"We love 15 Walnut, especially the choose your own antipasto boards. The cheeses and options are always great. We go there for special occasions but its also family friendly. The day boat scallops are outstanding."

"My mom and I popped in for Mother's Day when our plans had changed and I was able to get on OpenTable.com and make a quick reservation. We opted for the burgers, they are always yummy at 15 Walnut. We prefer the lunch menu over the dinner menu (dinner menu was the offering on Mother's Day). We were seated at the newer high top tables in the main dining area and it sure made me wonder why they put these in instead of the low seated tables they had previoulsy. Mom and I had no issue with them but other patrons did - this restaurant is often frequented by older women. Service tends to be pretty slow here and at lunch there is never any bread available so be prepared to wait for your meal. As a townie, I'll be back. The food is always good!"

"My sweetheart and I have become frequent repeat guests at 15 Walnut. We know enough wait staffers now to have friendly discussions, and the food is consistently very good. I tried the brisket on this visit, just as a departure from my usual favorites -- short ribs or margherita pizza. The brisket was good, but I'm afraid that since it was the best meal my mother ever prepared, this version came up a little short of that. It was still good, but I'll never order apple crisp anywhere for the same reason. Nothing will ever compare to mom's brisket and apple crisp. My sweetheart had the scallops with shrimp risotto, which was excellent. I always recomment 15 Walnut highly. Warm atmosphere, wonderful waiters, fine food."

"I found the meal to be mediocre, especially for the price. The service was slow and it was not busy. Was given a cheese plate due to the slow service but it too was mediocre. Maybe Monday is not their day."

"Food and atmosphere is far superior than what you would expect from a restaurant located in a strip mall. Service is always fast and friendly. Great kids menu. Highly recommend!"

"From the minute we walked in for dinner everyone was very friendly, our waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious... it was nice to find a restaurant that gave a decent portion of mussels, the seared scallops were very good, as was the pasta with bolonese. I would recommend this restaurant."

"Besides the atmosphere, the menus is pretty much the same as Lat 43, Alchemy, and the Hale St. Tavern. It's all good, but it doesn't really bring anything new. However, it's great to see a place like this in Hamilton. Both the lunch and dinner scene are really good.
Service is decent enough, friendly bar staff. They could work on a thing or two (e.g. just bring chopsticks and SS when someone orders sushi, don't wait to be asked), but overall nothing to complain about.
Definitely recommend."

"What a great place!!! The service is so gracious welcoming and professional. And the food is terrific. The 15 Walnut sushi roll is something to write home about. Absolutely wonderful--and we've done sushi from California and Hawaii to New England. My husband loved the pizza (bar-b-que chicken with avocado). The farm board is also a terrific idea--love the three small plates in one. Personally, I do find the house dressing a bit on the vinegary end of things. The desserts also sound delicious. Some evening, we hope to pop in after theater and try one of them!"

"This was my third visit to this neighborhood restaurant, and once again I had a fabulous meal. Kudos to the chefs at 15 Walnut! My lamb chops with goat cheese and polenta could not have tasted any better."

"Nice varied menu from sushi to contemporary French bistro; always something for everyone. Seasonal soups are always exceptional: from early summer's minestrone to winter's cream of parsnip with beet chip garnish. Prices are moderate - not expensive, not cheap. Good value, good food, friendly & caring service. Go, you'll like it!"

"Great food. Lots of people. Dressed according to the Business Casual dress code for a special evening out with my wife without the kids. Was disappointed to find people in jeans, hoodies, baseball hats on backwards. Not really the ambiance I was expecting. Nothing against the restaurant, but whatever happened to dressing up for a night out? Now that my expectations have been lowered, I will go back if the opportunity presents itself, I just won't dress up for it."

"I had the barman make a corpse Reviver number 2 - what a great drink! Perfectly executed tuna, delicious parsnip soup and tasty aranciniis. Tiramisu needs a little more buzz. Bread was stale."

"Superb farm fresh food and pleasant wait staff. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, elegant yet casual. Seems to be the place to be on Friday nights; conversations a bit louder and more exuberant than we prefer, but still enjoyable. Be careful if seated near exit on a cold evening . . . when the door opens, BRRRR!"

"I have been to 15 walnut many times, with varying success. In general, I think the starters, apps and salads all sound better than they end up being, and the entrees are a much more solid bet. I have dined there twice this weekend
Meyer lemon martini- excellent Local cheese plate - just ok, nothing special. Good size portion though. House salad, Caesar salad, beet salad - all just ok. Too much lettuce, dressings dull, Caesar was sort of gloppy and the dressing had an odd taste. Beets not very flavorful Meatball- ok, pretty good flavor, no detectable mushrooms Swordfish special - excellent, very moist with nice crust and sauce. Big win Chicken- again very nice, flavorful and moist, great stuffing Lemon tiramisu - no lemon."

"Very Nice local restaurant.. location understated...which was nice food was very good I would change the water glass style... kind of reminds me of my house rather than a classy place.. also would have liked to SEE a desert menu rather than trying to remember the verbal explan of the nice waitress"

"Had a nice lunch with an old friend, and we comfortably sat in a booth for three hours. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no pressure to leave. The staff was most gracious and kept our water glasses filled. My food choice was a little disappointing, but my friend really enjoyed her meal. Next time I will choose something different. It is one of my daughter's favorite restaurants!"

"The food (mussels appetizer) was outstanding....so much flavor. For dinner we had the swordfish and bolognese which were absolutely fabulous. I am know for not finishing my meals but I enjoyed every bite!!! We also had the 14 Hands Chardonnay and 14 Hands Cabernet which were perfect. My only issue was that I felt our table was in the middle of the room - not very cozy at all. The service was excellent....just enough attention and great suggestions on food and wine. I cannot wait to return."

"Food was mediocre at best. Crab cakes were greasy and had very little actual crab, risotto was swimming in cheese and the duck was dry. We will not go back again."

"The food is good at lunch. Rather than dazzle, it's focus is more on providing local sourcing of products and in-season offerings. I have eaten dinner here too. Each time the dinner was great with very good service, too."
