A re-creation of a hidden 18th century Japanese Ninja village. One-of-a-kind, very entertaining dining experience combined with spectacular high-end contemporary Japanese cuisine. Dishes are created by very experienced Japanese chefs and served by our Ninja staff breaking new ground in service and Japanese cuisine.
"A friend from work recommended this restaurant for my visit to New York this May and I am so glad she did. It was phenomenal service and food. I will recommend this to anybody who would like a dining experience as well as the best food I have had in a long time! Thank you so much! Patti Wiebe"

"The decor and wait staff was great but for a kid friendly place the menu was NOT kid friendly. In addition the 3 meals we ordered was only ok. Steak was fatty. The string beans and mushrooms that came with it were cold. The chicken thigh's were bland and indian rice very dry. The tempura dish was adequate. The only dipping sauce we received was soy sauce. Nothing out of the ordinary and barely tasty. A big disappointment with a rather large bill."

"I picked Ninja for my friend's birthday dinner. It was my first time going, as well as the first time for the rest of my party. The service was really good, our waiter was super attentive in filling our water with ninja fast reflexes. I requested that the ninjas really let the guest of honor have it, and they really got him a few good times, as well as the rest of my friends and myself included. The food was both delicious and artful in presentation. But the real fun came when our magic ninja (Maginja) Eddie treated us to an amazing magic show at our table that still has all of my friends talking and scratching our heads in trying to figure the trick out. All and all this was definitely an experience from start to finish."

"The whole experience of going to Ninja is something that you will talk about for days afterwards. The food at Ninja is delicious and the service is excellent. Even though it is always packed the design of the Ninja Village seating area makes it feel like you are at an exclusive, quiet restaurant. If you are looking for an entertaining experience and great food, Ninja should be on your list."

"I took my boyfriend out of a recommendation from a friend. I sorta knew what to expect being this was a "theme" type restaurant. The food was good - lots more food then I thought - from the "boxed" selection. The only thing I may be careful with is the scare at the very beginning of the experience. The moment we stepped off the elevator, we were greeted with a very loud "hiya" which scared me but not my boyfriend. We determined that if someone with a heart condition or a trained martial artist trained to attack was in that position, the outcome might not be a scare. But all in all its a very fun, energetic place. Ambiance was appropriate. The servers were funny, great with the service and stayed in character. Great experience."

"This is my 3rd time at ninja and definitely my last. I'm not sure if there is a new chef or new ownership but the taste and quality of the food was very bad. Just plain awful. Waitstaff is very nice but food was terrible. Never going back. We all had 4 separate dishes: the ninja sushi rolls, the Korean BBQ ribs and the miso salmon were tasteless. I don't remember it being this way or I never would have gone back. Very disappointed."

"Ninja is a fun place to go. My wife and I went as a couple and had a grat time. We saw families and groups of friends both there having a good time enjoying the restaurant. The ambiane and staff do a gret job and the food presentation is very creative. The food tasted good also, both the traditional sushi (that I enjoy more than my wife) and the more wesern cuisine also. Ninja s a fun place - make sure you know the restaurant theme before you go as it isn't a traditional Japanese/Sushi resaurant."

"The ambiance was nice, and everyone was polite and fine to speak to. I had reservation, yet i still had to wait over 45 minutes for my table. This was very upsetting, but they did cover my saki at the bar for making me wait, so I guess it balanced out.
The food wasn't amazing, but you come here for the show not necessarily the food. The steak was fine, duck was gross. The potatos as a side was fantanstic and hard to mess up sticky rice.
Overall, you're coming for the show and not the food. It's definitely worth a try."

"We were surprised at how good the food was considering all the poor reviews we'd read on line. Three out of the four of us are vegetarians and our food was really quite good. The fourth person, however, ordered the chicken terriaki and it was pretty dry. The thing that was very disappointing to us was that the advertised elevator ride and walk you go on, supposedly complete with Ninja warriors coming out and surprising you, was beyond lame. Basically,we just walked through a pitch black hallway for 3 minutes with absolutely no decorations or Ninjas or anything! Our waiter and the magician who came over were really fun, though. They saved the day with their funny attics and food presentation.Ambiance is claustrophobic..its'in a basement!"

