"I've eaten at Benevento's twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is great and the portions are very large for very reasonable prices. Prices that are much different from what you usually find in similar North End restaurants! The goat cheese and fig salad was awesome. The service was great and the restaurant is very small so it has a cozy but nice feel to it."

"Food was great but two seater's are placed in front. We had two large groups on either side of us - the noise level was so high, we could not communicate without yelling - so had a silent dinner. With so many great places in the North End, I would definitely go elsewhere unless I was going with a group."

"What a great experience. We arrive at the front door and we were greeted by a very energetic and lovely hostess. She introduces us to the bar tender and they take good care of us. After a few drinks we move to our table. Our waitress is very knowledgable about he menu and the specials. She says, "the pasta is home made, here are some things you might like to consider. If you don't see something that quite meets you interest let me know what you are looing for and we will make it for you." Price was right and we will be back!"

"We arrived ontime for our reservation, seated promptly.Drink orders almost as fast. Things started out well, but then went downhill fast. My wife's martini type drinke was luke warm, not cold. The restuarant must be also paired (owned) by the one next door because they kept exchanging tables, chairs,people, what a mess. We won't go back. Cross this disorganized, not service oriented, restaurant off your list."

"What a wonderful place to visit in Boston!! The hostess was friendly from the beginning ... such a good start to an excellent meal. The server was exactly the same and you felt like you were an honored guest at the resturant. There were three of us for dinner. We ordered the calamari special to share. It was a generous portion and perfect. We also ordered the ceasar salad for two which was more than enough, with leftovers even, for three of us. We each had a generous entree and everyone was more than happy with their choices. We will definitely frequent Benevento's the next time we are in Boston."

Only thing that would make the pizza better is if they had a different oven they could bake it in, but since it's in a shared oven they have to use a metal tin on the bottom. Without it would be crisper :)"

"Benevento's is good for a night out with friends. We were three guys and the service was nice and very homey. The house merlot was not good, for appetizers we had the eggplant rollatinis, which were delicious. We also had the spicy fried calamari which was good but nothing special. The pizza was very delicious, some of the best oven baked ones iv had. The penne alla vodka wasn't good though, the cream was a little too watery and it lacked flavor. Overall the restaurant is nice if your just looking for a casual setting and a lively atmosphere."

"Food is always excellent but it was a very loud, crowded Friday night and the waitress seemed distracted. Salads here are almost a meal in themselves and combined with the fabulous pizza it was a great experience in all."

"This was my third time coming to Benevento's and everytime has been a great experience. The food is moderately priced, especially for Boston's North End, and is prepared very well. The staff is curteous and prompt. Overall we love this place, and take the time to try to eat here, whenever we make our way into Boston."

"A surprise celebration for my husband's birthday with family and friends. We ordered up lots of appetizers & wine and soon felt like were in Italy...The food was absolutely delicious, fresh crispy calamari, tasty bruschetta and a beautiful shrimp dish. We took our time and lingered over our meals - some of us ordered up delicious pizzas and others entrees. Overall, it was a great experience, really felt like we traveled to Italy for the afternoon. My new favorite North End place..."

"Didn't really know what to expect from a restaurant that is well known for its pizza, having grown up near New Haven. I was very pleasantly surprised at both the pizza and the pasta here. The Caesar salad was both plentiful and good. I ordered the fresh fusilli with vodka sauce and could only eat half of the generous portion. The taste was fantastic and the sauce contained plenty of veggies to make it a delightful experience. Others in the party had fettecine alfredo with chicken (excellent) and a pasta/chicken dish with arrabiatta sauce that was very zingy. We all plan to return."

"Got the BLT Pizza, it was probably the best pizza I have ever had. A girl I was with wanted a mixed drink with RedBull. They didn't have it at the bar so the server went to the store down the street to buy it for her.
The servers went above and beyond, the food was 5 stars."

"I'm a die hard Benevento's fan. Although I must say I was a little disappointed that we had a reservation for 7:30 and at 7:45 we were still asked to stand outside in the freezing cold while patrons from the sister restaurant who were waiting for their tables were permitted to come in and get warm and be at the bar. We could have had a drink at the bar and been a lot happier. It wasn't impressive."
