Strata Restaurant and Bar
Strata Restaurant and Bar serves Contemporary American Cuisine. Strata is located in front of Vintage Park Shopping Center by Hwy 249 North facing Louetta Road. Strata offers dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients with a wide array of entrees from steaks, seafood, pasta, sandwiches, vegetarian and gluten free options. Signature favorites to enjoy include the Filet Mignon, Kobe Burger, Pork Schnitzel & Chilean Sea Bass. Complete your meal with our famous white chocolate bread pudding or Chocolate Nirvana and after dinner cocktails or a glass of wine.
Strata is open daily for Lunch, Dinner and Saturday and Sunday Brunch. Two private dining rooms are available for business meetings or special events. Enjoy our daily happy hour which include specialty drinks & bar bites for $5 in the bar or patio area. Catering is also available for business luncheons or special events.

"The appetizers and wine were amazing. We had the habanero sausage and empenadas. Unfortunately, the did not have the seafood gumbo that we were interested in trying. The main course was satisfactory. I had the habanero chicken which was good but the potato fries seemed as though they had been sitting for a period of time."

"This was our second time to come to Strata and both were excellent. The service is great and there is absolutely no wrong choice on the menu. We were a group of 5 who hadn't seen each other in a very long time - we very much enjoyed our time together. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. I had to kobe burger which is phenomenal. In fact, each one of us raved about our dishes and not a bite was left by anyone!"

"We dine at Strata quite often, so we've come to expect a level of quality that wasn't quite there this time. The reservation was ready; the table reserved; the server prompt and courteous - all right on target for Strata. When we chose not to look at the wine list, things started to fray a bit. While congenial, the server never mentioned what specials were featured that evening; he simply took the order. He asked my wife about a salad; he didn't ask me at all. The appetizer (beef empanadas) were superb, just like expected. My wife's Sesame Shrimp were quite good, but my Peppercorn Pork was overcooked and too peppery. The Chocolate Nirvana was excellent. So, overall very good, but not up to expectations this time. Still, we'll be back."

"All was very good as usual, except a little problem when we arrived. They tried to seat us in
a small private room full with a big table of about 30 people. That would have been loud and
the service would have been slow, I believe. They acted really put out that they had to find

"Unfortunately for us it happened to be the night before Mother's Day, so there were no entree specials nor were there many desserts. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but we were there for a birthday celebration and I had decided not to provide dessert for our group, as there usually were great desserts to choose from. They couldn't even offer us any sherbet! They had a big MD planned, and all of their waiters were busy getting ready for the next day's buffet. If it hadn't been for that, I would have given 5 stars."

"My family (3) went there for dinner Friday night and absolutely LOVED it! The food was phenomenal and Taylor our waiter had an exceptional knowledge of the menu, he was super friendly and accommodating. We went again for their Mother's Day brunch and it was just as wonderful as our experience on Friday!"

"I had the crab cakes, tuscan salmon, and creme brulee. Crab cakes were tiny and very bland. Salmon was good, needed more sauce. Potatoes were undercooked. Creme brulee was nothing too great. Waiter told us that the pastry chef was lazy to make the creme bruleee du jour so they only have the original creme brulee. Now wby would you say that? That gives the restaurant a bad reputation. And the service was bad. The waiter barely came to our table and took forever to come tto our table. I dont know if id ever come back to this restaurant."

"There were two in our party, but the bill showed an automatic 18% gratuity. That was a surprise and a disappointment. I can understand an automatic 18% gratuity when the party is six or more, but not when there are two people. We will not go back to Strata."

"Can be expensive but has a varied menu. I had a coupon for 2 entrees and an appetizer and desert. The total bill for 2 of us before discount for coupon was 112.00 plus tip and taxes. The 2 entrees were shrimp and filet 8 oz. The food was outstanding. One of best steaks I have had in a long time.
My only complaint was it took over 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated at a table."

"Food was good. Here is the issue, waitress included a gratuity charge without giving us a consumption receipt. Very dishonest as she was about to make a 21.00 tip on 62.00 diner. Very big mistake and I honestly don't know if the owner knew her waitress had done this. We won't be back."

"Good drinks and appetizers. I would go again but maybe not with a large group. It ended up being a 3 hour dinner for a table of 7. I think that's too long. Food was good, but 2 of the orders were messed up and one steak could not be eaten because it was too tuff. So that was taken off our bill."

