"Returning to Tribeca Grill is like returning home. After all these years, the food, service and ambience are among the city's best. This restaurant never disappoints and the service is particularly noteworthy--just the right combination of attentive and casual, achieving that elusive blend that makes you feel cared for but not fussed over. HIGHLY recommend."

"Excellent service, salad and entrée were delicious. Our 3rd visit. We made the reservation late and were pleased they could accommodate us on a busy night. Greeted warmly at the door and our request for a quiet table was no issue."

"Easter Brunch is a crazy time to dine out, but we decided to give Tribeca Grill a 2nd try. The first time, we enjoyed a great meal (paired with wines by their sommelier) at the bar. Fantastic date night! Easter brunch is a decidedly different atmosphere - packed to the rafters and a prix fixe menu. While the food was tasty, the service was friendly but spread too thin, and the kitchen was crushed. It took us well over 2 hours to dine which is not easy with a 5 year old. Overall, it was VERY expensive for an okay family experience. I'd recommend it for a night out with friends, but would avoid planning your holiday meal here."

"I have had the fortunate opportunity to eat at Tribeca Grill twice in the last three months. Both times the food was wonderful. And the Cote Du Rhone wine recommended by the wine steward was excellent for an inexpensive wine."

"I recently took some out-of-town guests to Tribeca Grill for a night out. We loved the bar's specialty cocktail menu and the charming ambiance of the restaurant. The host was very accommodating despite a scheduling glitch, and we were seated immediately.
However, service was slow (and that was when we could find our waitress at all). I would not recommend the steak which was cooked wrong, but even when cooked properly was still flavorless, tough, and near-inedible. My other family fared better with the duck, tuna tartare, and octopus salad, which were all delicious. Overall, it was an a promising experience that turned out to be disappointing."

"Myself & my husband went here on our last of 4 nights in NY as part of our honeymoon. On arrival we were greeted my a lovely host.Once seated the restaurant manager came to greet us to congratulate us on getting married. From there on our night was perfect. The waiters were so lovely and the food was beyond amazing. It was by far our favourite meal out in NY that week and i cannot wait to go back to NY just so i can go back to the Tribeca Grill."

"I have been to the Tribeca grill a few times prior to this trip and was never disappointed until now. I had to wait over 1/2 hour for a drink refill. The food was just ok but previously the food was outstanding! This time I ordered the NY strip. It came well when I asked for medium and was very fatty. How is a strip fatty? There was no sauce with the dish leaving it very dry, it came with no vegetables and the fingerling potatoes, You got 3 and they were the best part all for the bargain price of $39!!! Had a cup of coffee that was burnt. Overall very disappointed. For 3 people the bill came to $200 and no one had and drinks. I wouldn't mind the price if the food was worth it but it was not. Sorry but stick a fork in this place they're done!"

"We were a bit concerned when we first walked in. It was very noisy near the front of restaurant. But then, to our great relief, the hostess led us to a perfect table at the back of the restaurant, caway from all the noise, and although the spirit of the place was still lively, we were able to have a nice, romantic, intimate meal in the corner! The waiter was very knowledgable about the items on the menu, and answered all our questions in a timely manner, cwith out making us feel rushed in any way. The food was superb! Each and every course. We would definitely return if we are in that area of NY again.....

"We were recommended The TriBeCa Grill by friends and it did not disappoint. We are running late, so I called the restaurant and they were very friendly, but after being dropped off at the wrong place by the taxi we were 35 mins late. I thought this may cause a problem on a Friday night, but the staff could not have been more helpful and found us a table. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, but the lay out of the tables still made for an intimate meal. Service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter helped us choose a lovely Rhone style wine made in US with which we would have struggled as the wine list is massive and also patiently explained the americanisms on the menu to us thickies! The beef fillets were delicious. Great experience."

"We had a wonderful dinner. The blue cheese and endive salad was delicious and bursting with flavor. The salmon was cooked just the way I like it, and the wine complemented the meal perfectly. Our server was warm and friendly. This is a special place that does not disappoint."

"I was very disappointed in my overall experience. I took my family there for brunch and the service was poor. It wasn't busy at all so I am not sure why it took so long to take our order and we had to keep asking for things. The food on the menu sounded much better than what it was. I ordered the bananas foster French toast and it wasn't very good. There were 5 of us and not 1 person enjoyed their meal. The look and feel of the restaurant was very nice, the service and food was lacking. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant."

