"This restaurant owned and managed by the former sommelier when former restaurant, Left Bank was quality, is a notable destination for quality food and a spectacular wine list. Food is impeccable and delightfully served. The view of the sound makes for a beautiful sunset dining experience. We so enjoyed our meal that we made a return reservation for the following evening. The signature corn& crab soup is outstanding and the daily line caught fish - a grouper was pristine, served one evening on a perfectly cooked couscous, and the following evening on a salsa. We will definitely return to Aqua each time we come to the Outer Banks, and recommend it to our many friends who come."

"We’ve been around Duck for almost 20 years. We especially appreciate $5 Fridays. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend. Sit at the bar, watch the sun set, have a fabulous hamburger or superb fish tacos!

"Overall, the food and service was very good. I had the pork chop and spaetzle. Everything was prepared very well, but the spaetzle portion was maybe three bites. For the price (on the high side), the portion was not adequate. I'm more than happy to pay for excellent food, but it was a real issue. Similar experience with my girlfriend's order of duck and gnocchi. Small portion. Restaurant has an excellent view of the water at sunset and was quiet since it was still in the off season for the Outer Banks."

"Perfect sunset, great service and good food. Very small menu, more appetizers than main courses, but enough to choose from. Chef did nice work with the spices and flavors. The chicken paillard with its flavorful sauce would have been better served with a rice or pasta instead of mashed potatoes. The braised duck and homemade gnocchi was delicious as well. The wine selection doesn't need to break your budget either. Good meal, good wine, great view and they take reservations!"

"Returned after Winter to find Aqua still up to our high standards. I had the caesar salad (good, not spectacuar, but this is fine) and rock fish special - thich piece about an inch wide. Wife had acorn squash soup, banging shrimp, and the fish taco. We have been going to Aqua, mostly in the off season, since they opened. Quality never fails. Will probably go back for brunch on Sunday."

"We really enjoyed our dinner at Aqua. we ordered the salmon special and the pasta special. Both were excellent. We enjoyed the live music also. The view is beautiful and an excellent location to see the sun set. We will add this restaurant as one of our favorites to go to in the Outerbanks."

"The nicest thing about the restaurant was the company and the sunset view. The food was good but it would have been nice to have had more seafood offerings given the location of the restaurant on the Sound and with a name like Aqua."

"We went during the "off season," so it was very quiet. However the food was exceptional. While we couldn't actually see the view of the sound because of the time of day that we went to the restaurant, I'm sure it is beautiful. We had a funnel cake, almond ice cream and coconut for dessert. It was yummy! Also the duck gnocchi and chicken were very very good."
