that for Sunday brunch. Too bad as I like Lincoln but they need to button it up."

"It was my mistake for booking a business lunch there. It was so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Although the manager came by the table several times to ask how we were doing the service wasn't really very good. The food was tasty and the server friendly. I would recommend it if you were there for a lunch with a friend but if you needed to discuss business ask for a table near the windows up front so that the noise would not be as bad as the middle of the room."

"I ate here for Easter brunch and split the tab with one of my friends. Three days later, I discovered that I had been charged me for the entire bill. I called, spoke to a manager and was directed to send an email explaining what happened with a copy of the reciept attached. I was told that it would take a day to fix. The next day, nothing was fixed. I called again, spoke to another manager who told me that she could look up the transaction and ensure that it would be fixed that night. The next day, the same thing happened, which was nothing. I emailed the first manager and he told me that he would fix it. Which he did, two days later. I was given an email apology but no other offer to "make it right". Very, very poorly handled."

"The food was pretty good. The service left quite a bit to desire. For the price they should be more on their game. With tip, for two of us, the total was about $270. They only serve one knid of oyster, Chesapeake, and they dont bring a mignonette with the service. Poor form.

"i was a bit disappointed - the deviled eggs were good, but nothing special. the grilled cheese sandwich was too big, too fat, and had too many fried green tomatoes and not enough herbs.
I would rate the food as fair to good, except the prices were far too expensive for what we got. Definitely not a meal that warranted the prices."

"Delicious Mac n cheese, scallops, and fudge cake. Menu recently changed and was not updated on web site. Server was somewhat confused and told us that restaurant no longer served bread but in fact they do. Manager was very responsive to our complaint about extremely salty duck sausage and comped it. Nice outdoor seating."

"The food, service and atmosphere are amazing. However, don't go expecting a quiet romantic night. This noise level matches the energetic decor and waitstaff. I am sure this is how President Lincoln would have wanted a restaurant that with his namesake. All around us there were people, laughing, talking and having a great time."
