Banana Leaf Modern Thai provides a treat for all the senses! Each dish is homemade and presented as a work of art. Menu favorites include Curry dishes, Spring Rolls, and of course the wildly popular Pad Thai. For those wanting to try new things, our Chef creations include Filet Mignon Panang and Crispy Diva Sea Bass. We also offer brown rice and vegetarian inspired dishes. Much of the produce is organic and we support locally grown. Don"t be surprised to see the Chef open the kitchen door to snip herbs from the outdoor patio! The decor completes the dining experience with each room on both floors uniquely decorated and upbeat global music plays in the background. Enjoy tapas and wine in the lounge or dine outdoors in nice weather on our two outdoors patios. Both are beautifully landscaped and include waterfalls. Open 7 days for lunch and dinner. Large parties are welcome and reservations are recommended. We look forward to serving you!
"Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Spring rolls were great, fried rice served inside a pineapple was awesome....unique drinks too. Definitely will be back."

"While we enjoyed the food, the service was a little questionable. It is a small restaurant, and we were there on mother's day, but I doubt that I would ever go there with large party again. it took approximately 25 minutes between serving the first diner and the last diner at our table. It does not make for an enjoyable experience when people are uncomfortable waiting for the rest of the party to be served. And they made no apology for the delay in the guest of honors food delay, and offered no compensation. Poor form. The food was tasty, but I won't make the trip there for that kind of service."

"Do yourself a favor and enjoy the best Thai I have found in the Cincinnati area. My favorite is the Pad Thai Goon with fresh shrimp that is flown in daily. The dinning quarters are tight and be prepared to have a discussion with you neighbors. Food and service is excellent!"

"The good news: the food was for the most part excellent in taste and presentation. Some was only warm at best. The bad news: service was horrendous! Our party of 10 received its wine order either one or at best 2 glasses at a time over 30+ minutes. Our entrees were finally served 1 hour and 45 minutes after our reservation time of 7:00 PM just as several guests were suggesting to leave. The entrees were served one at a time with the first person served having finished her meal by the time the last person received their dish! Thank God normal etiquette was not followed and we had waited for all to receive their food. Then we had a 20% gratuity added to the tab to rub salt in the wounds."

"We went to Banana Leaf for an Easter celebration. We requested an upstairs table which was conducive to having a conversation. Our request was quickly fulfilled and we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the service superb."

"Great food, service, and atmosphere. A bit more expensive than expected which deters me from being a "regular". Easily got a table on a Saturday night which is a little worrisome for Banana Leaf's future."

"This was our first time there and we were really impressed. The food was delicious and the presentation of each dish was lovely. The servers were all very knowledgeable about each of the dishes and attentive throughout the evening. The small dining rooms create and atmosphere condusive to talking with other diners. All of the people in our room had been there before and were helpful in recommending their favorite dishes. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to several friends."

"The food was excellent and we enjoyed talking with the chef and getting his recommendations. He really wants his guests to enjoy the food and works diligently at helping them understand the menu and the various preparations. Our server was a little hovering. In fact, on two occasions when we were talking with the chef at our table, she came up interrupted to see how everything was. This was what the chef was doing and I felt she was being very disrespectful to the chef and also redundant."

"Everything was absolutely wonderful from the time we stepped inside the Banana Leaf Modern Thai. My daughter and I went there for an early dinner for my birthday. We could not have had better service and the food was the best Thai we had ever had. A special thanks for Pam giving us a tour of the private rooms for parties an meetings upstairs and we really enjoyed talking with him. I would recommend you go to the Banana Leaf Modern Thai. You will not be disappointed!"

"Did a double date with some friends. Excellent food, the service was ok (our waitress kept disappearing at odd times), and we met the chef. He is an excellent chef and very amiable. Will definitely go back!!"

"Celebrated Valentines Day with my fiancé at Banana Leaf. The food was excellent and ambiance was ok. We were in a room upstairs with 4 tables and a couple was seated at each. Unfortunately, one couple was loud. Make sure when ordering spicy dishes that you stay with mild seasoning. We ordered a curry chicken with moderate spiciness and it was too hot."

"Recently, I had the opportunity to enjoy the Banana Leaf. I think it is safe to say that in my opinion it is the best Pad Thai in Cincinnati. WONDERFUL!"

"We had been wanting to try Banana Leaf for a while and finally got a date night last week. The place is kitzchy cool without trying too hard. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive. We had spring rolls, the Pad Prik Khing (beef), Pad Thai (chicken) and a coconut creme brulee. The service was nicely paced and the presentation was good. The problem was: the food just was just average. The chicken was dry and tough. The Prik Khing was too heavy with ginger. The spring rolls were greasy. The creme brulee miniscule and $9. After three pricey Thai beers each, the total tab was $80. Not enough value for so-so food."
