"As usual the quality of the food was very good. Had filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. Good alternative selections for side dishes. Expansive selections that has something for everyone. Had an alcholic drink "straight-up" and found the quantity of the pour to be VERY slim. Literally was done with my drink after four sips! Felt rushed throughout the meal. We purposely waited to order the entre yet was still done with the entire meal in just over an hour. Waitress waited near our table while we were eating our appetizer. As soon as we were done she scooped up the dishes creating a rushed environment."

"Although we'd love to keep this place our little secret, Prime 131 deserves the credit for being a nice restaurant. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is very nice. The bacon-wrapped scallop appetizer is sublime."

"This was our second time at Prime 131. Great both times. Food is delicious... we had the honey buffalo naan flatbread app, salad, two meals and one dessert. Love the bar area... we've sat there both times. Definitely a louder place but hey, we were in the bar. Service is really good... a tad slower this time that before but when you're out with your honey, it's just fine to relax and enjoy. We will be back!"

"Hostess and staff were great and very flexible with us sitting down for dinner as we wanted to have a drink at the bar prior to being seated for dinner. They sat us in a quiet corner so our table could catch up. We appreciated that a lot. Overall service was very good, but the food was only ok. With strong competition up the street (Coach Grille) would have expected a bit more from the kitchen for the prices of the menu.
The bar area is nice and spacious, so would consider Prime for that, but not sure the cost is worth it for the a formal dinner."

"Service was good- steak was over done and rest of sides on the plate were cold. Crab cakes were a bit too bready tasting. Lots of booth seating so we had great separation from those around us which made the noise level bearable. Good ambiance and drink menu. Hope the mgt continues to work on things bc it feels like it could be a great place if they tighten up."

"I was exceedingly disappointed with our experience. First, we ordered four dinners; two of the four (steak tips plus caesar salad; swordfish) were out. My wife asked if she could substitute something for the steak tips. She was told no. So she ordered an entire steak dinner, plus a caesar salad. I then ordered a hamburger instead of swordfish. I asked if I could substitute a salad for the french fries. I was told no -- I would have to pay extra for the salad. I asked to speak to the manager. He told me the same thing, hostilely. It was not what he said, but how he said it that was a problem -- he addressed me as if I were an adversary, not a disappointed customer. I was neither rude nor aggressive, and simply said OK. I will never return."

"My first visit to the restaurant and I would come back. I ordered the petit filet mignon and it was cooked appropriately and the meat was delicious. The side accompaniments weren't particularly ambitious and were lukewarm but tasted good. We tried to ordered a capuccino but they didn't offer it, little surprising."

"Food was delicious - everyone loved what they ordered. My scallops were the best I have ever had - they had a beautiful sear on them and weren't overcooked. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing. We told her we had a time constraint and she made sure to get our order in and out promptly. We would definitely return."

"We had a great time for my son and daughter's birthday dinner. The service was great and the food was delicious! Thanks for a wonderful dining experience! We had the calamari and crab cakes which were a hit. My son loved his steak. My daughter and my son's girlfriend loved their filet. I liked my sea bass and my hubby enjoyed the meatloaf. And my daughter's friend loved his hamburger.
The cocktails were great and in good sized glasses! The cheesecake and brownie sundae were out of this world!

"We were celebrating a birthday and we had heard great things about the place. We were not impressed with the food at all ~ the salad was very bland (capresi) the scallops were under-cooked and all you could taste as pepper, no flavor at all, and certainly not seared. The chicken dish was OK, but the big pasta noodles were awful. Very disappointed with the service as well, had to wait forever for the check. Usually don't complain at all, but you asked for it!"

"I would definitely suggest Prime 131 Grill if you haven't tried it yet. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. The menu offers a variety of choices from an elegant, gourmet meal to regular fare such a burgers or salads. I'd suggest reserving with Open Table to make sure you get in and don't have to wait on special occasions or weekend nights. The ambiance is very good with subdued lighting and if you are seated in a booth, the tables have some privacy. We tried the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer suggested by the waitress and it was delicious. The steaks are always very tender and excellent. The veal steak was also very good. Our waitress helped make the meal very enjoyable and gave us great service."

"We had a nice dinner in an unfinished, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I chose this restaurant because I thought my husband would like steak and they have a good selection. We both ordered the crab cakes and were not disappointed. They were delicious and came with great accompaniments. Cheesecake was a little dry. The service was good though we had to prompt the waitress before she told us about the specials, and still was not forthcoming about the soup of the day, until we explicitly asked.
A neighborhood find and we will return!"

"The food was outstanding. Two of us ordered the petite filet, one ordered the seared scallops. All dishes and sides were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and were delicious. The entrees are a little pricey, but this was a special occasion (birthday dinner). There are lower-priced alternatives too. The noise level was very high when we arrived, making conversation difficult. It abated some, and we did not have to shout at each other, but it still did not feel intimate. Our server was efficient and friendly though lacked a fun, relatable quality (we like to joke around with our servers). She seemed put off when we declined dessert menus. Overall, an excellent place for special occasions or meeting friends."

"This Wayland spot was hopping when my wife and I went for dinner. Booked through OpenTable... got there and were seated right away. We were close to the bar in a booth... great spot. Like I said... very busy... so it was a tad loud. But our service was excellent and the food was delicious. Pricey (for us)... but a nice steak house and good alternative to the Coach Grill (right down the street)."

"I was looking for a local, good, restaurant. This was my first visit to Prime 131 Grill. We were greated warmly as we arrived, promptly greeted by our server once seated. The dish chosen by 2 in the party was the bacon wrapped filet migon. Both raved about the dish, the meat was cooked pefectly, the cut of meat was very flavorful and tender. Although I would highly recommend this restaurant, the one change I would like to see at least one meatless dish. Aside from salads, there was not one. I know it is a steak house, but most will still offer a pasta or vegetarian dish. Just one would make a difference about my return."

"My wife and I went there for Valentine's Day. The food was great, and the service was very good. The only detractor was the ambiance, they had current top 40-style music playing throughout the restaurant. It could have been more romantic, especially considering the occasion, but overall it was a very good experience."

"Lovely Valentine's Day dinner. Seated immediately upon arrival. Excellent food. Excellent service. We could not be happier about our experience. This was our second Valentine's Day dinner at Prime 131.Ordinarily, we avoid dinning out on holidays due to "special menus" rushed service and long waits beyond reservation times.Prime proves to be an exception to this policy so it is our special occasion dinning choice."

"The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, even on a busy Valentine's day. The waitress was exceptional and very attentive without being too in-your-face. The steak and fish was cooked perfectly and delicious. I would recommend Prime131 Grill to everyone for everything from a romantic dinner to a group gathering."

"Considering the price of the menu I expected more. There was no parking available, it took 15 mins to find a spot. The "specials menu" were dropped at my table as the waitress was walking by. The specials were not read to my party. My party had to ask for water. My beer was flat and I requested at different draft. I received the same beer back topped off, with the explanation the keg had just been changed? I had to send the same beer back twice! The food was good although, the staff seemed overwhelmed with the crowd."

"well this is our favorite steak house and I was actually hoping one of these times we would get a bad meal so we would expand our horizons and try another steakhouse but that just hasn't happened here yet-food is always the best and haven't had anyone at the table ever say anything different. Also the open table reservations have worked wonderful-we've had a bit of a wait but not anything to complain about love it"
