"Henrietta's Table prides itself on fresh, local food and the meals I've had there have always been excellent. Very good service as well. it's a good spot to go for a meal that is someone above your normal price, simple but good, fresh, food, and very conducive for conversation among friends. A good combination."

"the description of the breads in the bread basket was intriguing....however, none of the breads lived up to the mouth watering descriptions.
I had the wedge salad with blue cheese....the dressing barely tasted of blue cheese which was very disappointing since I was interested in tasting the local blue cheese that was noted on the menu.
on the other hand, I LOVED the crab cakes I ordered as my entree...especially, the home-made tartar sauce with large chunks of pickle.
the accompanying salad however was overdressed.

"When I arrived at the restaurant, it took me a few minutes to figure out where the maitre d' was -- turned out the desk was at the back of the bar area, blocked by a large party in the bar. Once seated, though, our server was attentive and helpful. And then the food arrived. I had the duck breast and confit thigh -- scented with maple and smoke, it was delectable. The green beans I got as a side were crunchy-tender, just the way I like them. The Boston Cream Pie was smooth and thick, but not too sweet. I'm a fan of milk, not dark, chocolate, so the chocolate top on the pie was just up my alley."

"We have loved Henrietta's Table since it opened.
Charles Hotel is lovely and this is the 'other' restaurant.
Rialto is one of the best and we eat there on special occassions but Henrietta's is our destination when we need to be in Cambridge and want food that is a little more low key and delicious and farm fresh from the high end duck, veal, beef, pork, chicken to the famous sides that are seasonal so always fresh - I had braised lamb shank (from a local farm) with sides of asparagus, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. EXCELLENT wine (2 bottles!!) and we all shared the chocolate banana bread pudding.
This place is a gem - 5 star."

"We had a special meal (Mother's Day) at around 7:30pm. It was a very nice experience: the food was great, the service just right -- not too hovering, but there when we needed it. The decor of the restaurant is country elegant. All in all, a great place to eat for a special occasion."

"We had a small group - my daughter, myself and my sister. We were welcomed. had a lovely table and made to feel very welcomed! It was a great memory for us.Thanks so much for allowing us to have a wonderful Mother's Day. My sister was here from California and my daughter passed her PhD orals in French Literature and Languages (with distinction) at Harvard yesterday. I can't help but wonder if her taking the time off from studies to share time with us and getting feed so well helped her. We will remember it that way - thanks."

"Came here for their Saturday prix fixe for an early Mother's day celebration. We liked the atmosphere and the service, and the price for three courses is very reasonable.
However, the food was mediocre. The portions are large, but the flavors were just all right. The starter courses were nothing to write home about. The locally sourced greens were a little "old," though the strawberries were very fresh. For entrees, we had the steak over greens and the pulled pork. The steak was flavorless, and the pork was soggy. The kale was incredibly tough and had an unpleasant smokiness.
The maple cheesecake was good, the bread pudding inedible.
Our server was excellent and the place was highly recommended, so perhaps the kitchen had an off day."

"I brought my friends from Europe and Asia for brunch. There was 7 of us--the table was so cramped--the food did not look fresh and was picked over. We had finished most of our meal by the time our drinks came--and we said so. One drink was void of alcohol--the other was so strong my friend could not drink it--we sent both back.
I was so disappointed--Henrietta's was my favorite resturant . For $45.00+ per person I would have rather have gone to the Street Fair and eaten."

"I really wanted to like this place. Went for breakfast and had an omelet with hashbrowns and cranberry walnut toast. The omelet tasted burnt (how is that possible) and service was nonexistent after my food came. Is this because I was alone? It was at the end of the breakfast hour? Not sure, but staff was more interested in setting up for lunch. Will NOT be back or recommend!"

"Very good New England fare and spports of farm to table dining. Started with a cheese board of various cheeses from local farms... the cheeses were abolutely delicious and all had a creamy,buttery texture and were enjoyed by all. The cheese board included a small dish of raspberry preserves that were remarkably good. All dinners were well prepared and met everyones satisfaction. The sides were fresh and they offered a good selection. Will go back when they open the restaurant windows to the courtyard. Nice warm and inviting atmosphere."

"The food at Henrietta's Table is well-made and tasty, but it's not going to blow your mind. Two dishes came with mashed potatoes, but the other two mains did not. Literally, it's just the meat/fish on the plate, nothing else. At $20+ an entree, that's a bit ridiculous, and even moreso given that they charge $2 extra for side veggies. The bread at the beginning was also rather disappointing. Dessert was good, nothing spectacular. At peak hours, it's very noisy and hard to hear. We also showed five minutes past our reservation time and had to wait 25. Would return in a pinch, but not a favorite. Two entrees, four mains, one beer, one bottle of wine, two desserts came to $205."

