"O'Briens seems to be getting a bad rap from many reviewers and I am not sure what all the complaints are about! This is not a 4 star restaurant! It is a neighborhood pub that has very good food and service. Seeing that it was Friday and lent, we split the hummis appetizer. It was really tasty. For dinner I had the crab cake appetizer and my husband had the salmon. Everything was delicious. Again, not 4 star delicious but really worth the visit. Ignore the bad reviews and give this place a chance!"

"Picked O'Brien's because it was close to a theatre. Nice ambience. We were early and the place was quiet and cozy. Sat next to the windows and had a nice view of Wells Street. I enjoyed the sweet and sour cabbage soup but it was skimpy on the meat. My wife had an open faced meatloaf sandwich which was not good at all. It was heavy on barbecue sauce but otherwise blah. Cole slaw was fairly good. I had lemon chicken, one of my favorite dishes. This was easily the worst lemon chicken I've ever eaten. The chicken was very plain but would have been ok with a good sauce, but the sauce was very corn-starchy, had little lemon flavor and was over-powered by too many capers. Sweet potato fries were good though."

"The food was good but not extraordinary. The service was great and timely, and the accommodations clean. It's a nice neighborhood establishment but since I don't live in this part of town, I probably will not be back."

"My wife and I enjoined our meal at O'Brien's. The menu is not large but fairly represented different meat and fish options. We sat overlooking the bar-party area below with a great view of Wells Street. The location was a little noisy, but not obtrusive. Quality and portions were generous and I left feeling full. Free parking is a great extra. Service was quite good, but we had to wait quite a while for our check after we had finished. Not a big deal but it did affect my service rating. Do not trust the on line menu prices. They are old and not correct."
