"My family took me to Soigne for Father's Day brunch. We live in the neighborhood and have been coming to this restaurant for five years. Brunch here was a first for us and we were not disappointed. The bacon and eggs came with a mountain of bacon and the buttermilk fried chicken and waffle was terrific. I had one of Johnny's signature Bloody Mary's which is a must try - great flavor!"

"That's the meaning of the name of this restaurant in French and indeed it is. Every dish exploded with flavors that delighted but did not overwhelm. Lovely service, elegant but relaxed atmosphere. Going again right away!"

"For a local Park Slope restaurant the sound level is exceptionally wonderful and one is able to have conversations without deafening noise that create the need to talk in a raised voice. The food was quite good and the menu quite varied. The four of us managed to eat fowl, fish, seafood and venison and we were all pleased. Service is polite and leisurely. A real neighborhood find and rarely ever crowded. We have had brunch outside which was relaxing and dinner inside which was fine as well."

"I have visited Soigne four times in the last few months and it is my new favorite restaurant. The food is spectacular. The drinks incredible. The atmosphere friendly and relaxed. The service spectacular.
From our 13-year-old (the chocolate cookies at the end and the crab cakes) to our finicky 18-year-old (this is the best burger I have had in my entire life), Soigne satisfies. I had the scallops--divine.
There's not one thing that I have eaten at the restaurant that's not simply delectable. Yum, yum, yum!"

"Food is out of sight, ambience is really not. I hope they never figure it out, because then it won't be as easy to get a table, and the food is awesome."

"I love Soigne! Chef's Tasting menu is yummy, generous, and reasonably priced. The wine pairing is a great deal as well and again, the pour is generous. This is a great date night place and most nights of the week, it is surprisingly quiet and rarely crowded. Definitely not a great place for kids unless you do an early dinner; this place has a very "grown up" feel. Our last outing was on a Friday which is why I rated the noise level as moderate; it's usually very very quiet. I didn't mark it as such, but this would be a great place for a group dinner for a special occasion, just be sure to plan in advance."

"This was our 2nd time at Soigne and now I won't go back. We went during "Dine-In-Brooklyn" week. We made a reservation, but our table wasn't ready until 30 min later. We ended up sitting at the bar. The food was good (potato soup was great, risotto was okay, ricotta cheesecake was not good). Just as the meal got progressively worse, so did the night. The server messed up our bill twice, first bc of the drinks we got pre-dinner and second because we got charged for a bottle of wine that we didn't order (were they trying to slip something past us?). Then he went to get the chef from the kitchen who acted like an a-hole. The whole ordeal with the bill took an extra 20+ min, and they did not apologize or take anything off of our bill."

"My husband and I had a delightful dinner at Soigne. The appetizer, entree and dessert we ordered were very good. A lovely touch-the restaurant served a 'pre-appetizer' of gougeres and a delightful onion tart, and a 'post dessert' of salted chocolate caramel cookies."

"I was looking for a new brunch location and happened on Soigne. It was nice & quiet ~1pm for brunch and they had an excellent selection of brunch items as well as drinks. Definitely will be returning."

"There was a couple celebrating a birthday at the next table and they appear to have hired a violinist to play for them. She was lovely and it was very sweet, but we couldn't hear each other and have conversation. The food was uneven, and the service was good, but flawed. Everything took a very long time. My husband's short ribs were plentiful, but had an off taste. My scallops, which were described as "medium rare," were cold and raw. Good quality, but minimally seared raw scallops are not delicious. The waitress brought my husband the wrong dessert, but didn't realize until he'd tasted it. She took the plate away and by the time the correct one arrived, everyone else was long done. Clumsy, ungenerous."

"Soigné has gone through many iterations. This is by far the one to stay with. The chef is creative and skilled. Offers for the table -- vichyssoise in a tiny cup and cougeres -- were rich and delicious. Had mini crab cakes and pear/goat cheese salad to share -- both tasty and beautifully served. But, the piece de resistance was the tuna medallions on a potato cake with shredded veggies! We ordered it rare and it was perfect!! The plate looked as if it had three towers of red tuna and, wow, were they perfectly cooked and delicious. The wine list is interesting. It's unusual for a small local restaurant to have as many local, North and South Fork wines as they do. Although there were less expensive selections, we chose the Bedell blend and"

"My girlfriend and I went here for valentines day and it was fantastic. Romantic and great food. My girlfriend had the pear salad and the mushroom risotto. I had a steak and pork, cooked to perfection. I'm definitely going back."

"We had a table in the far left corner by wait staff station where they brought dishes, got clean silverware, napkins, etc. This area needs to be hidden way more than it is, or the table we were seated at needs to be removed. The food was outstanding, but the pleasure of the evening was marred by the constant hustle and bustle at this station. For the price of the food it is unacceptable to seat anyone that close to an area filled with dishes, glasses, silverware and where the waitstaff congregates."