"A great experience. A good selection of wines is paired well with a diverse menu of well prepared, locally sourced, tasty dishes. I was very pleased with the service. Our knowledgeable server was attentive, but not obtrusive throughout the eventing. Most impressive was the restaurant's organization - even though our reservation for 5 people was right in the middle of the Saturday dinner rush, we were seated immediately upon arrival. They have an outdoor patio, once the weather is nicer I can't wait to come back for an outdoor dining experience in the Charles hotel courtyard."

"Overall a very good experience. Great food, particularly the seafood and the beef. However, it was presented a bit oddly. There was no food area separate from the dining areas. They were a bit integrated, which was a bit unusual. The servers were friendly, though they could have been far more attentive with the water, juice, and coffee. Several times we looked around for our or another server, and he wasn't around. In the end he brought us the wrong bill. In the end we had to primarily rely upon other servers who we had to rope into serving us (even though we weren't in their sections)."

"I liked this restaurant very much and the service was great. I also liked the sun-flooded interior and general ambience. I must say however that for as highly-billed as Henrietta's Table is, my quiche was pretty good, but nothing exceptional. That's my only complaint however, and hardly a grave one -- also, this was my only visit so far. I would definitely go back."

"Enjoyed a delicious lunch - food was fabulous and fresh. The only thing they could work on was service attitude - they weren't very warm or interested in you having a good experience. Just sort of going through the motions - didn't sense any enthusiasm for their food or their establishment."

"Went for brunch on Saturday at noon and was a little disappointed with the limited selection of brunch options (only three breakfast-y options - the rest were for lunch). The Boston creme pie was amazingly good and the rest of the food was tasty, but wasn't that excited about the options. Also, we had to negotiate with the maitre d' to give us a table that wasn't crammed next to someone else, despite having made a reservation on Opentable ahead of time. All in all, the food was good, but probably not worth the exorbitant prices for brunch."

"Henrietta's table definitely didn't disappoint. We went for Restaurant Week and they offered most of the menu which was fantastic!! All of the dishes we had were amazing: Crab and Corn Chowder, Pork Chops, and the Smore's dessert. They had fun cocktails as well. Definitely try this place out!"

"I was impressed on a previous visit, but this time was simply okay. We went for Restaurant Week and this was probably the issue. Our server was awkward and not at all gracious. She took so long to check back and take our wine order that we were halfway through our main course and skipped the bottle. Our meal was good but not fantastic. What stood out most to me was their peanut butter ice cream for dessert, which was absolutely perfect. In the end, not impressed, but not fully unimpressed. It's just okay."

"We had a 2 PM reservation...Mashed potato and Chicken dishes were cold....Dessert table was a mess...Creme Brule pan was empty for our entire time...Fruit tart was crumbs and a few pieces of fruit.....Floors had visible chunks of various foods on it;no attempt to clean it up !! Very disappointed...would not go again !!"

"The restaurant is still quite well run, but not nearly as well run as it was in its early days when under the supervision of hotel owner Richard Friedman, who, along with his family,used to eat frequently at the restaurant. Perhaps this is the natural trajectory of a restaurant so successful that it gets sold by its founder to a more remote owner. Yet it is still a very good choice for a place to have very good food in a pleasant environment with very good service."

"Had a reservation but still had to wait. In the beginning, our service was great, in fact, it seemed like it might have been a little too quick. After our salads were cleared, however, we didn't see our waitress (or anyone else to ask) for too long. We wanted to order another bottle of wine, but no one came to see us.
Eventually, our meals were served (five of us first, the sixth, afterwards) and we enjoyed the food. But, we never got that other bottle of wine and decided to go elsewhere for dessert.

"Went there for Saturday brunch with the girls overall the food was great for the prix fix. Had the crab and corn chowder, which was a bit too rustic for my taste. I was expecting some buttery cream soup but instead found a light version of the soup that tasted mostly of the corn husk and very little of the crab and sweet corn flavor I was craving for. The chicken pot pie was also a "light" version unlike mom's homemade pie, but the pie crust was very buttery and the beautiful rich flavor of the rustic root veg flavor made up for the lack in creaminess. The dessert was a cheesecake with figs and was very light and yummy. Would consider going back again. Overall ambiance was great for a lively brunch!"
