Zodiac at Neiman Marcus – Downtown Dallas
For over 50 years, the Zodiac at Neiman Marcus in the Downtown Dallas location has been the place to dine in Dallas. Housed on the 6th floor of the flagship store, Stanley Marcus first conceived this restaurant as a convenience for out of town customers who were spending a full day shopping in the store.
Today, the Zodiac enjoys the same popularity for shoppers and non-shoppers alike. Enjoy all of the classics from our early days or find some new favorites. We welcome you with chicken broth and our signature popover with strawberry butter. Try a cocktail from our full bar or sip a glass of wine from our extensive winelist. Our lunch selections range from soups and salads to sandwiches. Or choose a beautifully plated entrée. Finish your meal with a housemade pastry and a hot cappuccino.

"Our usual experience at Zodiac is PERFECT across the board, but they missed the mark this time around. When serving the popovers, the waiter totally skipped one guest. When the meals were served they screwed up three times on the same person. Not a good experience. I'm sure this was an "off" day and we'll return again, but expectations next time need to shoot back up to perfection."

"My daughter in law wanted to go to downtown Neiman's for her birthday lunch. None of us had been in ages. The store was lovely , as was the restaurantl. We enjoyed Victor and his pleasant attention.
Sad to say, my food was less than average at any local restaurant. In fact, Corner
bakery is better. I had the chicken melt on ciabiatta bread. The salad was tasteless; I ate a few bites. The fruit was fine...the sandwich was dry and seemed to have no flavor.
I do not know how the other two women felt.Tthe food was not discussed.
the popovers were okay...not as good as I remember. Again, they seemed flavorless. They were pretty, big, and perfectly browned. But my husband's taste better. but perhaps popovers are just like that."

"Lunch at Neiman Marcus is more than just a tradition -- it's totally delightful! A light stop to invigorate yourself for more shopping, or a midday extravaganza, your choice! My husband and I were intrigued with the menu, and I remembered the place with delight from working trips to Dallas 30 years ago, so we stopped by on a whim while traveling through the city. Marvellous! The food was wonderfully fresh, extremely appealing, and beautifully presented. They have daily specials, and one was exquisitely seared scallops over a light and beautifully seasoned Asian salad. It just took my breath away! Service is superb, too. This is an elegant haven well worth making your way to even if you have no interest in shopping!! We'll be back."
