Finch & Fork is a Modern American Bar and Grill centrally located on the corner of Carrillo and Chapala streets in the heart of Santa Barbara’s vibrant downtown. Chef James Siao draws inspiration from the vibrant local ingredients located in the area including local fishers, farmers and ranchers to craft an ingredient driven menu of delectable social plates and soul satisfying larger plates all meant to be served with artisanal wines, craft cocktails and great beers in the warm embrace of our convivial bar and dining room.
Finch & Fork’s bar program focuses on cocktails that are fresh, light and approachable. Santa Barbara’s most forward thinking mixologists; work their magic on clear spirit classics like the Moscow Mule and Bramble but also pay homage to the whisky classics like the Manhattan and Build Your Own Smash- you name the fresh fruit, the spirit and we build it in a mason jar at your table.
"Ahhh... too bad we were not a local, otherwise Finch and Fork would be my to-go place for food. The food was amazing; The ribs (off happy hour menu) were excellent and so flavorful you just want to lick the bone off even if you already finished the meat. Too bad by the time we got this appetizer the happy hour was over, otherwise, we would totally order more of it ($4). The raw oysters, salads, garlic and parmesan fries, tacos off happy hour menu were all excellent.
We picked the special menu as the entree - Whole Bass Taco and oh boy! It was the most innovative, delicious and fun dish to try.
As if we were not full by this time, we also split a banana milkshake and Yelpers were right! It was THAT good!
So Yummy!"

"My wife and I were on a stay-cation in Santa Barbara and on the reviews from Yelp decided to try this place. Loved everything about it. Food, service, and restaurant were all great. Would definitely recommend it and would return for another meal."

"First time to Santa Barbara and was looking for a nice lunch spot to end our trip. And boy did I find one. The food was amazing, just gave it 4 stars though because it lacked seasoning. Best Bloody Mary I've had, I liked it because it had a little bit of heat to it which I love. Everyone there was super friendly, I will for sure be coming back and telling friends about it."

"I did some research to fine a place to take my octogenarian parents to take for dinner and this was just the spot. Excellent menu and very inviting space. 3 of us did the pork and cork which was fantastic! The problem was my wife's halibut was jerky. Not a little over done but way over done. The we would have sent it back but by the time the server came back to check on us (about 20 mins) we had finshed eating except the jerky which was sitting uneaten on the plate. The waiter was told when he finally came back to show the fish to the kitchen and let them know. When we got the bill we were still charged $29 for a terribly cooked piece of fish. Let a sour taste in my month. I'm sure the manager would have been shocked."

"The food was fine, not anything to go back to. There are too many places in Santa Barbara that are at least as good or better, with a better location. This place has a great ocean view from the roof, but they won't allow non-hotel guests to enjoy it, so we stared on the Gas Station across the street, and watched to homeless hanging around."

Review 10 for Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
"Slow day midweek with not many people at lunch, however our meal was first class. The tri-tip sandwich was superb. Caesar salad was truly authentic with our request for additional anchovies. Our server Ling Ling always checked up on us, service first class. Highly recommend. We will be back."

"Our first visit to Coast for lunch, and we enjoyed it. We had lamb burgers which were great. There was not much business at 1:30pm, but we still had excellent service. We hope to return soon."

Review 14 for Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
"We really enjoyed our experience at Coast. Our server Jessica was very friendly. Our reservation through Open Table got messed up somehow and the manager went out of her way to call O.T. and get it taken care of so I could get my points (1000 to be exact). Really appreciate that! Our food was very tasty! We had the Coast burger, the potato and fennel soup, a salmon taco, and the ahi salad. We will be back! Thanks!"

"The staff at Coast is friendly and attentive (but not intrusive). I had the lamb burger and it was outstanding. My husband enjoyed his chicken as well. We stayed 4 nights in Santa Barbara and ended up here twice for late night meals."

"We ended up at Happy Hour--excellent $5 Manhattans and Margaritas. Awesome huge plate of truffled fries with mustard aioli for (I think it was) $5. I would definitely return here, if I lived in the area. Prompt and friendly servers. Nice !"

Review 21 for Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
"My boyfriend and I (Los Angeles natives) ventured north to Santa Barbara for Valentine's Day weekend. I found Coast on OpenTable, not knowing anything about it except it was voted "romantic" and didn't have a pre-fixe Valentine's Day menu (which are so annoying). Coast is inside the Canary Hotel on State Street, which is very nice and old-fashioned looking. The restaurant tables themselves are mixed in with the bar area, so the romantic ambiance is a little ruined by the loud drunkies. The decor and candlelight were romantic, the food was delicious and there were a few vegetarian options. The service was lacking - it would take 20 minutes between each requests - which was frustrating. But the overall experience made up for it. 4 stars!"

Review 23 for Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
"Since we're a fan of Kimpton hotel restaurants, we were hopeful that the relatively new owners had improved Coast and they have. Everything from the cozy booths, friendly service to the inventive yet unfussy food were excellent. Added bonuses: the chef came to chat with us at the end of the meal and live guitar music in the bar at 8pm added to the special occasion feeling of our experience."

"Dining on Valentine’s Day during the 7pm crush was not a problem. We ordered off of the chef’s special menu. The bone in rib eye was perfect. Their wine list had some notable choices in every price range. Reservations are a must if you want a romantic evening with the best tables and service."
