"We went on Mother's day for brunch with our Mom and our extended family. The pictures really didn't do the place justice. Aside from being at City Place ( a small street in Edgewater, NJ designed to look like a NY City shopping block), the place had a nice view of the the city, if you chose the out door seating. Because of the size of our party, we sat inside, but weren't disappointed. It had an open, European, communal dining, ambiance, where a views and smells of the kitchen were within a stones throw. The wait staff were polite and very attentive. We ate family style, ordering the Lamb chops, Red Snapper, Mac and Cheese, Grilled Cheese and Hummus. We finished with Greek coffee and Baklava. The kids ate fruit tarts from the dessert case."

"I have been here about 6 times over the past 3 years. This is a local spot embedded in an outdoor strip mall so it is convenient when shopping. I do not find it to be a place to go for a date night , maybe a family dinner, is also fine. It has an open kitchen so you are going to smell strongly of food unless you go outside. It is pricey for what you are getting (hummus, salads, grilled meats and fishes.) We shared a salad and grilled prawns + a bottle of sparkling water and the bill was 60 with the tip. The food is solidly good, but note everything seems to be marinated /dressed in the same olive oil, lemon and oregano so from salad to grilled fish things taste pretty similar-service was rushed, but attentive."

"Yesterday, we had an early dinner at Greek Taverna, before going to the movie.
We brought with us a nice bottle of assyrtico from Santorini.
We always start with a traditional Greek salad, then we split a Bronzini, and cheesecake baklava for dessert with Greek coffee
Best BYOB, even though that they now have a New Jersey Wine license.
A small selection, 3 whites and 5 reds."

"I was very pleased with the presentation & quality of the food. I'm Greek so I'm extra picky when it comes to my cuisine. Greek Taverna is doing it right. A must for fans of great Greek food. It's also BYOB which is awesome!"
