"Went here on a Friday night with my boyfriend. Our food took a while to come out but they had a quite a few large groups so it is understandable. I had the pulled pork mac n cheese which was OK. I should have opted for the original mac n cheese... it looked much better (the person sitting beside me ordred it). My boyfriend ordered the Steak Frite which he said was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for it's ideal location, friendly staff and good food overall. Can accomodate large groups which is a big plus.

"The food was good, but did not compensate for the poor service. We waited a long time to get served, to have our plates cleared away, etc.
I would suggest the server try smiling instead of scowling when she comes to the table.
More importantly, I find it offensive to be told that I have to vacate my table at a certain time. In this case, that we were told this before we even ordered a drink!"

"50th Date: Czehoski was good but I would not order the Risotto rice dish again. The pork looked good...next time. We attended for the music festival and the music of Stacey Kaniuk was GREAT. I would go there to see her again. The food was less than exciting (too bad) but it was a great place for drinks and music. We will go back ,but no rice dish this time. Sorry guys."

"This is the second time I’ve been to Czehoski. Although the service and food were good this visit, they both weren’t great as they were in our first visit. I'm not sure if it was because of the timing we came or just the amazing server we had the first time that made this visit not as memorable. It was also considerably louder, to a point where I couldn't talk across the table without having to yell. The music would also start and stop and repeat the same song over and over and over again."

"Great atmosphere, unique-like menu. Service was great! Food could have been served hotter (instead of just warm). Particularly, the soup was luke warm on one side, cold on the other (microwaved?). Deserts were the most fresh tasting. Martinis need some more attention on the bartender's side. Our particular server had poor oral hygiene, but excellent service. Overall, would return for drinks and atmosphere, maybe not so much for the dining experience. 7 out of 10."

"Excellent spot for a special occasion. Reserved a table very late for Valentine's Day and was met with a quiet restaurant and awesome service. Definitely going back, food and drinks were awesome, prices very reasonable for downtown Toronto. Will recommend to friends going forward"

"I had made reservations there for Valentines day after reading a few reviews online. The atmosphere was wonderful for myself and my date, as we thought it was a romantically lit dimly. I can see where others may think it would be a tad too dark. The food was fantastic also had a great selection on their wine and fun cocktails on their drink lists. Service was very accommodating as they knew we were heading to a show shortly after dinner. Also the cupcakes there are a must try for desert. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family and will most defiantly be back again."

"While it was during Winterlicious and so not their usual situation the food was all over or undercooked and cold by the time it made it to us. The waiter was inattentive and we sat with empty plates at our table for 30 minutes before someone removed them. In general we had to wait a very long time between our courses for incredibly sub par food. Would not go again."

"We loved our experience at Czehoski. We have a 4 month old and they were extremely accomodating and helpful. They provided us with a large table/bench area to fit all our baby gear and put us on the second floor which was quieter. The waiteress was extremely understanding and accomodating for our little one and the food came quickly. The food was amazing. We went for winterlicious and every dish was divine. We will definitely go again."

"The started of octopus carpaccio was the stand out winner of the night. It was easily the best thing I had all week. It was tender and the flavours were well balanced between salty/briny, tangy, and luscious with the oil. Because I was dining alone, the chef sent me an extra entree of perfectly cooked cod. I was touched, I've eaten out a lot but I've never had someone take care of me in such a way. My pot pie had a lovely crust and rich meat but my one small gripe was the spinach. While well cooked, it was too salty for me. The eton mess was a tasty and prettily presented end to a wonderful dinner."

"We went for Winterlicious. Everything was great except the pot pie was too small to be an entree size portion and the honey comb on the brownie tasted burnt and the shell for the polish taco tased stale, it could have used some warming up. Other than that all the flavour combinations were great. We especially enjoyed the octopus carpaccio and the beet fondant. Service was nice. Very romantic second floor. The spot lights could be dimmed a bit."

"The food never disappoints at this place and it has an extensive menu. It always has a lively crowd as it gets later in the night. It's quiet at around 8:00-9:30 so if you're looking for a quiet dining spot, this would be the best time to go. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable."
