"Good ambience. Great service. We went for Lobsterfest, so we went for the prix fixe menus. Lobster pappardelle was rich and delicious. Dessert needs improvement though - tastes like the ones you'd get from a grocery bakery department, palatable but nothing special."

"Wildfire never fails to impress and with the fabulous waiters that work there, I will go again and again.
Steak/lobster combo was amazing, calamari was delicious as always and crème brulee was gorgeous.

"Wildfire's Lobsterfest is a key attractor to this restaurant. Food was good and worth the money. My only issue this time was that the lobster was cold and a bit too rubbery. Also, the cream sauce in the lobster ravioli was bland. Everything else was great from the sides to apps to the desserts. The shrimp martini was amazing. The cocktail sauce they had with it was the best I had ever had.
I did feel however that they were seating everyone in one section so I felt crammed and the servers had no space to pass each other as well. Did not like that. And my table had a faulty leg so it was off balance."

"This was our second visit to Wilfire.
I ordered Crab Cakes and Artic Char and my wife ordered the ribs and Escargot.
The Crab Cakes were very tasty but looked like a breaded chicken patty (hockey puck).
They were very greasy tasting.
My Artic Char was excellent and the vegetables and fries were good.
My wife's Escargot was excellent and her ribs were less than mediocre.
The advertising says that they have been awarde the best ribs in North Toronto.
I enjoy fall off the bone ribs and the meat on these ribs was fatty and you had to fight to pull the meat off the ribs.
Not what I enjoy although some may enjoy the battle of fighting and chewing for ten minutes to get through the grizzle.
They definitely need to improve their ribs."

"It was my boyfriend's birthday dinner on Mar 20th. First of all, I have to say the waiter was outstanding (I think it was the Manager). Excellent Filet Mignon, done absolutely perfectly! Small minus, dessert was not up to normal standard...the red velvet cake was not as fresh as I have had many other times, and chocolate desert was not great. Nonetheless, the salad and shrimp apps were delicious! When I have wine, I drink alot of water...they were on top of it! Warm bread, the works! Excellent service!"

"The staff was very friendly. The service was good. We enjoyed the horderves, the shrimp cocktail was great. We ordered the steak and were really disappointed with the main course. The steak was tough and under seasoned also the grilled vegetables were hard and also lacking flavour. We thought for a steakhouse that the steak would have been much better,we regretted not trying another entree,but for now we do not intend on going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone else."

"Wildfire has always been one of my favorite spots for uptown dining, the food and service is always outstanding. Unfortunately on this particular occasion the service was unexpectedly poor. It was a colleagues birthday lunch we were only a party of 3, our reservation was for 12:00 when we arrived there was only one other table and ours in the restaurant, and the service was unacceptably slow. The waiter was very attentive when we arrived it took him quite some time to bring us anything when he left the table and it took just under one hour for us to receive our meals from the time we ordered, one of my colleagues joked that maybe our waiter was also the chef because he would disappear for such a long period of time."

"The food was incredibly substandard and definately not worth the prix-fixe offered for Valentine's Day. The location of our table ("upstairs") looked tired and lacked appeal altogether. More seriously, though, the machine used to approved payments by card is pre-set to calculate the gratuity on the after tax amount of the bill. That is outrageous and absolutely misleading to customers."

"The hostess sat us at a tiny dark table in a high traffic area across from a family with small children running around. I went back and asked to be moved. They sat us at a cold dark tiny table but this time is was beside the server station and the front door. I would like to point out that we were dressed nicely in business/out for dinner attire. It was only after we ordered our wine, I asked the server and she moved us to a nice table where I saw tables of two people over the place including booths and 4-tops. We both really enjoyed our food and the service was good. We ended up spending over 350$ Dress rich and order expensive wine for a good table!"

"Everything about the restaurant was great (my boyfriend especially loved the bread and hummus). The ambience of the place was broken when a noisy group of diners showed up, but that's not something the restaurant can control. Will definitely be coming back"

"I went here for Winterlicious with a group of 7 people. We were given the large private table near the front of the restaurant, which was enclosed with luxurious draping and had a great view to the street. The service was very good. The server was attentive and very friendly, but not in an intruding or creepy way as I find other servers to sometimes be. The food was worth every penny! I would recommend it to other people if you're looking for a good place for a group dinner. However the ambience is such that even a couple will have a romantic evening. I will definitely be back!"

"The food was okay. I went there for winterlicious and the place was fairly expensive ($45-3 course dinner) but the taste and quality of food is nothing but ordinary. The ambiance is good, good amount of light and it's fairly quiet, good for a romantic date. I wouldn't go back here again."

"Our group of eight was put in a private dining space at front of restaurant -really nice ! Service was terrific....all meals were hot and served together by very friendly staff. Everyone was pleased with their appetizers and meals....all from Winterlicious menu ! Good choices . Martinis and wines were good. Very nice evening out....everyone wants to retur."

"Fantastic winterlicious experience. Escargot and calamari were great. The beef sandwich was a bit on the overcooked side (asked for medium rare, texture seemed to be closer to med/well done). Desserts were hit or miss....brownie cheesecake was good, red velvet wasn't that fluffy.
Very nice atmosphere.
Would go again, and would recommend."

"Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was fabulous. Our waiter (Peter) was super attentive and extremely polite. My last visit was about 10 years ago but it always left an impression in my mind and with Winterlicous being one of their offerings...it was decided I was going to go back and revisit. "The service was excellent. The hostess, server and all of staff at the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. The food, however, was sorely lacking flavour. The grilled calamari was tasteless and rubbery (the tomato salsa it was drenched in, however, was quite tasty). The grilled mahi mahi was criminally BLAND, and despite the infusion of wasabi, so were the mashed potatoes on the side. The caramel brownie cheesecake was pretty good, but not enough to save the rest of the meal. The best part of lunch was the bread basket! Warm, crusty ciabatta loaves that were soft and airy on the inside, served with delicious garlic infused olive oil/balsamic vinegar for dipping. Better than what I've tasted in Italy!"

"Everything would have been great had we not had to wait almost 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our reservation was for 7:00pm and we were there well on time and got seated at 7:00. Then noone came to even say Hi until my daughter went to the hostess to complain almost 20 minutes after we were seated. This is inexcusable when you are about to spend $350+ on dinner. Especially considering that they phoned our house in the afternoon reminding us that we had to be done by 8:30pm as another seating was scheduled!!!
The booths are not comfortable at all. We are fairly skinny people and each had about 3 inches of clearance between our bodies and the table top. I can't imagine how anyone who might be slightly overweight can even fit."
