Inspired by the rustic simplicity of Italian cuisine, Chef Paul Minnillo offers Italian food to his new culinary venture in Cleveland, Ohio. "Came here on Wednesday evening at 7pm. Appetizers and salads were delicious - much better than expected for a fairly casual place. Found a good bottle of wine at a reasonable price point. We had 2 pizzas and the strozzapreti. The pasta was very good - unusual combination of flavors and very good. The only thing I didn't like about the place was the noise level. Although the dining area was only about 1/2 full (and none were noisy parties) the space was extremely loud, making conversation difficult. I'd suggest the restaurant hang some noise-absorbing materials to make the experience more pleasant."

"Flour...great food, exceptional service. Wonderful gastronomic experience. Spoiled by a table where parents brought their toddler and allowed him to roam the floor at will. As toddlers do, this one made lots of noise. People, please maintain control of your kids. Flour is a restaurant, not a daycare."

"The food was excellent. Wish the menu had a few more beef items but did include pastas, salad, and special entrees including pork, fish, chicken, ribeye. Comfortable, casual atmosphere but suggest smart casual wear.
I would return and recommend it for a special occasion or a dinner with friends."

"My husband and I go to Flour maybe once every 2 months. This time we decided to take some friends with us (we were a group of five). We asked for a patio table when we made the reservation, as it can sometimes get loud inside depending on how crowded it is. We had our usual warm marinated olives for an appetizer - it's not on the current menu (May 2013) but they do serve it if you ask. After having warm olives, I never want to have cold olives again! We decided to get 4 pizzas to share - 2 margheritas, 1 classic cheese, and 1 mushroom. All were excellent. Really thin crust, wood-fired flavor, simple but fresh ingredients that allow the flavors to shine - everything a pizza should be. Our server, Adam, was friendly and helpful."

The server was super friendly and very attentive. Half price off a bottle of wine Tuesday was another bonus.
The food presentation was beautiful and the portion was just right. We ordered 2 antipasti, a salad and pizza to share with 3 adults. It was perfect and so delicious! Oh and the desserts were also good. I loved the Panna cotta!

"okay, but they should not take reservations for brunch for 2:30 since they rush you when you order. Our server was alright, but never gave us refills on our drinks until asked and basically ignored us--we sat on the patio which was nicely set-up for comfortable outside dining. Our first experience we had a lovely and attentive server who guided us in our choices and was well informed.
The food was delicious and portions were very generous. The brunch offers such an interesting selection of food that it's hard to decide what you want (everything would be good). The drink menu is a quite a trip through unusual flavors and combinations. Will return.
Can't wait to return for what we enjoy as a brunch place with patio for fun summer dining."

"My husband and I have eaten here once before and it was ok so we tried again and it was not great. My salmon dish was super oily and his steak was fair. The service was slow, we often didn't see our server for long periods of time. We are crossing this one off the list, we won't be back. There are just to many other great restaurants in Cleveland!!"

"upscale look; great menu, interesting dishes, but the service just stank. i had the feeling that i was interrupting the servers and putting them out to make requests for special things like menus, or drinks, or some of the very good bread they bake. they charge high prices, which i don't mind to pay, but i really felt taken advantage of.
if they had a welcoming and warm service, instead of basking in how cool they (think they) are, it could be a great place.
but at this point, it is not"

"We were there for 3 hours, mostly waiting for food (and the bill) to be delivered. Everything was very expensive and the food was at best mediocre to inedible. The place was very noisy and stark. We were amazed how crowded it was and wondered how many of the patrons were repeat customers. We are not likely to go back."

"Monthly ladies night, trying Cleveland's restaurants, thought we had finally found an east side one to return to, not so much for this critic. Service was slow and waiter left us alone too much. Food was nothing special, would rather unfortunately spend my money downtown or Tremont or anywhere else. Kind of a shame would have loved to love it, but it was just bland. But there is always next month, and FABULOUS Cleveland restaurants to choose and return to!"

"We had an amazing meal all around! We started with tasty Beef Carpachio that was perfect and the olive bread on the table was great! We then had the Egg Ravioli which was the best meal that I've ever eaten! Thank God she told me about this dish because I'm in love! My friend had the Short Ribs with Mushroom Risotto and that was great too! We then moved onto dessert...yum, yum, yum! We did the Pana Cotta with Balsalmic and the Snickers Pie! So amazing!!!! Cant wait to go back! Also, Our waitress was a doll and answered all of our questions graciously! Even the guy that was filling our water glasses was awesome!! It was a great night! Thank you Flour!"

"All four of us loved our appetizer's and meals. The restaurant was extremely busy so service was slow and a couple of time's our waiter forgot about bringing drinks. The only drawback was the price of my husband's drink.....for his 3 drinks he could have bought a bottle of Drambuie. We would definitely go back again."

"This place just keeps getting better!!! The pasta dishes are incredible! You need to try the non traditional wedding soup! Get a pizza from their stone oven for the table in addition to what their special apitizer is. I just got back from Italy and no restaurant in this city reminds me of the cooking and dishes that we had there. Its just incredible! Make reservations and try to sit in the bar if you like that as we do. We went with some friends who had not been there since their grand opening and they were blown away how good it was! We eat there once a week or get takeout, its just that good!"

"My husband and I enjoy this restaurant and have gone there many times. Although the menu is spare I've always found something just right for my appetite and taste.
My only complaint is that the place lacks coziness, it's decor is too metal and glass modern. But that's up to personal preference and it should speak to the delightful food and excellent service that we keep coming back!"

"We dine frequently at Flour. It has consistently good food and service. One thing to note is that they may only seat tables in the bar area on Sundays, which is quite noisy. It definitely changes the "feel" of the restaurant. I'd recommend dining there on a different night of the week if you want to enjoy good conversation over the excellent food and drinks and they serve."

THE ATLANTI CHAR FISH DISH HAD TOO MUCH SAUCE AND SWEET. OUR FRIEND'S PORK DISH THE MEAT WAS FULL OF FAT AND SHE TOLD THE WAITER. WE REQUSTED BUTTER WITH BREAD TWICE AND FINALLY HAD TO ASK THE MAITRE'D FOR IT. OVERALL THE FOOD COULD BE BETTER AND NOISE REDUCTION IS IN ORDER FOR THIS RESTAURANT. "Ordered the Caesar...good but not a fan of a poached egg as I do not think it enhances a salad. The Pork Cavatelli was OK nothing special. Husband had Faroe Salmon which was very good. Friend had ravilio which she enjoyed and it was a lovely presentation. We were seated near the bar and we had to speak very loudly to have a conversation. It has a contemporary,austere interior. Great location."

"We went to Flour (pronounced just like the baking flour)for my husband's birthday. There was a little slip up with getting us to the right table, but the service besides that little accident was fantastic - our waiter did a great job of appropriately waiting for the right time to interrupt - and in no way rushed us. The food was very good - we had the wood grilled margarita pizza as an appetizer - tasty, but not extra special - I had the salmon atop ratatouille - excellent! - and we shared a tiramisu - which was very good. My husband had the sea bass - which he loved as well. Overall - a nice time - it's on the pricier side - but worth it for a nice meal."
