Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom at Universal CityWalk
Share in a one-of-a-kind celebration of music and culture as Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom at Universal CityWalk takes you on a musical journey through the life of the "King of Reggae." Bob Marley’s songs of faith, hope, rebellion, and determination have brought inspiration and joy to audiences everywhere. Working closely with Rita Marley and the Bob Marley Foundation, we have created a replica of Bob's home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Inside, artifacts, photos, and video clips from his legendary career surround visitors in the open-air veranda and courtyard.
The cuisine features Jamaican-influenced appetizers, entrees and desserts. Some of the most popular items are the Oxtail Stew, the Sun is Shining grilled chicken breast marinated in Jamaican curry sauce, and the Taste of Jamaica appetizer platter featuring veggie & beef patties, mango wings and yucca fries.

"Excellent atmosphere and probably a great place for live music, although there was not any when we were there. Good selection of food and a lot of different options. Very friendly waiters and bartenders. The food was well cooked, not fit for a foodie, but very good none-the-less. You'll definitely have a great relaxing time!"

"The environment was significantly less than what I anticipated. Picnic type tables and chairs in an outdoor patio setting was not in my mind when we made reservations. The table settings were primarily plastic and the food value was low. I'll never be back."

"We had a nice warm greeting and asked for a 'nice table' as we had booked over a week ago - the table we were given was right on top of a party of about 12 - not great
Waiter was attentive to start with but after that we had to keep trying to find him
The manager came round and asked how everything was with the food before we had even received it!
The food was poor - warm at best and more or less just 'dumped' on the plates - the flavours were much better at Panda Express for a third of the cost
Very disappointing - we would recommend you stay away"

"Really looked forward to eating at Bob Marley's restaurant. Internet reviews were favorable, our waitress was terrible!! She provided very little interest in our questions and never really interacted with our table at all when serving our food or bothering to refill drinks. Food quality was very fair. I got the curry chicken with bone in and the bones were cut up into very small pieces making it a stressful meal. Unfortunately I could never recommend this restaurant based on very poor service and fair food."

"We came for my boyfriends birthday and had a wonderful time! Although our waiter was slacking a bit in getting our orders out in a timely manner and checking our drinks, the manager Anthony of the night catered to us hand and foot and really made the event special. The live music and band were fun, energetic, and sounded fantastic! We loved the open air enviance which helped to mute the music just enough so that it wasn't too loud. "We were looking forward to dinner at Bob Marley, however it was a disappointing experience.
After being seated at our table, we waited 15 minutes to be recognized by a server. We alerted the Asst. Manager who tried to take our drink orders.
He apologized profusely and brought a very attentive waitress to our table but she was covering a lot of tables that night and the service was very slow. They seemed to be short staffed. Although the food was good it wasn't what we expected. The atmosphere was fun but we heard four different versions of "Stir It Up" playing during our time there. It was a good try, but not worth our coming back again."

"It was freezing last saturday, even at 4:00 pm we were in the total shade. We had never been to this resturant at Universal and we did not realize it was all outdoors. We asked for the outdoor heater to be lit when we were seated. It was only when we were leaving they were being lit. "We just happened to be there on the evening that they were celebrating Bob Marley's birthday with a live band and an energetic crowd and I was a little nervous about staying due to the fact that I had a teenager and a pre-teen with me. We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation and they were able to sit us immediately. I could not of asked for better service or an experience. My daughter shares the same birthday as Bob Marley and eagerly shared this with our waitress. Our waitress, Danielle arranged, on her own, to have my daughter brought up on stage to have Happy Birthday played to her. Danielle went out of her way to make arrangements that were appropriate for my daughter, it was an enjoyable way to end our vacation."

"It was cooler and we were seated in the outdoor area next to the stage. The staff did light several outdoor gas heaters which made it pleasant. Service was good, food was good but not great. We had an enjoyable time with wife and 2 children 10 and 14."

"Just recently coming back from Jamaica, I was a bit disappointed in their beef patties. The chicken salad was delicious as was the pepper pot soup. I didn't like that Murphy soup spoon was plastic and my drink was in a paper coke cup. I'm a local and took friends from up north hoping to give them an experience of the Caribbean and was a little let down."

"Great atmosphere with reggae music and video playing. Food was very good, unique dishes with great taste. The service was good and welcoming. Loved the atmosphere you can sit under the roof or out in the sun, but all of it gives you a very outdoor feeling with a true feel of Jamaica. I would definatly dine here again"

"Went for a friends birthday.The oxtails were very good.I highly recommend the wings. Drink prices were average for theme park prices. The live entertainment was great! Can't wait to go again."
