"The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Service excellent and friendly. Modern decor with a cute bar area open to outside. Swordfish was so delicious with some different side dishes. My husbands fresh tuna was equally delicious. Crab cakes apps. were also delicious. A little pricey when you add everything up. A glass of wine for $9 I think is too much for Marlboro. Some entrees quite pricey also but a nice place for a special event. Would be tough to take a group out here if one person were paying."

"Mothers day luncheon for our family was wonderful. We were greeted with smiles from the hostess station and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server introduced himself with enthusiasm and conducted himself with courtesy and professionalism as he saw to all of our needs throughout our meal. The food was very flavorful and presented beautifully on our plates. Compliments to the chefs for their dedication of preparing our dishes. Everything from our appetizers, soup & salads to fried seafood and lazy lobster and dessert were served within a timely manner and always with a smile. Fantastic day of family and food! Thank you for making the day memorable."

"We both got the Lazy Lobster Surf and Turf and it was delicious. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away using our Open Table reservation that we had only made an hour before. Service was prompt, the filet was cooked to order and we enjoyed the meal. We'll definitely be back ."

"This is the most recent of several visits to this local restaurant. Food and hospitality were, as always, very satisfying, prices as advertised. Portion sizes were very well sized. Server seemed to be very new to the profession. Host was attentive and, as always, made appropriate wine recommendations. Unfortunately live music in the lounge area was barely audible in the restaurant area. One can request to dine at a hi-top in the lounge however, in my opinion that would diminish the dining experience."

"This was our first time here and thought everything was great from the service to the subtle decor, great wine and drink selections, as well as a wonderful menu. "I was pleasantly surprised by this neighborhood gem in Marlborough. You feel as if you are at a five star restaurant in a big city. There is a gentlment who walks around and chats with guests and is extremely welcoming. The food is fantastic, and fresh. The portions are just right. I have been twice and the food and service was great both times."

"Me fiancee and I came here after work one day, I work in Marlborough and he drove up to meet me. The restaurant was easy to find- right on the corner of two major roads. It was quiet, a lot of tables felt crammed into a small space. They should probably consider getting rid of one or two booths just to space things out a bit. I had the Salmon and my fiancee had Cioppino (a combination shellfish). Both were cooked good and tasted good. For dessert we had the Creme Brulee, which was cold on the bottom. The service was fine (better for the table next to us, which we noticed). Nothing about the place was Outstanding, but we were glad we went, we just probably won't be back. For the price, we expected a little more."

"We arrived on time and were ushered to our table Our wine, decent Malbec, was delivered promptly. However, the table had folding legs with a brace that made it impossible to sit comfortably; we mentioned this and were moved to a booth. After a while we placed our order. Our appetizers arrived a full hour after we arrived. Fish soup was much too salty and crab cakes were mushy with filling. Little crab flavor. Eventually, our entrees arrived. Sesame-crusted tuna ($24)was boring and and its noodle side dish was strange. Jumbo shrimp, only 3 tough ones , with tasteless cheese grits ($24)did not please. We like to eat a relaxing meal, but it ought to taste good and be an ample portion. Small seafood menu was surprising and very uninteresting."

"We had dinner reservations for four on a Saturday at 7pm to celebrate a birthday. We were seated immediately but waiting 10-15 minutes before we were able to order drinks. We expected a much more extensive seafood menu especially when the name of the restaurant being what is was. They were out of Sesame Crusted Tuna plus two of the four oyster selections so we had to change our order. The Cioppino was served with half of the lobster still in it's shell. When I went to pick up the lobster to crack it open I burned myself on the scalding hot soup broth. Service continued to be below par the entire dinner. Total bill $275 with tip. We will never return."

"The restaurant from beginning to end was OUTSTANDING!! Never In my experience does a restaurant cover all their bases. Usually the service is terrible and the food is so so. Our waiter was wonderful and accommodating without being in our face. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was appropriately dressed, clean and always smiling. We were greeted with smiles by the hostess, the waiter, the manager, and food runner as well.
It was such a treat to finally have a beautiful dining experience where it seems so many restaurant never get it right!! It's so bad in most cases that you might think it is rocket science. Great service is the most important factor and food second. Fish has mastered both with the utmost quality and standard"

"I met my girlfriends here for dinner to celebrate a birthday. I noted this on the openable reservation but never mentioned it to the waitstaff. After our dinner, they brought us over a dessert with a candle. This was a pleasant surprise and we appreciated them going the extra mile.

"We had the twin lobsters which were great! So we will be back to try some of the other dishes. One of us had the swordfish and wasn't crazy about it. We loved the clam chowda! service was good, not too busy especially for a sat night. I wonder why? I little pricey for Marlboro, but better than heading into the city. Will be back."

"We came because we know Barbara Dolan and wanted to hear her sing. We were able to hear her from our table, but next time I will request closer to the bar to hear the jazz trio better. The food was great! Will definately come again. Our friends loved everything about the place."

"Happened to be up in the area on business and had the privilege of having my wife with me which is rare. She came across Fish via a web reccomendation and we decided to try it. We weren't really expecting much and were quite surprised with the selections and quality of the food at this lovely spot. Moreover there was a jazz trio and singer which only added to the ambience. The service was great and we especially enjoyed the incredible bottle of Chenin Blanc which was only $38.00
We would highly recommend Fish and I look forward to a return visit the next time I'm in the area."

"We went out to celebrate my fiance's b'day. We got there early and sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful when we had questions about their specialty drinks. When we were ready to sit at our table, we were promptly sat and our server was very attentive.
It is a special place for us to eat at, but the prices are reasonable (8oz Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus for about $25.)"

"Went for the Valentine's Day celebration event, with a prix fixe menu. I had the smoked octopus appetizer and it was amongst the best I've ever had. Pure heaven. My wife had the shellfish appetizer (2 oysters, 2 very large shrimp, 2 clams) which was very good. Wife had the Seafood Cioppino, which was just ok... the broth was not that flavorful and it was served with a dollop of mashed potatoes and no bread which was weird. I had the duck confit which was also just ok. The desserts were excellent. Ambiance was very nice as they had a jazz band playing, nice touch for Valentines. Biggest complaint would be the price. $59/each. Normal menu lists Cioppino ($14), Duck ($25), Dessert ($8). That's $47 for that normally."

"This visit was a quick sunday lunch with BUCK A SHUCK... Oyseters still a bit on the "debris" side, and they told us our beloved popcorn shrimp would be taken off the menu. We had the calamari. These guys KNOW how to fry well! And the server babied my broken foot with TLC, making sure I was far from incoming and danger... So far, so good! Try their fried ANYTHING - they know flavor and how to fry properly!"

"Valentine's service without a hitch is hard to find. Flawless meal start to finish. Outstanding Service. This place has won me over. My octopus was PHENOMENAL! Rivaling the memorable octi I had at Babbo's NYC (a Mario Batalli restaurant) - the portion was twice as large for half the price, just as succulent and melt in your mouth and seasoned PERFECTLY! Third place is the same dish from Barcelona... So If I can honestly say that this suburban watering hole with flair served grilled octopus THAT good - IT IS PHENOMENAL! My duck confit - 2 thighs and leg fall apart goodness, and my husbands 9 onz filet mignon PERFECTLY cooked were out of the ball park. Our friends enjoyed their meal and our cocktails - all top shelf high quality!"

"Fish is my family's favorite restaurant. Ian, the general manager is the most knowledgable wine expert I've ever met. He's awesome and always recommends an excellent bottle. The food is fabulous and it's always the highlight of my week to go to Fish on a Sunday evening."
