"Our first experience, and first impression was of the overwhelming noise level in the dining room...we almost left immediately, but decided to stay on......and, the food was outstanding, the service quite good and in time the din moderated somewhat. The food was the star, and it will merit a second visit at some point."

"Went with my wife and son for Mother's Day. Atmosphere enhanced by excellant interior design. Service was friendly, accomodating and competent. ALL the food was exceptional... unusual for a "holiday" fixed menu which, by the way, had many choices at each price level. We all had the rockfish which was done perfectly. The appatizer samplers were also very good as was the desert. We definitely will return to this restaurant."

"We were a bit disappointed, based on haveing been to their flagship restaurant Mykonos in Rockville. The restaurant is attractive, but we were put in a small room that got very noisy as time went on and more tables filled. They have only Greek wines, so the best chardonnay was still very light-bodied--not to our taste. The eggplant dip was fabulous, but some of the sampler platter were just fair. The lamb was just OK and the spanikopita had very little filling and the phyllo dough seemed dry and tasteless. The salad was way overdressed."

"I had lunch here with a group of friends on a weekday. We chose to share a bunch of appetizers, chosen by my Greek friend, and everything from the dips with pita, to the swordfish skewers, lamb and shrimp was absolutely delicious. The seasonings, the touch of olive oil, and the freshness of the ingredients were all served promptly and professionally by our very attentive waiter and wait staff. The decor is bright and light, reminiscent of Santorini, and makes you forget you are in an office building in the middle of Tysons Corner. This was my third visit here, and I will return again, soon!"

"Really a cool place w/interesting menu and nice atmosphere. Service not that great (went on a Thursday night, waiter extremely busy and never asked if we wanted another glass of wine.) VERY loud--difficult to hear people at your table. Looks like there is a somewhat separate room that might be good for private parties but it is open to main room so would also be noisy.Tile floors look nice but contribute to noise level. Must make reservations for weekend far in advance."

"The food and wine here are phenomal. Presentation is divine as are the atmosphere - you will feel as though you are seated oceanside one of the Cyclades themselves. Servers are very knowledgeable of the menu, extremely polite and very good at keeping pace. Lively environment yet extremely relaxing and very well orchestrated.

"Setting is sleek and stylish with good design layout. Too many hard surfaces that don't absorb sound; so very noisy & difficult to hear our group. Food was fabulous - Barley soup had good beefy flavor. Sampler plate had four entrée items and were great tasting. Rice pudding needed more vanilla, otherwise good. Service was disappointing. Wait staff appeared novice or uncaring. Forgot to take our drink order. Reached across guests to serve other guests at table. Was too quick to clear plates before finished eating. Did not remove glasses when refilling with water - instead reached across plate and filled glass on the table. When clearing dishes, piled plates on top of each other at table in front of guest. Expected better."

"Food as wonderful and consistent as our first visit (this was our third) sea bass on rice/spinach simply stunning, octopus grilled to outside char, inner perfect tenderness. Branzino whole fish they way you'd expect if it were just sauteed off the dock. Bean salad unique, impressive, green delight. Wait staff attentive, waiter Evan always a smile and a great opinion on food, wine or dessert. Doesn't get much better! Thanks, kudos (again)"

"I have food sensitivities and the restaurant went the extra mile to make sure that the food I ate was appropriate. It was also very tasty! While not on my diet I ate a bite of the Galaitobourikos that my spouse ordered. It was an awesome dessert! Very light with subtle flavors that appeared as I savored it. "We were a party of 6 who ate here on a weekend evening. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The Service was polite and friendly. The food was good (but not amazing).
My only criticism is that the tables are placed too close to one another. The waiters could not move between them. My back was almost touching the table behind me and that table was having such a good time that I was not able to converse with my own dinner partners as all I could hear was the conversation and frequent loud laughter of the table behind me. I was happy (for them) that they were having such a good time, but if there had been more space between the tables their good time would not have been a problem for us."

"This is our new favorite restaurant. We're so happy it's here because now we don't have to travel to Milos in NY for a great fish dish. Every dish is so fresh, so flavorful and SO delish! It's a bit noisy and tables are somewhat tightly packed but the food is so good you may not notice. Some of the servers can be a bit abrupt and a bit hurried but I think that's because they are always so busy."

"wonderful experience. only hitch was that the computer ran up a glass of wine as a bottle of wine, so if we hadn't scrutinized the check, we would have overpaid by $30! Our waiter was horrified by the mistake and fixed it as best he could (it seemed to be a glitch in the system). In the end, we paid the correct amount."

"Amazing food and service, as always. We love bringing foodie friends here, it's always a great surprise that there can be such a wonderful restaurant, with such delicious and authentic cuisine, in a business center building in Tysons Corner. It is off the beaten path, but well worth the trip! And our waiter was enormously helpful, not only with food discussions but also with the Greek-oriented wine list. Lots of gems there, just not familiar to most of us."

"This was our second visit to Nostos, and it was just as exceptional as the first time. The service is impeccable, the food scrumptious and the wine list interesting. We asked our waiter to recommend a Greek wine, and it was perfect (and not expensive)! We ate the lamb shank and the sea bass, and both were fantastic! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant...a real find!"

"Our server was very helpful with our wine selection. All dishes were delicious and served while hot, Servuce was attentive throughout our meal. Dinner for two with a shared salad, two appetizers and one main dish to share plays wine wad under 100 dollars with tip.
Restaurant is noisy and rooms are small so do not expect a quiet conversation."

"Fourth time at Nostos but my first in the dining room. It is crowded much like restaurants in Greece and Italy. Our waiter was pleasant and knowledgable if a bit overworked - let's call the service "relaxed". The real reason to come here is the food and the wine - it's amazing. The small plates allow you to sample many dishes and every one is prepared with care. Dont miss the grilled Octopus or the Saganaki and save room for desert. If you like tapas you have to try Nostos."

"Nostos is a hidden gem in Tyson's Corner! For those of us who have worked here for quite some time, we have become spoiled by all of the big-name chains. Unfortunately, they get old fast and all start to taste the same. Nostos is easy to find, the parking lot is easy to get in and out of, and while it fills up fast, it doesn't feel crowded. The light, modern décor is pleasant and the linen tablecloths offer a more formal experience, perfect for client lunches. The food is all fresh, light, DIFFERENT (traditional Greek) and delicious. A nice change from the typical Cheesecake Factory/Coastal Flats/Seasons 52/Wildfire scene. Did I mention that the service is FANTASTIC!"

"The only downside to a great meal was that the next table was so loud I couldn't hear my dining partner's conversation most of the time. I understand that the restaurant personnel cannot control the noise level but they could have asked them to lower the volume a litte. A few other patrons asked to be moved!!"

"It is a consistently wonderful experience at Nostos, and that's what keeps me going back. Had one dish that was a bit of a misfire, but the tzatziki alone more than makes up for it. Get the lightly fried zucchini slices. Even a vegetable hater like me can't resist. I appreciate the helpfulness of the servers in pointing out the best menu items."
