"one of us ordered hamburger, medium rare and asked the server if that would be a problem and she assured him it would not, but it came out medium, maybe medium plus. Disappointment that they couldn't get a hamburger right!"

"I have tried many of the items off the menu and don't have anything bad to say about any of them. On my last visit I had the Seared Ahi Tuna with Soba Noodles, and it is now one of my favorite dishes. I love grabbing a bite to eat there on Sundays with my girlfriends, especially when the weather is nice outside. The patio seating is lovey and the ambiance from the pedestrians makes it exciting. And, you can't beat the 1/2 priced bottles of wine on Sundays...What a steal! Overall, I have had a great dining experience each time. The staff is very friendly and service is always on point!"

"I took my wife to The Greene House for a "date night", something we've not been able to do for a very long time. We chose this restaurant based on it's location and reviews, and were very pleasantly surprised that it not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. The service was fantastic, the food was even better. We will without doubt make many return visits."

"The service was poor and admittedly that may have placed a negative impact on the rest of the meal, but despite the stellar reviews I was disappointed. I had the short ribs along with another in our party based on the recommendation of our server. The server returned later to tell us that some of the elements of the dish were no longer in stock (at a 7pm reservation) and perhaps this impacted the taste.
The server must have been having a bad day, beyond inattentive she was borderline mean spirited."

"We had a party of 4 adults and were there celebrating a birthday. We had the tuna tartare tacos and they were fantastic. Crispy, fresh and flavourful. I ordered the Greene House salad to share and it was fantastic. There are lots of great flavours in there and the green goddess dressing is some of the best I've had. It was a good portion size too. The scallops weren't their best dish. The other diners had the beef short ribs, which were meaty, flavourful and had a nice potato or polenta base, the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin was moist and delicious. I also liked that the wine is offered in 2 sizes. The service was great, the drinks were flowing at a nice easy pace and the food arrived in a timely manner."

"This is a great time of the year to dine on the patio and enjoy people-watching on the street. We love Sunday "half price bottles of wine" and I simply crave the salmon salad or the best fish & chips ever!! The fish & chips are better than what we had in Ireland and we always ask for a side of malt vinegar. I can't think of going here without having the brie plate appetizer too! The wine list includes a nice selection of Napa wines as well as many others. This is one of our reliable favorite places :)"

"Best calamari appetizer around! Yum! The chicken and prosciutto ravioli was scrumptious. I am a big chocolate fan, but I went with the Carmel Apple Crostada and rewarded with a super desert! "Very noisy spot. Food quality was good but service from hostess to server seemed to be an afterthought. Hostess told me I should wait, she had two parties in front of me. I had indicated on my reservation that this was a birthday celebration for my friend, but it was never acknowledged. When I mentioned to server, she said,"Oh, did you want to pick a dessert?". No one seemed very concerned about our experience."

"This is a good restaurant and I would recommend it for those who like to people watch. You can sit outside and watch those who pass by, have a very decent meal, not pay a small fortune to do either, and be quite pleased with your choice when you leave."

"Great food. the calamari and the Chicken/Prosciutto Ravioli that I had were fantastic. Everyone loved their entree. Vibrant but not so noisy that you can't have a conversation. Compared to Richardson's last week (Ugh), don't think twice. Go to the Green House."

"They were very pleasant and accomodating to our request for a booth. It was very noise and hard to hear each other. Of the four of us, 2 people very much enjoyed what they ordered, one sent theirs back and the 4th person ordered hummis which was spicy and they are not able to eat spicy foods. The menue says Herb Hummis but should also list the types of herbs or that it is spicy. Overall it was good, but this group probably are not going to put it on their "favorite" list"

"We live about 45 minutes away from The Greene House, but whenever we're headed to that side of town we always make a point of returning. Haven't tried one other restaurant anywhere nearby. The food is always wonderful, with great wine by the glass selections. My husband had the excellent fish and chips which meant tearing him away from the short ribs or the mussels (both are also excellent). I enjoyed the Asian chicken salad - again - which meant none of the wonderful pasta dishes. They are the only restaurant I've found that features a Martin Codax albarino that I love. We sat outside, where it's noisy, but it was a gorgeous day so who cares?"
