"We have eaten here since it opened, one of our favorite restaurants. In the past year the food quality has declined substantially. Our dinner was mediocre at best. Our waiter was very attentive. Sad to say we will not be going back."

"All your favorites are here. Disappointed in the salmon salad but the seafood pasta was tasty and appreciated by others with us.
Restaurant closes at 2:30 or 3:30 for several hours. A cozy place that is comfortable and enjoyable for an evening out. Very affordable prices."

"Was given a table by the kitchen which was not a great location. Asked if we could have a different table, they had to check. There we're quite a few open tables. They said we could have a another table but only a table for two in the middle of two other tables which one of the tables on the end was open and the other table on the end was paying their bill. Not really sure why we could not have an end table, we did make a reservation and the table was open. Did not set the mood for a good dinner."

"The food was very good but the noise level was so high that we couldn't enjoy the dinner. Also although the waitress was excellent she had so many table to cover at one time that the service was just fair. She commented that everyone came in at once, but the management should realize that certain hours on a weekend night will be more hectic than others and have enough wait staff."

"Just a delightful restaurant! The pasta is outstanding being perfectly prepared. The Caesar salad had a great dressing and very crisp and cold lettuce. All four of us enjoyed our dinners. Alexis, our waitress, couldn't have been better. She was efficient, friendly and accommodating. We had visitors from out of state who were quite impressed. A perfect evening!"

"This is a great place to go for great food and decent service. The only problem is when the restaurant has a good size crowd it's so loud you can't hear yourselves think. You might as well be at a rock concert. So if you can overlook the noise which we did, the food was fabulous and the service was pretty good. No waiting on food or wait staff so that's a win win. Like I said, the noise is really the only thing I downgraded this place on. I would suggest to the management to try some sort of ceiling insulation to keep the noise level down. You could then have an A+ place... wonder if lunches might be a good thing. Friday night=noise.. what can I say?"

"I made a reservation a week in advance on OpenTable but when we arrived they tried to seat us at a high table in the bar. I objected and they sat us at a small folding table my legs would not fit under. My date and I were both disappointed in the customer service and the food."

"Our work team had a fun lunch at this gem of a place last week. Nice menu, lots of choices. Those of us who had it loved both the quality of the salmon and its preparation. Others had this to say: "my pizza was absolutely fabulous -- the flavors and textures of crust, cheese, prosciutto and pear were perfectly complementary (had the leftovers for dinner and they were even good cold!)" -- "my salad and bruschetta were both delicious, and the service was excellent."
We also appreciated the setup -- they have a round table which suited our group of 8 perfectly. A couple of our folks had previously been here for dinner and enjoyed it too. My first time at Chianti Cucina - Novato, definitely not my last!"

"the food is excellent, service usually very good. only thing this time was that i ordered a $10 glass of wine and the wine tasted like the bottle had been open for a while. i asked the waitress she brought me a new glass of the same wine from a new bottle no questions asked.. what a difference. just feel for $ 10 a glass i shouldn't have received a glass from an old bottle. other from that the usual great experience."