"Food was great. Waiter noted that generally cooks are not amenable to special orders but they did accommodate my request to add spinach and tomatoes to omelet. Waiter was very friendly and accommodating, and fixed up a special birthday cake slice. Only issue was $10 drinks. To really be a destination for Sunday brunch that price should be less."

"Food was awesome and the staff was great! Our cab was caught in traffic so I called to let them know we'd be late for our reservation. They were appreciative of the call and held our table for almost an hour! (Our cab dropped us off a couple miles away and told us we could walk; we didn't get there until we flagged down another cab who took us there). The restaurant was very good about it and we were seated immediately although the restaurant was completely full!"

"Since discovering Tribeca we've looked forward to dining here. We liked the location, decor, lighting, and wonderful service. The cheese plate appetizer set a great mood for the entree. Although they arrived in good time, both were not hot. They were warm enough, but not hot as one would expect of a steak and pan-seared scallops. Also, there was nothing about them that really made them "pop" for the price. The desserts were good. The special "Happy Birthday" plate for my wife was quite thoughtful. I liked the concept and flavor of the banana tart. We'll keep exploring Tribeca's other offerings before we come back to the Grill."

"Went to Tribeca Grill on a Friday night for a 7pm reservation. Very quiet when we first arrived, but soon after it was packed. We shared the shrimp and grits which had a very nice spice to it. My girlfriend had the seared scallops and I have the filet. My only complaint is that my dish was a bit over salted, which can kill a meal. However, it was still very tasty.
Service was better than average, but not spectacular. We shared the banana tarte for dessert, and it was a winner. Beautiful presentation, excellent carmelization on top and flaky yet light crust. We would certainly come back."

"This is my fourth time at the Tribeca Grill and I once again was not disappointed. My pan-seared sea scallops with bacon risotto was outstanding and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The staff is very accommodating to people with special dietary requests as the woman next to me ordered the same dish but was a vegetarian so the bacon was taken out. The wine list is superb and one of the few places that has great wine choices by the glass. My only "con" of the evening was that since I was dining alone, the waitstaff was a little too quick to rush me out the door when I wanted to take my time and savor the experience. I was not a walk-in and had a reservation."

"This is the second time I have been to Tribeca Grill. We returned because of the wonderful experience we had the last time. It seemed like we walked into a totally different restaurant. Our appetizer came very fast and was very good (mushroom dumplings) The entre took over 20 minutes to arrive. My daughter and I had the Bass. I believe the reason for the delay was that it was left on the service table. Both of our fish were well done. The fish was dry and the cauliflower was cold. My daughters fish had a very large blood line in it, that should have been removed. My wife had the scallops that were overly salty and a bit over done. Not once during our meal did someone come to our table to inquire about our food.I would have complained."

"Our experience here was less than stellar. Our reservations were for 9:15 however we we weren't seated until about 9:45 (and that was after several complaints to the hostess that we were long past our reservation time). Once we were seated, our waiter appeared only a handful of times throughout the whole meal. We were seated in a booth off near the kitchen so we definitely felt forgotten. The food was delicious (we both had the scallops and risotto) but once we were able to track down our waiter for the check we were more than ready to get out of there. The food really was wonderful but between the noise and poor service, I definitely won't be returning here or recommending it to others."

"Maybe it was the night, or maybe the staff, but I was not overly pleased. It also could have been the week I have had with excellent rest. I went because of the Godfather, but had an early dinner. Waitress was a bit slow with us, food was good. I loved the atmosphere, but I think it calls for something else.. not sure what it is.. music, lighting, ?? ambience. More attention to each table from rest of staff would help."

"My husband and I are avid dinners in New York. We use to dine frequent at Tribecca Grill and have not been there in about a year. However, we had friends visiting from Europe and know they have a wonderful brunch so we made a reservation. Once we arrived from the inexperience staff to the meal we were very disappointed. This restaurant use to have wonderful service and fantastic brunch. I am not sure what happened, however, we were extremely disappointed and upset we took out of town guests to eat at Tribecca Grill. This restaurant is not at all what is once was. Will definitely not be returning."
