"I've eaten at Local twice before and thought the food was better than it was this time. The server was nice though he did just stick the dinner menus in the middle of the table while we were eating and chatting. Which several of my family members noticed and mentioned later."

"We are kind of Local junkies in my family. My son loves to go to Localville and we love the food and ambiance. We went to Mother's Day brunch at Local last year and it was a great time so we decided to try it again this year and we were not disappointed. All of the food was great and beautifully presented. We had 8 people and they were good about bringing enough for everyone. There were several of bacon fans at our table and they were all satisfied with the amount that we received. They even gave us some little flowers in a plantable pot which was really nice. It was a great brunch and will be a beautiful memory. Thanks Local!!"

"Although we've been saying we are going to go to Local for months, we finally did for brunch this past Sunday. Local is a hidden gem that you might not even know was there - in the corner spot of a run of the mill strip mall - unless you were looking for it. Once inside you might think you were downtown. Very cool and spacious layout. The food was great and the service was good. The best part was the extensive drink menu with lots of their own creations."

"Only great things to say about LOCAL. Just the best people own it, run it, cook it, serve it.
Took my mom for Mothers Day Brunch and again, we were DELIGHTED with every single delicious thing! The scones, lemon ginger muffins, sausage, the polenta, 3 sauces for the eggs - Pesto, cream cheese w/peppers, pico de gallo! But the Mimosa pancakes were divine! What a delicate pancake with fresh orangejuice in the batter and then champagne whipped fresh cream on top. And she brought an exact replica for my 7 year old daughter but without the champagne whipped in without me even asking.
It's THAT kind of wonderful! Your every hope and wish for food fabulous!

"We went with friends and the atmosphere upscale and trendy. The salmon was outstanding! The meatloaf and chicken enchiladas looked good too. One of the specials that night was the buffalo steak and it looked incredible. The food arrived within 15 minutes and the server was courteous and attentive. Our drink glasses did not get empty and he checked on us a couple of times throughout the meal. I will go back!"

"Local is where I go if I want to treat myself. My friends and I went there for my birthday most recently. I got the fish of the day, which was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The cheese plate is always a treat, and the drink selection is awesome. They even have absinthe served with a fountain of ice water. I like how much of the menu changes on a daily basis, and of course the farm-to-table aspect is appealing. If you're looking for a nice, unique, artsy restaurant to splurge on in the Norman area, look no farther."

"Not overly impressed for the money. Great concept and marketing doesn't jive with the actual experience. Loved spinach ravioli (but $16 for six ravioli???) and salads we fabulous. The negatives: salsa was 99% blended tomatoes...bland and pointless. Fish tacos much the same...zero flavor and highly forgettable. Honest and objectively speaking its "all hat no cattle" sort of eating experience."

"I really loved my food, the first time I went to Local. I booked a business meeting the third time and was not very happy with the food. There was no feta cheese in my pita anymore, they ran out of the house soup at noon on a Tuesday. What does that mean knowing that they are closed for Monday. Does that mean they ran out of the leftover house soup from Sunday? I really would like to encourage a place that tries to use local and organic produce and hope that this is not normal."

"Our server did not know what vegetables were available when I substituted potatoes. She did not know if the Salmon was wild or farm raised nor did she know if they had organic wine. I would make sure servers know the answers.
I find a "local" and "fresh" positive note with grass fed meats but not sure I understand farm raised fish, confusing. Food was good, rice slightly high, atmosphere is not very cousy, more of a lunch spot."

"My family ended up in Norman for Easter Weekend quite unexpectantly and started trying to find a good place for brunch after attending Mass.
What a wonderful surprise when we were able to get reservations for four at Local at the exact time requested.
It was nothing short of FANTASTIC in every way, service, quality of food, ambience.
Local is now definitely a "have to" place to fine when in Norman, OK

"Hidden gem! They were celebrating their 1st Anniversary and fhis was our first visit. I like the emphasis on local fare starting with Oklahoma beers and everything else was an import! We had the smoked salmon dip and homemade potato chips to start. Both were excellent. We shared the Farmers Market salad and the fish of the day, Monkfish, and that was delicious. We ended with the Butternut Squash Cheese Cake and a pot of French pressed coffee. We will be back to sample more!! The taste of the food is what earns this restaurant the Very Good rating!!"

"Fabulous, as always! I was finally able to bring in an old friend who was in town and had been dying to try it out after reading all my tortuously awesome FB reviews about every meal i have there, and he loooooooooved it!! He is the definitive 'foodie' and travels all over the world for his job, sampling some of the grooviest fare around, so when his eyes rolled back in his head at the first bite, i knew i'd just garnered some serious good karma. The gorgeous art and being waited on by the fun, attentive, uber-joyful Rachel just made it all the more lovely =)"

"I really want to love Local and I know people do. I love the concept and the building is very pretty and comfortable. But for the second time, the service was awful. Now, I was a waitress and bartender for six years, so I may be picky but it's enough to make me not come again. Our waitress Friday might was rude, commented that she hated serving the table we were seated at, told me that she couldn't describe the wine I asked about beyond "mineraly" and i would jst have to try it. She not know the type of chorizo in the daily special and disappeared for a good five minutes to find out after we had waited nearly 20 minutes for her to take our order. When I asked midway thru the meal for more water for the table when she had a chance, she sighe"

"The beef dish was so leathery it was almost impossible to cut or chew. Chicken dish was okay, not great. Trout was good. The only vegetarian dish was pasta with beets and the two of us that preferred vegetarian don't like beets."

"I had a great dining experience visiting Local. I ordered the ribeye special, which was amazing, and my date ordered the salmon with risotto, which was also very tasty. I was impressed by the good selection of local beers and the interesting wine list. The ambiance was lively, but a bit noisy for a romantic evening. The service was excellent! I'm looking forward to going back soon."

"We had a family brunch and we liked very much the setting where we ate all we wanted and the food was well prepared. The selection was different from the usual but not too far off as to feel foreign. It was very tasty and well prepared and especially satisfying. The atmosphere is very modern, even avant garde."

"Great selection of food, including options for vegetarians and vegans. There's a lot of inside space, so my group of three had a lot of space. The only negative I would give this restaurant would be the bar. The drinks were bland and at one point our waitress admitted that the bartender had never before made a simple Irish Coffee. Apart from that, I recommend you give this place a try!"