"This is a super fun restaurant that is unlike any other restaurant I have been too. The mix of theater and food proved to be a great combination. The food was better than I expected and we got a lot more food than we thought we would. The prices are pretty moderate especially for NY. The drinks were very tasty and they were not overpriced. The service was good and the waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is a great choice if you want to have a fun time in an exciting atmosphere."

"Let me begin with the bottom line: If you're going with kids that like sushi, and are not bothered by overpriced and sub-par food, Ninja is great. The food was fair, at best, and the tab was very pricey. My wife and I concluded we would have spent less at Nobu or Megu with obviously superior cuisine, but no Ninjas. Our five-year-old had a blast, he loved the Ninja village (very well constructed) and obviously the Ninja servers jumping out and yelling. The cocktails were poor, but the servers were responsive and well trained. The magic tricks were well executed. Lots of smokey dishes (extensive use of dry ice); and a few flaming dishes. To be clear, none of the clever presentation made up for atrocious food. Caveat emptor."

"Servers were friendly and animated. Great customer service from the manager and the whole staff, despite that an incident happened. A drink was accidentally spilled over my friend's expensive purse. Everyone was helpful and apologetic. Managers came over and personally provided coverage and was adament in getting the bag cleaned. Food was good. Well prepared and the presentation was fun and entertaining. Loved the decor of the restaurant and the energy."

"I went for my birthday and it was fantastic. The wait staff is super fun and entertaining and I thought the food was fantastic. The ninja art dishes really made the experience. They really go out of their way to make birthdays special at NINJA, which I really appreciated. It was so much more than just singing happy birthday! If you're looking for a quiet dinner spot, then this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're willing to play along and engage with the ninjas, it's well worth the money. It is expensive, but you pay for the experience instead of the food. I also really enjoyed the magic show at the end of the meal. All of the children at the restaurant seemed to be having the time of their lives. It was really fantastic."

"Going to this restaurant was less about filling our bellies and more about having a group outing at an entertaining venue! The decor, the ambiance, the presentation and the service all summed up to a great experience. And of course, the food was up to par with everything else. We ordered the steak-in-the-box, which was very juicy and tender. It came with three different kinds of sauces, and a few side dishes; definitely not your average steak! The desserts were tasty as well, and also flawless in their presentation. All in all, it was a great place to have a group outing. The only drawback was that our table was next to the party room, where the group of people got rowdy and loud. We couldn't even hear ourselves talk!"

"We brought my sister to Ninja for her birthday. She has Celiac and so must eat a gluten-free diet. The atmosphere was cool, but beyond that we had a horrible experience because Ninja could guarantee nearly nothing was gluten-free. No sushi (not even sashimi), not steak, not fish, not even their edamame was recommended for a gluten-free diet. They did offer to grill her a piece of plain chicken, but for $50+ per person we decided to leave. Very poor to not be able to accommodate."

"My fish had a fresh odor as if the fish was old or needed to be clean properly ... And was not seasoned well... My date loved the steak and said it was very flavorful.... I loved the sake can remember the name of it but it had a citrus flavor... We liked it and would dine again I would just stay away from the miso fish ..."

"Ninja New York was not what I expected. The advertisement made it sound like it was exciting experience but it was not. Food was ok, ambiance was ok and service little better. For the price we paid for the food it is not a place I would go back."

"this is a great place if your looking to spend a random night out with someone and have nothing else to do, but have a bit of extra cash to spend. The place is not the cheapest you'll ever be to but its more about the entertainment then anything else. If you go there expecting good entertainment, and decent food you'll enjoy the evening."

"I had an overall acceptable experience. I was disappointed because we were sat in the rock room as opposed to the village rooms, so I felt it took away from the experience was not what we expected. I kept hearing people screaming from the village rooms because the ninja's would pop into the room which made it exciting and unexpected fun. I even asked if I had to pay more or make reservation more in advance. The table next to us gad sat first so we were able to see everything before we experienced it like the ceasar salad and the magician, so it took away from the mystery and excitement. The host was excellent and really funny. The food was excellent though. Great food!"

"My experience at Ninja was amazing. I had an outstanding time and my girlfriend was able to enjoy a night that she won't ever forget. I told my family and friends out this place and hinted that it is more of a date-night place than a family place to go. I would most likely love to come back to Ninja and this time bring a few friends to share the experience."
