"Phenomenal experience. I managed to make my way to a lot of the notable restaurants on Maui and this was the best. Their filet (which I was thrilled was grass fed Hawaiian beef only available on the island) was superbly done. Solid, well chosen wine list. The wait staff was professional, respectful and polite...not forced or gawky like Mama's Fish House, for instance. They were available just enough to help when you wanted, but not intrusive. The setting was fantastic, with the exception that our table was slightly behind the massive fold out doors opening to the pond so not everyone could see. Nonetheless, the only $500 meal night I found to be worth the ticket."

"Every time we go to Maui, we stop at Swan Court. This time was very disappointing. Although the atmosphere is still tops, the meal itself was not up to the quality that we seek. Our wait person was inattentive and didn't tell us any of the special nuances of the menu. Another waiter kept coming over to see if we were satisfied. The best part of the meal was the salad ad the dessert. The fish was not prepared well, or should we say that it w2as a bit over done. We were disappointed."

"We enjoyed the ambience but the lobster entree was not up to par. I felt the server was intrusive as he leaned on the corner of my chair. He practically sat on the armrest. The assistants under him took up the slack and made it an enjoyable evening. I specifically asked for Lobster only and was disappointed it was not served with drawn butter, I had to ask for it. They offered baked potato and it came with home fries so I had to wait for my meal again. Sorry this is not a favorable review because I came all this way for our vacation and was looking forward to a nice experience."

From arrival - water and wine list at 5 mins
wine at 10 mins
More water and bread
Main menu at 35 mins
Order at 50 mins
Starter at 70 mins
and my wife did not have a starter - more water
main entrees at 90 mins hopeless

The starter escargots in puff pastry were soggy - the Waiter did not charge
The main meal waqs unexceptional
and the wines were gold plated at $40 to $2300

Not again shall we be so disappointed"

"Extremely disappointing. I was really excited to go here after reading the menu and having dinner at Japengo, the other restaurant in the Hyatt, which was excellent. From the start the service was off. Our server came over and said he assumed someone else on the staff already got us drinks; nobody had. The server offered smaller portions of all the salads and when my wife just ordered a salad he insisted on giving her a smaller one. It wasn't a terrible idea but just seemed odd. Next our food came immediately after our apps like they were in a rush to get us out even though the place was mostly empty. We planned to get a half bottle of red wine with our meal but never saw the server again until the bill came. We just left instead."
