"We came to Habitat a little apprehensive since reviews seemed average but were blown away with the fantastic food and professional service. My husband had the Cauliflower Veloute, Brome Lake Duck Breast and the Banana Walnut Bread Pudding. All of which were delicious and enjoyable. I had the Romano's Crab Cake, Alberta Game Changer and White Chocolate Creme Brulee. I enjoyed it all though the Game Changer reminded me of pot roast, of which I'm typically not a big fan of, however it was still very tasty. Christian our server was one of the best server's we've had in a long time esp at this price range (which in my opinion was well worth it). He was respectful and asked the appropriate questions as the appropriate times."

"Had a fantastic meal. Love the way the menu was laid out with the 3 course meal. Roberto was our server and he was simply AMAZING! We found out that Roberto is leaving. We think that his leaving will be a big loss to Habitat! Sorry to see him go!"

"First time back in quite a while and was very happy with my experience. We were served by Roberto who upheld Habitat's tradition of great service. We both opted for the three course table d'hôte menu. We paid the half price locals price, but even at full price this would be a good deal.My girlfriend had the crab cakes, osso bucco, and the chocolate fudge dessert and was happy with all three courses. I opted for the deconstructed pork ravioli which was creatively presented if a wee bit tasteless. For my main, I had the duck with gnocchi and, sadly, found both to be overly chewy. Fortunately, the creme caramel I had for dessert helped to put that disappointment out of my mind. Despite the disappointing main, I'll definitely return."

"We were celebrating a birthday and chose to patronize this higher end restaurant and throughly enjoyed ourselves as a result. We were seated in a more intimate area next to the wine cellar. Wonderful view!The menu was beautiful and thoughtful with an equally so wine list. We requested the Chateau Briand it was cooked to perfection which takes 40 mintues, we gladly waited.The starter and dessert courses completed the dinner fabulously!

Our server, Roberto, ensured that we enjoyed our evening even though the restaurant was rather busy. All the Staff Members were very attentive and we were met with many smiles throughout the evening. We own a condo in Canmore and we will definitely return!"

"We made a reservation for 4:00 on a Saturday, for early dinner. No parking anywhere. I went ahead of my husband to ask about parking, waited 5 minutes before leaving to find someone at the front desk. Finally got concierge to give us a key for parkade. Parkade was covered in a thick blanket of dust - seriously. It looked like a bomb went off. We arrived back at the restaurant, were seated, and given LUNCH menus - even though it says right on the menu that lunch ends at 2:30. Apparently they extend the menu to Open Table customers before opening for dinner. Waiter did not even say hello - just "have you decided?" They were out of the gluten-free sandwich bread so I only had one option other than salad. We will not be returning."

"Had the opportunity to enjoy Habitat for a second Valentines Day Dinner. If possible, the 3 course meal was even better than last year. Again the lovely touch of a complimentary amuse bouche - a perfect oyster- to start the evening. Perfect cocktails the bartender personally came to check on - a spectacular Shiraz to accompany our Chataubriand recommended by the attentive, and charming food and bevg manager. Each course was served beautifully and with a special touch- ie. my cauliflower velouté came with an amazing duck spring roll in a bowl and the server poured the creamy soup over it at the table, we were shown our perfect beef before the chef sliced it for us.
It is the little touches and great food that will keep us coming back!"

"This restaurant had a classy feel yet we were comfortable dressed in nice jeans. I easily could have dressed up more and felt that I was dressed appropriately. We had a nice table for two but it was situated a little close to the couple at the next table. If you are looking for a more private setting you may need to request a table more secluded. Food was amazing and well worth it. The flavours, creativity of each course and presentaion were outstanding."
