Like a friendly neighborhood trattoria you might find in Naples or Venice, MoMo’s serves fare passed down through generations. The atmosphere is friendly and intimate, with exposed brick walls and sunny patio. The patio invites people watching along Knox Avenue at the uptown location. MoMo’s continues to set the standard for Italian dining in Dallas.
Directions: Best secret restaurant in Quadrangle . We are located at Lacelede & Routh next to Theatre 3
"So, the food was fine, but not great. Our server had no clue what was on the menu, or how it tasted. We asked her a couple questions, and she would read the menu and tell us what it said, sometimes confusing herself. The other servers in the restaurant kept walking to our table, looking at us, and turning around and walking back, as if they were trying to keep an eye on us, but didn't know what to do. Anyway, it seems like they need to train their employees better."

"I've frequented this restaurant for almost 20 years and it never disappoints. Just wish i'd known that holidays such as Mother's Day you have to pay dinner prices at lunch time."

"As usual, we enjoyed our dining experience. Good looking specials. My husband wasnt too crazy about his rissotto dish, but I really liked the chicken with sherry sauce. The peas were outstanding! Always great bread with olive oil pre-dinner and a nice wine list. We'll be back soon."

"This is our first time to eat at this location. (We ate at the Beltline locale 10 years ago!) We enjoyed everything we had - - from pasta to salads, but it seemed like it took forever to get waited on. Throughout the meal we had to wait and wait while trying to hail someone...anyone...to bring us more water, tea, a pepper mill, etc. It was like the waiters just disappeared!"

"Momo's isn't romantic as it is described on the website. I requested a window sit, which it was given, but it was in an awkward part of the restaurant. The staff seems very timid. The overall first time experience want pleasant to me. My date and I actually left before we ordered anything....and went to another restaurant."

"I''ve been dinning at Momo's pasta for years, the food is authentic when you add the great service they always offer it makes for a wonderful dinning experience. I would also recommend the 99 cents mimosas they have for brunch."

"Excellent experience overall. Hidden within the quadrangle, it had music and the perfect patio for the perfect date. The staff was always there when needed."

"Long time fans of the OLD Momo's restaurant. Since they moved, service is very poor, food is mediocre. On both visits, our servers were inattentive and unfamiliar with the menu. On our last visit, the gal tossed us the "specials" menu and walked off when we asked if there were any specials that night. Never explained them to us. When asked about wine, she was clueless. At least she knew how to open the bottle, however her service was atrocious. She fast poured the wine and it splashed on out onto the table, filling to the rim! We decided we would pour our own wine after she did this a second time. With our mussels appetizer, she dropped it on the table without utensils or extra plates.btw- 1/2 of the mussels were closed.Won't go back"

"The food was bland. My dish was suppose to be spicy but it tasted more like simple tomato sauce. We order a glass of wine that we are familiar with; however we are certain that we were served something different. Also the servers were overly attentive and took away our appetizer before we were finished.By far the worst meal I've had since I moved to Dallas."

"Despite a half empty restaurant, my wife and I were sat crammed next to another couple at adjacent two-tops. Waitstaff was barely around and when they did come by seemed to rush us through the meal. Food was average, nothing like I had remembered. In the end, we opted for no dessert or coffee and found something sweet at another establishment. Won't be back; some memories are best left in the past."

"Valentine's day and our first time there. Limited menu and they raised their prices for Valentines day. Food was prepared incorrectly, and it was cold. Small portion. Dessert was brought while my wife was still eating dinner and my entree plates were still sitting in front of me. Very dissappointing Valentines's day dinner. There are many great italian restaurants in Dallas, no reason to go back there."

"We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. The pasta made with cocoa (didn't taste chocolately, just gave it a good texture) with cream sauce, pancetta and peas was outstanding. Bread was warm and dipped in an olive oil/garlic concoction - very good! They had a full bar and made nicely strong and tasty drinks. Service was great; the place was bustling, but servers were efficient. We will definitely go back here!"

"We dinned there on a Friday night and the restaurant was not very busy. The first issue was the server. He was very aggressive about taking our order quickly. As I stated above the restaurant was not packed so why the rush? We were out to celebrate my birthday so time was not an issue. The food arrived quickly and it was as we ordered. The food was hot and prepared fresh. The second and last issue was our server was promoting the local theatre by offering a 25% discount if we were going to see a show. Then he continued to say that even if we weren't seeing a show next store, act as if we were to get the 25% discount. I don't know if this was his idea or the Management's idea to increase business, but it seemed a little desperate."
