"Food was outstanding and it changes based on what's fresh and good at the market. Service was impeccable. The scallops and chocolate souffle are to die for! Hubby loved the kobe steak. It was really quiet around 6PM, but by 7PM it was very lively. Almost every table was taken. The Maitre d' was warm, somewhat formal and fun at the same time. Chef owner came out to the table to check on us and Gina, co-owner, is the sommelier."

"A lovely all-around experience. Service was as good as the excellent food: friendly and efficient but not obtrusive. The food was perfectly prepared: potato soup was just the right amount, with lovely garnishes; scallops were seasoned and seared beautifully and to perfect "doneness," sauces were outstanding. Even the accompanying brussel sprouts puree (I dislike brussel sprouts) and lentils (I dislike lentils) were terrific. ANd one of the best chocolate soufflees ever, even if it was a little under-cooked. Didn't matter!"

"The service and ambiance of Bijoux were excellent meritting a return visit. Reservations are suggested to ensure a table is available. If dining at Bijoux, the chocolate soufle is a must! The soufle requires 20 minutes to prepare, so remember to order it when placing the dinner order."

"My husband and I eat at "fancy" places when we go to Las Vegas... and this restaurant could totally hold it's own in any upscale casino/resort. For about half the price.
My recommendations:
1. Order several of the smaller plates.... you get enough to share and sample without feeling overly full or still hungry at the end of the night.
2. Try the duck schnitzel if it's on the menu. You will not be disappointed. My husband doesn't even like duck and he was about to wrestle me for the last bite.
3. Order the chocolate souffle when you order dinner. It takes a bit to cook and it's well worth it. (It's so good I wanted to sneak into a corner and finish eating it by myself.)"

"The dishes are gorgeous and executed perfectly. But the staff is in insistent with some great waiters and some clueless ones. Pedestrian wine list and relatively drab decor. My chair was woefully uncomfortable and the maitre d' said they are all like that. If that is the case, how about getting better chairs?"

"Searched for a Romantic dining experience while visiting Dallas and was not disappointed! A beautiful gem that provided an elegant setting, but not stuffy; most delightful staff from the greeting at the door to the visit by the Chef. "This was our first visit to Bijoux and will not be our last. The experience we had celebrating our anniversary could not be surpassed. Some other reviews mentioned ‘small portions’ and ‘unless you were a regular, staff ignored you’; we found none of this true. The food portions were perfect, we enjoyed four courses and left sated. The staff was attentive and unobtrusive, always around when we wanted them, but never hovering. Chef Scott has created one of the most creative and delicious menus we have ever enjoyed. As foodies we always look for special experiences and Bijoux is now at the top of our list. FIVE STARS!!!"

"The menu was limited, which allowed the Chef to concentrate on the food and not how emany dishes appear on the menu. Th food was wonderful the chef is an artist and takes pride to ensure each dish is perfection, the truffle risotto and sweet potato gnocchi . Loved how the portions didn't leave you stuff but completely satisfied. The staff was very attentive and allowed you to enjoy the food without feeling rushed. We kept looking out the window expecting to see the Eiffle Tower,The Chef came around and stopped by each table, you can tell he takes a lot of pride in his restaurant. We are planning on trying the Chefs Tasting Menu next time and are looking forward to it."

"I selected this restaurant "on a gamble" through your service, based on favorable reviews. We had come over from Fort Worth and I knew the general area I wanted to dine in, so we decided to try out Bijoux. Both of us loved our meals........the food was fresh and innovative (my husband had the salmon and I had the brisket, both of which were excellent). The chocolate/hazelnut/salted caramel dessert was delightfully sinful.....rich, but not overly heavy. The menu was varied and had several entrees I wish I could have also ordered. The quietly elegant French decor was the perfect setting for our wonderful meal. We both left saying that we would definitely return again, and bring friends along with us next time."

"We will not be returning to Bijou. The menu was uninspired and uninspiring. The wine list was uninspired and uninspiring. Although there were only five tables occupied, service was less than attentive, and wait staff were not to be found when needed. Finally, the attitude of the Maitre d' was too French - I know the restaurant claims (!) to be French Contemporary, but that is not a reason for the Maitre d' to be French Contemporary too."

For a restaurant of this caliber they need to work on their wine list and have the proper crystal for the wine you are drinking. "We had been here once before and had a wonderful time, so I was really looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately we came on a busy Saturday night and were seated at the table nearest the entrance to the kitchen and my chair was in the path the staff used to go to the kitchen. If I had a dollar for every time someone bumped into my chair, the meal would have been free. Only one person apologized, however he bumped me pretty hard. The restaurant was busy and I did not want to make a big deal out of moving tables for the other three people with me, so I just suffered in silence. It was very irritating and spoiled the evening. Surely the staff knows this is an issue since they must bump into everyone who sits in that chair."

"We were excited to try Bijoux after universally positive feedback from friends and online comments. Maybe it was just an off night. Reservation at 8:15, but didn't finally get seated and noticed by a waiter until almost 9. Manager / Sommelier was very nice and recommended a solid French wine when the one we ordered wasn't available. First courses were good (roasted beet salad in particular), but the Kobe beef brisket was really disappointing. Bone dry with a stale-wine aftertaste. Seemed like the restaurant was understaffed and the waitstaff inexperienced. As many good restaurants as there are in Dallas, I doubt we'll try it again, given our limited opportunities to get out without kids."

"We loved the food, ambience and most of the staff at our dinner. It was our first experience there. However, the Sommelier either did not like us stating we were not going to purchase the most expensive bottle of Pinot Noir or was having a bad evening. She offered nothing above "you'll like this" without probing questions. Even then, her answers were short and not very informative. I got the vibe she felt we were unworthy to be asking! Interesting note: my husband called Bijoux direct to get a reservation and was told nothing was available that evening. He did not know I was online at Open Table - and I was able to book a 7:00 reservation for our dinner. Great! I'll always go to Open Table in the future to book a dinner."

"The food and service were excellent, but the location we were sitting made for a very distracting, unromantic dinner. I was with my wife of 12 years and was truly looking forward to talking to my best friend during a Valentine's dinner, but we were seated near an area they use to clean wine cups and where they pour the wine to be served...it was very distracting due to the number of people going in and out and the cup washing machine was very loud and washed out our conversation. I was bumped 4 times by servers going to and from that serving area, one time they even dropped a spoon on me as they walked by.
Overall, the food and service was great, so I would recommend it, just make sure not to be seated near the wine serving area."

"We had a very nice dinner at Bijoux. We did have to wait 15 minutes despite having a reservation and the waiter was slow to take our order, but after these small foibles the dinner was great. They have wonderful bread and a nice wine list. They offer a good variety of salads, soup and appetizers. For the entrees, you can order it in two sizes- half and full. When we ordered our dinner we also ordered dessert. Dessert was great- we had the apple tartan, chocolate soufflé and profiteroles- all were delicious."

"We were celebrating my wife's birthday and wanted to do something low-key and Bijoux was the perfect spot to go. Fantastic service from the moment we walked in the door, quiet and romantic ambiance along with great food. We enjoyed the petite selections menu which allowed us to sample/share 3 main courses. The chocolate souffle was a great way to cap off the evening."
