"Surprised my wife on her 50th birthday with a trip to San Francisco (We're from Chicago). Picked Pier 39 Seafood market based on internet reviews and location. We weren't let down - the service was quick and very friendly, the food was delicious and the views were wondeful. I got a whole bunch of brownie points for this trip. After dinner we went to view the sea lions, which were right outside the restaurant - what a special night for my wife.Thanks Pier 39!"

"Really enjoyed the meal! Steamed clams and clam chowder were amazing. Had the Ono special which was great. My dining mate also enjyed the halibut (which looked really good but he wouldn't give me a bite!)"

"We love coming to this restaurant everytime we visit San Francisco! This was our 3rd visit. The clam chowder is very yummy! We always have a table with a great view of the water and Golden Gate Bridge. The staff is very friendly and accomodating."

"This is my third visit in one year. I had 8 people total from Fresno and we had a great meal. I tried your stuffed trout and it unfortunately was a "B". The stuffing was just too much bread and the trout was the the thinnest one I have ever eaten. I felt like all I got was bread stuffing. It may be that is what happens with a thin fish but I would have liked it better without the stuffing. My choice though. Usually I get the salmon burger which I adore. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Liana was her name, I think. I used open table and that worked great."

"While our experience at Pier Market was good overall, we did have a few problems. Our meals were brought out at different times. The last meal to arrive was supposed to have been the BBQ salmon, but ended up being mahi-mahi. The waitress assured us he had ordered the mahi and I didn't really listen to my husband's whole order, but knew that we had intended to order 3 different salmon dishes and 2 shrimp. All the food was very good. My son's drink never arrived and we were not charged for it. The waitresses were very busy, so we weren't able to bring her attention to it. It was very loud and the sun was very glaring at our dinner seating. They did have shades, but were not pulled down far enough."

"Excellent clam chowder, really good caesar salad. Salmon sandwich at lunch really good. The special of the day was really good - petrale sole stuffed with crab and shrimp. The spinach served with it was like none I've ever tasted and it was excellent. Mashed potatoes (with mine) and french fried (with the sandwich) weren't anything special, but all else was really good."
