"When we think of fine dining, my husband and I choose Romaine's. Our steaks were delicious--how can you go wrong pairing filet and bleu cheese? There was no problem with my side substitution. The peach tart was exactly right for sharing. Lisa's service was efficient and friendly."

"We have been here before and chose this restaurant to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We started out splitting a simple mixed green salad which was outstanding (loved the stilton cheese on top). For entrees, I had the veal bolognese and my wife had the shrimp fettuccini, which were excellent. My wife raved about her dish but couldn't finish and had to bring some home. We ended the night with coffee and their cinnamon bread pudding. The service was outstanding, very attentive without being annoying. I highly recommend this restaurant as the food is always great. Just save some room for the cinnamon bread pudding."

"An outstanding restaurant in the most unlikely of locations. Don't let the strip mall location fool you, Romaine's is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in the Worcester and 495-belt area. The quality and presentation of the many meals I've had there has always been terrific. Wait staff is low key, but attentive. Family friendly but most patrons are couples or small groups of friends. Moderate noise level but no problem having a conversation at the table. Great place."

"The atmosphere was a bit noisy but the food was great. Our server, Betahny, was knowledgable efficient and had a nice pace with the courses.When she ran down the specials she included the price in her presentation. That is not often done and it is appreciated. The clam choweder was memorable but the sweet potato, in it ,although unique, was not necessary. My dining partner loved the fried oyster and green appetizer..

"Romaines never fails to satisfy. It is without doubt the finest, most consistent restaurant in the general area.
One never has to compromise here. The bar plate menu is a wonderful touch with many fine choices for the budget cconscious or light eater. The salads are lovely, the soups are good, and the food is well prepared. Lastly, the staff and management are extremely accommodating."

"We have eaten at Romaine's many times but this was the most disappointing experience. We made the reservation though open table for four people. A table was set up by the dining room bar area right next to the door which is not normally there. My husband was served a martini that masted like old warm ice with some vodka in it. We did return it, the next one was better. The meals other than mine we're okay, but the steaks were defiantly not a prime cut grade. I had the haddock which was extremely disappointing, thin, dry over a corn mixture. I have eaten the haddock many times there but the new combo was not good at all. Overall the family was disappointed."

"We go there every year for my birthday, and for good reason. The food is always delicious! This time was no exception. Even better was their special for the night, filet with half of a lobster tail in a tarragon butter scampi, their steaks rival any restaurant in Boston. Service is always top notch too!"

"My wife and I went to Romaines on a Friday night and were not disapointed. The restaurant and bar were very busy but we were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive. We had fried calamari which was recommended by our waitress and it was very good. I ordered the grilled lamb steak and it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. My wife had the swordfish special which was outstanding.
Overall we were very happy with Romaine's and felt we had a very good meal and expereince for the money.
Recommended."

"We've been to Romaine's many times. The food is consistently good and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Prices are quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. Salads here are especially good - very fresh with interesting combinations of ingredients. The beet and bean salad with mint dressing is new to the menu and quite wonderful. We recommend the calamari, jambalaya, duck, crab cakes, and sweet potato fries. It always seems a bit noisy there, even when the restaurant isn't very crowded, probably because the music is a bit loud., but that is really the only complaint I have about the place."

"We discovered Romaine's over 5 years ago and oddly, I recall our first experience was not that favorable. I'm not sure what happened that first time around but my husband and I love Romaine's. We live in the next town over and it is wonderful to have Romaine's as our go-to spot for special occasions as well as a quick bite at the bar. I held my husband's 40th surprise birthday party in the Wine Room and it was terrific - well executed and the waitstaff were right on top of it. This latest visit was on a Friday night and we both had a delicious tenderloin prepared to perfection. It is best to make reservations if you're thinking about going on Friday or Saturday night as there is always a crowd."

