"Went specifically for the Gospel Brunch Sundays at 1 p.m. What a great time we had. Food was very good. Service excellent. And the atmosphere...we came out with our hearts lifted, our ears filled with joyous music, and our spirits energized. Steve Haas circulated among the guests the whole time we were there. Highly recommended for people who like each other. Leave the i-Pad at home."

"Great food, very nice staff, awesome manager, and all at a moderate price for a upscale place. The type of place where they take good care of you, the food is amazing (brussel sprouts that came with filet and ordered as side was the biggest hit at the table), drinks are good, and when the check comes, it's not cheap, but so worth it. A great value. We were a party of 8. Half adults who each had a couple of cocktails and everyone had an app with dinner, was $480 with the 20% included tip. A nice surprise to end a wonderful evening."

"We arrived at 5:30 for a pre show dinner. Our show was at 7:30 so it gave us ample time to look over menu since this was our first time. Most of us ate from the special pre show menu, great deal . For $35 you get an appetizer, entree and a dessert. The onion soup was fantastic , very different. The sweet potatoes served with the pork chop were absolutely delicious. The pork chop though could have been a bit more tender but the flavors were spot on. Salmon and Mahi Mahi were light, fresh and full of flavor and the chorizo meatloaf was amazing . We had the carrot cake, chocolate crunch cake and the bread pudding all were wonderful. I would definitely recommend. Service was a little slow, I attribute that to the large pre show crowd"

"I recently had my sister in town visiting and had plans for the Adriene Arsht theater at 8pm. Made reservations thru Open Table at City Hall for 6:30pm...we arrived at 6:15. The host told us that we would be seated promptly at 6:30pm. We needed to leave by 7:30pm to get to the theater, park and find our seats before 8pm. The host called us for our reservation at 7:10pm!! I was furious....after all I was treating my sister for dinner and had the choice of ANY Miami restaurant and I chose City Hall (been once before and loved their oysters). We needed a quick bite and ordered a pizza from the bartender! Disappointing!! Especially since my sister's last dinner in Miami was a pizza!!!"

"Love this place! Great pub feel. Big screen TVs. We go before - or after - an event at the Arsht Center and it always hits the spot! Louis, a manager is wonderful and stands by his product. The food isn't fancy but it's always reliable and tastes great. Try the salmon, or the turkey burgers or the salad with the grilled shrimp - which is a huge entree size. The wait staff is friendly and they try really hard to please.
This will always be our go-to restaurant when we are in the neighborhood!"

"Food was OK. We were staying in the area, and needed a place for dinner. Looked up the menu online, and were excited for what seemed like unique and delicious items. Once we got there, we found out the menu changed months ago. They never updated the website. Had I seen the "real" menu online, we probably would have gone elsewhere. The food we did have was good, but I wasnt able to order what I wanted. So we were disappointed."

"I had attempted to change my reservation time online about 30 minutes prior to the originally scheduled reservation. Unfortunately, when I got to the restaurant, they hadn't received the change. The host was very apologetic, but the restaurant was overflowing - more people than I had ever seen crammed in there for pre-theater dinner. Fortunately, we found a spot at the bar and ordered there. A single, overworked bartender never stopped smiling and delivered outstanding service. What could have been a disaster turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Even the food tasted better than usual thanks to the wonderful service delivered by this single bartender."

"Well the jury wouldn't be out long if it had to decide the fate of City Hall. Excellent service, excellent food and presentation and a lively buzz running through the restaurant. We were in town for a business event and had 5 in our party. We shared the tuna tartar and it was great. Two of our guests got the scallops and they were cooked perfectly. I had the rib eye steak with a truffle butter, it was also amazing. Hope I haven't over hyped the place so you can enjoy it."

"The first time I ate at City Hall everything was perfect: the short rib potato skins, their signature Timpano pasta dish, the table, the waiter, everything. So, I was very excited to be going back. My parents and I drove two hours in traffic to eat at there on a Friday night, but were seated in arguably the restaurant's worst table, off in a corner in the back room away from the cool atmosphere. We inquired about the possibiltiy of being moved, and the maitre d found something for us. Then, upon looking at the menu, we found that all 3 of our favorite dishes had been removed. All our waiter could say was that he had no idea, as he "had just transfered from Applebee's." The food was still quite good, but I was very disappointed this time."
