Pistache French Bistro
PISTACHE is a Parisian-style French bistro with a Mediterranean twist. It serves simple, delicious meals made with fresh, local and imported products. It seats 180 people and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with large umbrellas and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

"We went to Pistache for a special occasion and really enjoyed it. The food was beyond expectations and the service was very good. I recommend getting the Crepes Suzette. We asked the waiter which dessert to get and he told us to get this because it is original in the area..."You won't find anything like it in town." Wow, was he right. Great recommendation."

"I went to this restaurant due to a recommendation. Lovely spot, nice atmosphere and the food was very good. At the height of the dinner hour during the season, it can get very busy in there, but the service did not skip a beat. Very attentive and thoughtful server. Loved our meal there."

"When in WPB we make a point of stopping by Pistache and know its better if we do an advance reservation. The place feels right for a bistro, except there's more room between tables. The design and decor are appropriate and align with the menu. Service has been consistently solid since we've beein visiting, thats before the library was demolished across the street and the sprawling lawn became the view.

"This was our second visit. The restaurant is in a lively part of town that is fun to explore.
The menu has a pretty good selection of menu items including French style Moules and Escargots etc. We had a nice Margaux with the main meal but the wine list has a good selection of wines from around the world in addition to French favorites. They serve good bread and buttter and bring more when needed.
The salads, escargots and smoked salmon appetizers were all good and the entrees did not disappoint. My filet au poivre was excellent. No takers for deserts.Our waiter was great BTW, we were a lively table and he coped with great humor and service.I would go back."

"We selected Pistache because we were seeing a play at Palm Beach Dramaworks which is around the corner from the restaurant. We were seated immediately and were given our menus to review. However, we found out that there was a Price-Fixed Pre-Theater menu for which we had to ask to see. We decided to choose from the main menu, and our meal was deliciious and generous. Our waiter was very attentive, but very busy as the restauant started filling up. Unfortunately, when we needed to obtain the check and leave for our play, our waiter was no where to be found. However, all in all, our experience was very enjoyable."

"For diners who find loud, not particularly good music a bother, avoid dining at Pistache on Thursday evenings. The bands in the park adjacent will drive you crazy, even if you take a table inside. Forget trying to dine outside! This is not Pistache's fault, of course, but they could be a bit more careful about keeping the door closed against the noise!"

"I ate here with a small group of people - 5 total. The service was great, food and selections were wonderful. Enough attention to get what you need when you need it!! clean and quaint looking with a nice view of the nearby bay.. you must try it. some of our favorites were: the mussels, the mahi-mahi, seared tuna.. nice fresh baguet to start of with and we shared the fromage (cheese) platter, very tasty cheeses."

"This was our second time dining at Pistache. Our waitress (Marlene) was not at all as accomplished as the waiter we had on our first visit. She was not up to the standard of this restaurant, seemed inexperienced, not at all French and did not make the occasion special. The food, however, was delicious! "We were visiting the West Palm area and really looking forward to trying this restaurant based on the reviews. The noise was terrible due to an event at the park across the street. The food was fair at best, and the service equally only fair. The team needs to come to Atlanta to Bistro Niko to see how French food and service should be handled in an energetic environment. I have the Coq au Vin. It was overly salty and just not tasty."

"Not bad at all, sit outside if you have the chance. The three of us all had the Mussels entre and each one was large and tender, definitely recommend. For appetizers we had the escargot and the Foie Gras with Lingonberry Sauce.....the Foie Gras was excellent and tasteful, the escargot was just ok, it was quite bland and could have used just a little more garlic, but overall, the meal, and the service was excellent.
The restaurant is a bit pricey, so be prepared, but here you do get what you pay for...good food, atmosphere and service!"

"After attending a matinee performance at a downtown West Palm Beach stage, four of us had a meal at Pistache. Arriving at 4pm, we chose to sit outside on "the porch". This is an excellent location for enjoying the day. The afternoon menu has lighter fare but is very good. Two ordered a grilled chicken with salads. My wife had the grilled pork tenderloin with Mediterranean seasonings and I had the Croque Monseur. We all enjoyed our entrees. Each meal was well prepared with moist meats, fresh salads and all seasoned well. We ordered wine by the glass. One serving had a 'musty' flavor and was happily replaced with a fresh glass. Each couple shared desert. The Creme Brulee and Breton Pudding were very good. Coffee and tea were well served."

"When my wife and I eat out there are two items we ask for (if they're on the menu), French onion soup, or calamari. In this case French onion soup. It had more onions and less cheese then I like but my wife thought it was good. Th spinach quiche (wife) and sweet potato coconut encrusted Mahi Mahi was excellent. No room for dessert. Worthy of another visit."

"We visited Pistache when they first opened, and we're very disappointed. We decided to give it another try, at a much later date, and were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were very good. The wine list is lovely. The atmosphere was casual and fun. Notable locals having brunch. The fountain at the park across the street was very lively, fun to people watch. Easy parking. I do recommend for anyone wanting good food and a fun time."

"I have never been treated so poorly. The hostess was unbelievably rude. It appears that a reservation doesn't mean anything unless you specify an exact table number or slip her some cash. Although the food was good, it couldn't make up for the service. I will never go back."