"Did not know of Romaines until seeing it featured on Phantom Gourmet. Took a chance and came for Mother's Day. Thought it might be a buffet as there was nothing on your website other than the dinner menu. While not generally happy with buffets, I thought you did a great job at food prep which I generally don't like when food sits around. We were so happy with the buffet that we know we will come back for dinner. While our waitress was very friendly, she did leave us for long periods and, at meal's end, we finally had to ask another employee if we could get some coffee. Nonetheless, it was a nice place for lunch on Mother's Day and we will definitely be back for dinner."

"We have been fans of Romanies for years and have always loved it. Our waitress Friday nite must have been new as she definitely was not the usual well trained waitress that we are accustomed to. Also, I would encourage the owner to change the menu. There were a few new items added, but so e of these dishes have been there for ever. I usually get a special, having had every other item. "We have eaten at this restaurant many times. As a matter of fact we have reached our $500.00 and have started the card again.
On this night, we order NY sirloin steaks. They were tough and had alot of grizzle. We were disappointed. Also instead of potatoes I requested spinach, and they charged me additional money?

"This is always the place I want to go to when we are planning to go out for dinner. My spouse doesn't like it quite as much since there still aren't many options for vegetarians. It is also a bit pricey, and we are trying to economize a bit, but there are several wonderful items on the "bar menu," so it is possible to have a wonderful meal for about the same price as a mediocre meal at one of the chain restaurants; you just have to order carefully. Save room for dessert!"

"As always, the meals were imaginative, tasty and interesting. I had a curried lamb kebob on a Mediterranean salad and my wife had the ribs with onion rings and raviolis with cheddar and some other stuffings that I can't remember. Both were specials and fantastic. They split a salad for us as they are so large they would spoil the appetite for the entrees. The service was wonderful, attentive without rushing us, letting us linger over drinks before and after the food. It certainly didn't hurt that as regulars there, we had a $50 rewards certificate (after $500 spent there, they return the favor with a $50 certificate)."

"We have been to Romaine's numerous times. As always the food was great. One of the items ordinarily on the menu, that I often order (pulled pork), was already sold out for the night even though we got there early. But that pushed me to get something new and I'm glad I did. The Chicken Piccata was simple and delightful! The frustration lay in the fact that we had been been given a Visa gift card to use. "Go out and have a nice dinner", said my Niece. But Romaine's would not accept the Visa gift card. I found that to be extremely odd and extremely frustrating. The card had never been used before and I asked the waitress for a pen to sign the card as I opened the packaging, so clearly the full amount was on the card! Grrr."

"Very friendly and efficient service. We had to be out by a specific time to attend to another engagement and our waitress and the kitchen accommodated us perfectly. Food was delicious! Clam and corn chowder with bacon was rich and flavorful. Crab cakes were crisp and light. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pasta bolognese and wedge salad. Will go again."

"This is our 3rd time coming to Romaine's and I look forward to many more. It's great to come with a group so you can sample the appetizers and desserts as they are all excellent. The duck was moist and delicious as we're the steak tips. We were seated immediately and greeted warmly."

"Barbara & I have been going to Romaine's for quite a few years. The best thing about Romaine's is consistency. The Food is always excellent as well as the Service, Ambiance and Noise Level. "Romaine's is a favorite of ours and just when we thought it couldn't get any better it did. I had the salmon special with hash and it was so delicious that even my boyfriend loved it and he hates salmon. He got the shrimp fettuccini and the shrimp and fettuccini were cooked to perfection. Our only regret was we didn't save room for dessert because their Crème Brule is to die for. Go to Romaine's if you're looking for an excellent dining experience."

"Most buffets offer the same usual standard dishes - this buffet was anything but standard. The food was creative, there was a great variety to choose from and the items had great flavor and tasted fantastic. The service was excellent. We have a small child and it was Easter. They were extremely accomodating and attentive. It's in a strip-mall, so we were quick to judge before we walked in the door. We were so wrong. It was a fabulous meal and we will certainly be back. Awesome!"

"The overall experience at Romaine's was very nice. The service we recieved was excellent. Food was well prepared with good sized portions.
My only real negative comment is that the lighting was turned down way to low, I like a little "Mood Lighting" but this room was DARK.