"The Easter Brunch was excellent!, service was impecable. Tha Salmon was delicious, as were the salads and boiled Shrimp. I would much rather have seen Prime Rib as opposed to the Rack of Lamb.(overheard several comments as well) The Egg Salad Sliders were a hit. Little messy but good! The Pork Egg Rolls (hard to find) were the best I have had in a long time.
THE MIMOSAS WERE FANTASTIC!!!
It is great to go to restaurant where you can talk to your guest without "yelling" across the table.."

"We went for an Easter brunch and were very disappointed that all they offered was a buffet, that does not work for our family. Nowhere did it say they would only offer a buffet so I was all set for what I wanted on their brunch menu. We paid $180 including tip for 3 adults and 2 children, I had gastric bypass several years ago and can only eat very small amounts and my oldest son (16) is very picky so he ate 3 pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon. I am so upset that we spent this much on a meal. The food was not bad some was very good but with any buffet the quality goes down. I am not sure if we would ever go back."

"I heard about the restaurant from a family member and wanted to give it a try for my birthday lunch. I made the reservations online and when we arrived we still had to wait to be seated when there was only one table with people being helped. We where with two children and the children's meals were brought first. Then our soup and salad, by the time our entree's were brought the kids were ready to go and we hadn't even started eating. I like to be in and out. You won't be able to do that at Strada."

"We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reservation, but our table was ready. Our party ended up at the bar which is beautiful. We saw many servers making drinks and carrying them out, but the mixologist for the bar was there intermittently. A lady came in and took care of us quickly when the other servers could not. She may have been a manager, but also overheard us saying the room was very cold. Shortly thereafter, the air conditioner was turned down.
The restaurant is hard to find, tucked away behind stores, but well worth the hunt. Food quality is very good, quick, and good service. Strata had a nice variety of menu items and prices are in line with other quality restaurants. Next time, we will try the outdoor patio."

"We had another great experience here. We often go here when we want great food and time to talk. We had a question about the bill and were very happy with the respectful manner the manager utilized in both listening to us and solving our problem. Once we chose a wine that was suggested and really didn't like it when we had our first sip. The wait staff was cordial and the problem was easily fixed. We also love their homemade sausage. We heartily recommend Strata. Go and have great time. One is the time to try their outdoor patio."

"We went here because we bought a Groupon for Strata. The food was great!!! But we felt that because we had the Groupon (which allowed for an automatic 18% tip) that our waiter wasn't very attentive. Maybe he felt he didn't have to work as hard because tip was guaranteed with us. And that is sad because we were hoping to get excellent service so that we could tip him even more. We are waiters ourselves, and so we know what it is like. We know how hard it is sometimes for a waiter, so we were looking to tip him more. But we felt like he did not try to make an impression on us, so we did not leave him any extra."

"Loved it so much when we went with a Groupon, we went back later for our 19th anniversary dinner! Before we went the first time, I mistakenly believed it was a formal restaurant, but is actually more jeans and diamonds style."

"We sat down and were greeted quickly, someone else brought us some water and then our waitress disappeared and did not take our drink order for 10 min. Mind you this was at 3pm, we were the only couple inside and there was a table of people outside. Once she showed up - it was pretty smooth from there. The food was mediocre. Steak overcooked = husband asked for medium and his was barely pink inside. There signature potatoes are not very tasty and the asparagus was very woody.
The waitress was pleasant but apparently she was overworked that day. Being bartender, waitress and cashier. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time but was not impressed at all. Thank goodness I had a Groupon to pay for part of it!"

"Outstanding sevice. Make sure to ask fo a table that is not against the wall. We were seated at a table literally for 2 up against a wall...my husband was vey cramped and the table was too small for the drinks and food together.
Nice restaurant, decent prices. I did however expect more of the patrons to be dressed a litle more upscale than they were."

"It was okay, nothing too impressive. The main dining area is on the small side, so we had to sit in a private room with other customers. The service was great and food was good. My husband and I eat out a lot and usually like high-end restaurants, but this didn't quite measure up. Not a bad place, just not very impressive. It's probably better for lunch rather than dinner."

"My husband and I went here to celebrate Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was just what we wanted...romantic, dim lighting, superb food and the service was excellent! They even had someone there playing live jazz music! We drove close to an hour to get there and it was worth every minute of it. I highly recommend the lobster bisque if it's available when you go."
