"The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and special but without making us feel smothered. They were extremely friendly and seems honestly interested in making the meal a good experience. We came for lunch and both had sandwiches. My wife had the burger and I had the chicken sandwich, and we were both very happy with our choices. You won't be disappointed."

"First time dining at this restaurant and our family of five (ages 6, 15, 23, 50+) enjoyed it very much. Appetizers included the "grilled" Caesar, St. Marie salad, gnocchi and fromage plate. High quality and delicious. The fish-of-the-day fresh speckled trout really was fresh speckled trout and the entire plate was just right. The duck two ways was a generous serving of perfectly cooked breast served alongside a creamy duck risotto. And three of our party - yes, the youngest three - all had chicken and waffles. The chicken was boneless and amazing. The Crystal Hot Sauce syrup was a little spicy, it was a good idea to have it on the side. We were happy traditional maple syrup was also available. LOVED the New Orleans street map on the walls!"

"I've always known Ste. Marie for a great cocktail venue, but when we had Mother's Day lunch there with my wife, in-laws, and daughter, we were plesantly surprised at the quality of the food at such affordable prices. We can't wait to go back."

"Went for Brunch recently and we were the only people there at 11 am, which seemed odd but maybe they get busy from noon on. Crisp modern inside, I bet a great place for drinks/dinner, but brunch seemed to be an after thought. Menu was typical fare and the food was good, but over thought. the "home made" bloody marys were of unknown ingredients and resembled nothing of a bloody mary i've ever had. tomato juice and vodka is all that's needed....don't over think it. also, the "syrup" on the chicken and waffles was baffling as it was a bit spicy instead of sweet. again....simple maple syrup is all that is needed....don't over think it. I'd definitely try Sainte Marie for dinner or drinks, but don't think Brunch is their niche."

"Went here for anniversary dinner. Told the waiter and he brought us creme brulee for dessert complete with vanilla ice cream! We checked out the menu the night before and were really excited to try the food. Fiance even saved his stomach to eat there. We got the mussels, escargot and lamb ribs for appetizer. Then chicken and waffles and steak frites for entree. The steak had no flavor and was overcooked. The waffles are not crispy and chicken was too salty. The lamb ribs came out cold. Mussels and escargot were great, just appetizer size was small. We boxed the entrees to bring home and it was a lot better the next day. They even wrote a thank card that came a few days after! Great service here."

"We stumbled on Sainte Marie, quite honestly, because we needed a place to eat the Saturday of French Quarter Fest (and weren't going to venture back in to the FQ) and didn't have any reservations. We were staying nearby and the reviews looked good so we gave it a try. Drinks were good, service was great, and we loved the chicken and waffles! The bread pudding with strawberry sauce was excellent as well. Would come back -- I would call this a hidden gem."

"The fried chicken and waffles with the hot sauce maple syrup was amazing as were the fish special and the pork chops. The staff were friendly and helpful. The berries with homemade whipped cream were a perfect finish to the meal."

"Oh my gosh - we LOVE Sainte Marie! My husband and I came here for the first time for our anniversary. Our waitress was incredibly nice and brought us two complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. So yummy. We both loved the cheese plate that we shared. I had the chicken and waffles. OH. MY. GOSH. I can't stop raving about it. Best I've ever had. We will definitely come back. Any restaurant that treats us this well will definitely be getting our business. Thank you so much!"

"The food was good - the portions are a good size and the presentation was appealing. The wait time to receive our food was too long, upwards of 30 minutes. Otherwise, we enjoyed it!"

"Very nice ambiance, but unfortunately the night I went I had the intent of ordering chicken and waffles. I was not informed of their broken waffle iron until my beer was opened and brought to me. Unsure if I will give them another chance. Seemed like it would be an excellent dining experience but I was shocked with how unapologetic the staff was."

"Sainte Marie was great again. I still highly recommend the grilled Cesar and the steak frites. This time I had the Bouillabaisse which was alright but I probably won't get again. The dish was overwhelmed by the taste of the muscles. Overall still a great experience and we will definitely be back."

"Attending a convention in Nola. Needed a good group meeting place for dinner. Saint Marie was perfect. Modern look. Open airy space was perfect for our group. Cocktails were really fun and tasty. Food was outstanding. For appetizers we had: escargot, cheese platter and oysters. For entrees: chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits - delish. For dessert: lemon tarragon ice box cake - so good; and the chocolate pudding - great presentation but we didn't like it. I wanted to go back again the next night everything was so perfect."

"Food and service are terrific with a good wine list. The noise is excrutiating. The ceilings are high concrete (the floor is concrete too)with no baffle. Couple this with happy hour and lots of happy people and it is virtually impossible to hear the servers or your companion(s). I loved the food but I would never, ever go back to this restaurant. I felt I had tinnitus for hours afterwards. Ears literally ringing."

"An attractive, but cavernous room, made uncomfortably loud by raucous music (e.g., Led Zeppelin). Love the music, but really - there's a time and place. Service was friendly, food was fine, but it just wasn't pleasant to be there."
