"From the first taste, you will know that the food is freshly prepared and the restaurant takes great care to seek quality ingredients. The vegetables seemed to have been gathered that morning. The veggie burger was decent, not overwhelming. I attempted to order off the menu and was immediately turned down, which surprised me. I would expect a restaurant of this caliber to cater to its patrons more readily. Overall, a solid choice."

"Not a great one. Several flaws: server disappeared for 15 min after ordering a bottle of wine. Comes back to show us the bottle and disappears again, comes back and hey presto the bottle is open. Do they not open bottles at the table any more? I'm not wine savvy enough to recognize if they switched wines...
Also, we both ordered the bass and they were out, so replaced the fish with snapper. I don't think that the flavour profiles are the same, despite what the server said.
We were there on a Friday night, so the noise level was bordering on intrusively loud. Still, I'd recommend you at least try ABC kitchen once."

"Three of us went for lunch and ordered different three course lunches and they were all fantastic! So much food, I could not finish my second course and had to take the dessert to go. "Brought my mother here for a special lunch. Great experience! Greeted with complimentary wine, and were never rushed despite a long lunch. The service was gracious, the lunch menu offered terrific variety and the food exceeded our expectations. Not too noisy, even when crowded (appreciated quiet music). Only complaint: the small tables were a bit close together; we were seated in between two other 2-top tables and could hear everything said by everyone else, even though other tables farther away were open and remained open. But otherwise an outstanding meal - we plan to return on our next trip into the city."

"From the simple but stylish wild flowers on the tables, the abundance of herbs by the kitchen , you could almost think you were eating right next to a farm. The food is delicious and original. Roasted carrots and advocado with a slight kick - a favorite.

"Overall I was disappointed. I have been wanting to go here for some time but couldn't get reservations at a good time. I thought the food was good but way overpriced. The kale salad was excellent and mushroom pizza but not worth the price and I left hungry. The check arrived the second we took our last bite. This is one place I will say been there done that and not consider going back. There are too many good restaurants more reasonably priced to return."

"Everything was excellent here at ABC Kitchen. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place and we are mad we waited so long. From the friendly and helpful Host/Hostess to the bartenders and the waitstaff the service was great. The food was even better! We wanted to try a few items so they split the entrees for us without even asking and it was little things like this that made us happy. The apps were all amazing, loved the shaved raw fluke, the kale salad, pork belly and salmon! We also shared an amzing rabbit pasta that was incredible. We will be coming back soon, not soon enough actually!"

"Marvelously imaginative, innovative and creative, this restaurant is just outstanding. The hip interior provides the perfect mood light but is thoughtfully designed so that every table is lit properly to read the menu. And what a menu it is! When you go, don't make any decisions until you hear what marvelous super fresh vegetable or ingredient is being featured that evening. When we went, it was ramp. They made a ramp "pesto" with pumpkin seeds and som eother magical ingredients that they put on a marvelous toast and added crumbled triple creme goat cheese that was to die for! The suckling pig with smoked bacon marmelade is now permanently embedded into my memory.....Don't think about it. Just go!"

"If all the food I put in my mouth could just be half as good as what is served at ABC Kitchen...! It's amazing how eating at ABC Kitchen is like eating for the first time. "Fabulous food. Did not like that we had waited a bit to be seated. However, as we were seated I noted a number of tables available and yet people were waiting at the front. I assume that is to keep the "buzz" going. Not one of my favorite gimicks that restaurants do. Other than that, ABC Kitchen is a top spot for me."

"As good as I imagined after watching a TV note, Iconoclasts, on Jean George. We had Maine lobster with Sancerre, absolutely perfect. Attention to detail in food and service up to the little plate in which the bill is presented. Will recomend it to my friends and come back every time I visit NYC."

"My husband and I had a great experience at ABC Kitchen. The atmosphere is something you could only experience in NYC. The cocktails were quite creative and delicious. The food was very good as well. We liked having the option of splitting small plates or ordering full entrees. We opted for small plates since there were many items we wanted to try. The hand made cavatelli with the rabbit ragu was the stand out dish but we also really enjoyed the asparagus and bacon pizza. Service was adequate. We are glad we chose to try ABC Kitchen."

"Love this place. Food it great! The food was so good I went back again after sitting at the bar the first time and not liking the service. The tender was too interested in serving the "Hip Couple" next to me. My money is still good and I am a fantastic tipper, but I am not hip. Have two more reservations in the future, but I am not sitting at the bar (and I am still not hip, but love good food!)"

Too loud for my liking, sure is a scene...
We are quite picky when it comes to our seafood, but I have to say everything we ordered was awesome. It was unique and well flavoured as well as surprisingly "healthy", meaning not so much oil and butter. And we ordered lots of different dishes"

"The food was outstanding, as always service truly impeccable. The atmosphere here is not fussy, not "fine dining" but chic. (Dress is anywhere from nice jeans to jackets...) Every time I'm there I see kids, so I guess I'd say bring your kid if they're well -behaved and used to dining in "grown-up" restaurants..."

"My latest experience at ABC Kitchen was off the charts. The mgmt and staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I brought my parents to celebrate their 34 wedding anniversary and shared with them the news that I'm pregnant. They carefully explained every menu item, brought a new dish for us to try, and made an assortment of special desserts w 'Happy Anniversary' and 'Congratulations' written in fine chocolate. I've lived in NY for over 10 years and it can be difficult to find this level of service and kindness towards customers. We will never forget the special moments we shared at ABC Kitchen."

"Had a wonderful time with my husband and infant daughter for a late lunch. The prix fixe meal was a great bargain and the added crab toast from the chef made a great experience for us. I had the squash and goat cheese toast for an appetizer, veggie burger for my meal and the chocolate/pb and popcorn dessert. Fantastic. My husband had the sashimi app, ravioli with egg and pork and the cookie plate for dessert. I would definitely return but next time, hopefully for dinner with the hubby."

"We loved our dinner at ABC Kitchen - the food is spectacular and the setting is lovely. However, at a restaurant of this quality, a couple things should be addressed:
1) We were seated at a table that seemed to be under a spotlight. Looking around, all the other tables were bathed in a soft light - I wanted that romance too! It took asking twice to have them adjust it. And when they finally did, it made a HUGE difference.
2) Our waiter was not very forthcoming with descriptions, suggestions or any real finesse. He was pretty curt to (not really) answer our questions, and attempted to take away our utensils while we were still enjoying one of our appetizers."

"Called prior to arriving to say we were celebrating a birthday, and that we would have an infant in tow. They gave us a perfect table with plenty of room for the baby seat. When dessert came, they brought out a candle-lit cupcake with a pretty 'happy birthday' scribed on the plate. The food is unique yet familiar...perfectly complementary tastes in each dish. I'd recommend the Prix Fixe menu - great choices of each course. I adore the interior design - beautiful lighting and just right design elements. Wonderful experience."
