"We waited an hour for our food and the waiter was short and dismissive.
We finally got our food and it was far from warm. We sent the food back, where it was microwaved, and returned soggy.
My child's grilled cheese sandwich was burnt and to top it off there was a follicle in my husbands plate. I would advise against choosing this for any celebratory event."

"This was a great place for a family early supper. They were so responsive to the kids and the individual hot fudge Sunday was a real treat for my grandson. For the adults lots of choices of taste treats and a wonderful beer/ale selection. They seated us away from the bar so it was great for all since we had used the on line reservation and they even had the highchair set up. Grandpa and I want to go back later to enjoy the later evening pub experience."

"44 Stone Public House was a most amazing find! The menu offerings were so creative and unique, it was impossible to choose what I would eat. I was forced to rely on the server to guide me. Ultimately, I decided to knowingly select more than I would be able to consume, just to be able to experience the varieties of flavors and textures! It was worth the guilt of not cleaning my plate. The biggest surprise came with the check, which was barely HALF what I anticipated it should be. Beautiful space, great service, friendly atmosphere, an extraordinary experience."

"44 Stone is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbia. The owners, Mark and Dave, take food seriously and the menu specializes in interesting takes on traditional pub fare. On this visit, my group shared a number of small plates including lamb sliders, pork sliders, chicken livers, and a ploughman's lunch platter featuring house cured charcuterie and a delicious assortment of tasty cheeses. 44 Stone featured a dozen, dark, mainly Belgian-style ales on tap that evening, which were perfect with the food items we selected."

"44 Stone is a great place. Between the (unusual for this region) English pub food to the outstanding beer section, the only thing that makes 44 better is their first class service. My reservation was lost for a large group on a very busy night. But the staff made more than accommodating arrangements for us. "We loved the corn fritters appetizer. We ate off the sandwhich menu and our sandwhiches were spectacular. I recommend the pork belly with a fried egg. Some sort of fried cake came highly recommended for dessert but it was just a really really thick funnel cake-- we found it unmanageable. Skip this dessert but there were others on the menu that peaked our intrest."
