"This is a grand dinning restaurant that always has good food. It is very difficult to find so use your GPS. The service was very slow and not attentive but other than that, we would recommend this restaurant."

"Another special evening at Chez Nous.... Excellent food, attentive but unobtrusive service. Truly a "neighborhood gem", but worth the drive from other areas of Houston. How fortunate we are to have such a lovely restaurant tucked away on a quiet residential street in Humble, just minutes away from Kingwood."

"Food was fantastic! I ordered the escargots as an appetizer and was not disappointed. It was buttery goodness and you just have to dip your bread to fully enjoy. For my entree I had the rack of lamb which was carved tableside. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the sides that came with, potatoes and carrots, were beyond delicious. I splurged and had the chocolate souffle for dessert per the waiter's suggestion. All I can say is that he became my new best friend. They have an extensive wine list that you can buy by the glass or bottle. You don't need a special reason to dine here. Just go and enjoy a wonderful dining experience. I definitely plan on going back. Such a gem of a place!"

"We were celebrating our anniversary and Chez Nous made it very special even though we had not advised them that we were celebrating anything. The food was excellently prepared and presented. Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection and the Grand Marnier souffle was delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a special romantic evening."

"The only thing that would make this French restaurant better is if the staff spoke French.
The service is impeccable--attentive but not intrusive. The food is invariably a delight. Aside from a few noisy customers, the experience is ecstatic."

"My husband &I are always open to trying new restaurants on date night. This was an amazing experience for us! We were absolutely impressed from the moment we walked in until the very end. "The last time we had such an outstanding dinner was at "Le grand Veyfour" in Paris. Chez nous has managed to preserve the kind of cuisine that made France's reputation while giving it just enough of a touch of modernity. The food presentation and service were both excellent. Simply superb and well worth the drive from downtown."

"Magnifique! We just wanted a quiet night out together, and Chez nous delivered! The Halibut was cooked in a paper box and it was heavenly! I ordered my filet mignon rare and it was perfectly cooked while still having a nice sear on the outside. The wine suggestions were perfect and the service was sparkling! They really know what they are doing at Chez Nous! Un merveilleux secret a Humble!"

"The food and service are always good and reliable at this restaurant but we wish the wine list were better. The wine selection is the main reason we don't come to this restaurant more often. And they don't allow custoners to bring their own. A very limited selection of california wines and a larger but not great french selection. We'd like to see some of the typical wines on the list such as Veuve Cliquot, Silver Oak, Rosenblum, Mondavi, Dominus, Michael David, Paraduxx, etc."

"My favorite restaurant! We go there as often as we can, not just for special occasions. If we want steak, we go to Chez nous. If we want seafood, we go to Chez Nous. Anytime we want a nice, quiet evening we go to Chez nous. The food is always amazing, the service is top notch without being overbearing and we feel like part of the family. I have been dining there several times a year since 1988 and I have never had a bad experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone."

"This was our first visit to Chez Nous, for a birthday celebration. We did no alert the staff, or make any other comment, however the attentive staff heard our birthday salute, and a special dessert was presented!!!! The food was outstanding, the wait staff was excellent, we will be back!"

"My husband and I dined here a couple of weekends before Valentine's Day. It was divine. The ambience, service, pace, & selection were fabulous. Incredibly romantic. It is expensive, but not as high add some places we've been that were not as pleasant. Our total bilk with appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts was about $150. We don't drink alcohol, so that probably cut the average bill by quite a bit. I stuck with water. The staff was very patient and posh without being snooty. I would highly recommend this to anyone celebrating a very special occasion our just wanting to make their partner feel very special. I saw a couple celebrating their 35th, teenagers celebrating a big night & a hipster couple. All seemed happy and content."

"All the food was good except for the onion soup. I have had it several times before but this time it seemed to be filled with too much bread. Service was a little off, and considering it was Tuesday night they were not busy. Had to request more butter and coffee and never got a refill on cream. Little things to complain about, but it wasn't your typical "Chez Nous style"."

"Resturant was ready and table was waiting when we arrived. So many places seem at a lose about where you are to be seated, even with a reservation. Not the case at Chez-Nous. Staff was very professional and friendly. They allowed us to move through the meal at our own pace. Wide menu - wish I could have tried a number of items. Hard to choose; but the choices we had were excellent. Enjoyed the space between tables - did not have someone bumping into us to get in/out or the waiers trying to serve."

"This was not our first visit to Chez Nous. Our expectations were high and our experience did not meet them. We each had one of the foie gras appetizers and we shared the chateaubriand and a soufflé. The food was good, but not superb. The appetizers were deliciously prepared, but not large enough of a portion to share should only one been ordered. The rest of the meal was prepared well and presented typically enough for the customary French restaurant. The evening's disappointment was held mostly with the service and ambiance. Our waiter disappeared over dessert and never appeared again. He was not overly attentive and somewhat neglectful of our table. The lighting in the restaurant could have been lowered for a romantic evening."

"We've recently returned from Paris and wanted to find someplace locally that could match the dining experience we had in France. Chez Nous did not disappoint!We went on Tuesday night to celebrate our second anniversary and found the small, tastefully decorated dining room quite charming. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and were swept away from that point. They had a wine we loved on their wine list, which we coupled with fresh, delicious cheese and a bowl of their incredible onion soup. It brough back memories! We had the 10 ounce strip steak in a fabulous cognac sauce and the gulf shrimp, which were firm and delicious. we ended with the souffle sampler which was otherwordly. I highly recommend Chez Nous for any occasion!"

"We had a wonderful time at Chez Nous! I can't say enoughg good things about it. The food was outstanding and served at the perfect pace. We ordered 4 courses and never felt full because the timing was perfectly spaced. The ambience was the best - classy crowd and well dressed. It's hard to find restaurants that require jackets for men. I appreciated that all patrons were dressed for the occasion. I didn't see a pair of jeans in the place! I also loved that there weren't any children. We have kids and love time away from them, just like other parents out there. The service was outstanding! We never had to request items - they could read our minds and brought us items before we realized we needed them. Great experience overall."

"In a city where great restaurants abound, this is one of the top five. Their fixed price menu reflects their French heritage with wine included and offers true value. The wines, selected to complement each dish, offer several outstanding French selections. Make sure to sign up for their "email family" which offers special pricing and events.
