"Had high expectations for this restaurant....the food and service were okay...There were several servers coming to the table and asking for orders after someone else had already taken orders. This occurred several times (drinks, appetizers and meal). All the staff was friendly but it felt disorganized. We arrived for our reservation and host told us we would be seated and a second later another came and told us table wasn't ready and the first one took us to a table..the entire evening went on that way...

Drinks were good...I enjoyed the half bottle champagne and other drinks...we had the cerviche appetizer and did not enjoy it as it lacked flavor...enjoyed the scallop and beef entree and pasta..

Not likely to return"

"Went for Mother's Day brunch. Great selections and evrything we ordered was very good. The service was friendly but took very long between courses and had to look for server, although there were many, when they were needed. Otherwise, very enjoyable day and will definitely return."

"We were delighted to find this wonderful restaurant in our own back yard. The decor is sophisticated & elegant while still cozy & inviting. The meal we had was wonderfully prepared & beautifully served. We will come back."

"We had a very enjoyable evening. My husband had the chopped salad and filet mignon and I had the octopus and seafood pasta. I found my octopus okay but too salty and kind of mushy. I guess I prefer the grilled octopus. My seafood pasta was excellent. Very tasty with plenty of seafood.My husband enjoyed his salad and filet very. The filet was high quality and exactly medium rare as he had asked for.We've been to Maritine Parc several times before and have always enjoyed our meal and the service is amazing.We were seated in a place surrounded by children who were for the most part well-behaved but next time we will ask to be seated elsewhere.We loved to sit on the terrace-the view is amazing-NYC ! Alas it was too cool on this night."

"As soon as we walked in, we thought we were underdressed because others were in dresses/suits...but turned out they had a wedding upstairs!!!
The bar was much smaller than it looked on the website. Also, it was more romantic then it looked on site as well. Luckily, we don't mind as long as the food is good...which it was!!! We started w/the pork belly & ricotta gnudi...absolutely delectable...melt in your mouth!!! Then we shared the seafood pasta in the lemon thyme reduction...outrageous & the scallops favorite...the braised beef short ribs were just okay. For dessert we had the lemon bar/pistachio cake w/dried raspberries...delicious & the chocolate torte...very bitter & the orange ice cream/oranges didn't compliment it as imagined..."

"The food was quite good and the chef accomodating to a special request. One entree meat dish was too rare but they took care of it quickly, without complaint. The service was excellent -- attentive but not intrusive."

"Impressive wine list. Would come back again, but maybe in summer so can sit outdoors, for a more casual dining experience. All the servers were really attentive and friendly. Would not order the butternut squash soup (too salty) or salad (uninspired) as appetizers again. But the filet mignon was delicious, as was the seafood pasta!"

"My wife and I had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food and wine pairings were excellent. We particularly loved the Kung Pao Pork Belly.

Service was a little quick but friendly. I would have liked some more explanation on the food and wine pairings but overall we were very pleased with our experience."

"This is a very nice, modern option at Liberty State Park, right along the Marina. The decor is modern. The menu is limited. When we asked if the Trout, part of a pre-fix menu, could be prepared without the Bacon the waiter said "No, that's the way it is made." That was a disappointment. As a result we only ate breakfast/lunch items. Had they been more flexible, i.e. prepare our food to order, we would have ordered the pre-fix, which was twice as much. Hence, a sale lost."

"We were impressed by how good the food was. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was presented well, delicious, and well-portioned. One of the best meals I've had in Jersey City, which has truely emerged a culinary city in the last few years. The restaurant is very modern looking with a sailing motif. The view of New York City is excellent. We will definietly go back some time, especially in warmer weather to sit outside and sample the raw bar."

"Service was disjointed- our bread wasn't brought to our table until we already had our apps, after our 1st glass, wine was not refilled. Octopus app was over powered by pork belly . Oyster app was very good but very light. Scallops that came with short ribs were slightly fishy. Pork chop was very good. Apple crumb dessert was excellent. Will go back but will wait till the spring menu is available. P.S. Did not try the duck fat fries but they did smell fantastic."

"Had dinner as part of a visit to determine if the venue could be a possibility for a wedding. Staff was wonderful - not too intrusive, not too lax. Had the 4 course tastings menu that included some of the reception dishes. Had the grilled oysters which were fantastic as well as the port chop. The dessert was a bread pudding and chocolate taste. Fantastic meal! The view is not too shabby."

"Beautiful view all the way around, very romantic setting. Went here for Valentine's Day, and everything was right on key. Service was great and catered to your every need. Food was very good, not great, but very good. The shrimp cocktail app were huge, amazing. I had the filet mignon which i ordered rare, it was exactly rare, but it was close, but the meat was good quality. The desserts were flavorful, and all the presentations for the food looked great, I will for sure go back and recommend."

"The view is great- statue of liberty and the NYC skyline- from a dining room surrounded by windows. The food was well prepared and presented. The staff here is impecably trained...we were impressed by the attentiveness and protocol. Wonderful evening, we highly recommend."
