"Without question this is one of the best meals I have experienced. The foi gras appetizer was exquisite. Melt in your mouth. Filet Mignon was Lean and perfectly cooked with a mushroom duxelles and Cabernet Demi. Fiddleheads as garnish. Also had a black cod which was the chef's selection. Dessert was a trio of summer treats. A "creamsicle" , mini banana ice cream sandwich garnished with a white chocolate ribbon and a S'more. Excellent presentation and subtle tastes. Wine was superb. Our server was a true professional; knowledgeable and unobtrusive. Atmosphere in back was romantic.Front more lively.Chose this restaurant based on fellow Open Table reviewers. Thank you. Add me to the list of those who recommend Verses without hesitation."

"I loved Verses!!!! I went for my 50th birthday dinner and I couldn't have been more pleased. Outstanding menu, awesome service and great ambiance. They have valet parking which is really awesome because it's next to impossible to find parking near St. Paul's Street. If you want fine food in a lovely atmosphere with super service you can't beat Verses!!"

"I chose Verses for a dinner with my wife to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. Having dined there several times previously with my brother I knew the ambiance was intimate, the menu was delightful and the staff very attentive. I arranged to have flowers delivered to our table and the evening turned out to be the wonderful, romantic experience I had hoped."

"On a moderately busy night, we didn't get any food for almost 90 minutes. Not the fault of the servers, who were running around like mad. Food was adequate but not memorable. Roast piglet was tough in parts and crackling did not "crackle:. After a day of travelling, a 3 hour dinner was not appreciated."

"We attended a Montreal High Lights Festival dinner at Verses, with guest chef Kevin Sbraga from Philadelphia. The five-course meal was excellent, creative without being fussy, with a broad range of flavours and textures: foie gras soup, salad with smoked trout, nicely spiced grilled octopus, venison, and fantastic chocolate tortellini for dessert. Portions were on the small side (especially for my husband's appetite). The wine pairings were well done and great value, with an eclectic selection including wines from South Africa, Australia and Argentina. What really came as a surprise was how empty the restaurant was. The no-shows (due to a snowstorm) really missed out on a great meal and a very pleasant evening!"

"We had the menu prepared by guest chef and Top Chef season 7, Kevin Sbraga during Montreal à Lumière. The courses followed each other in a fluid motion, no unnatural stops or gaps. The waiter and serving staff were attentive and comfortable in their environment. I had ordered flowers through Open Table's collaborator Flower Petals, and the flowers were on the table all ready for us. Additionally, the Top Chef, Kevin Sbraga, came to our table and willingly answered all our questions about his food and conceptualizing his dishes. All in all a very good experience and a perfect evening to celebrate our 4 year anniversary."
