Enoteca Sociale is a real Italian Wine-Bar in the west end of Toronto. Sociale brings the concept of the Italian Enoteca to Toronto. Our value driven wine list focuses on hidden gems from various regions of Italy plus some of Ontario’s finest. We are proud to offer 80 wines under $80, available in tasting sizes thanks to our Enomatic system. Chef Rocco Agostino’s menu features daily house made pasta with inspiration from classic Roman cuisine and local seasonal ingredients. Our very own cheese cave houses a selection of Ontario and Italian cheese. Simple, Honest and Natural.

"My mom and I went to Enoteca Sociale for mother's & shared 3 appetizers (asparagus salad, a mushroom dish and tuna steaks) + one substantial main course (14 oz steak). The salad was delicious and the tuna steaks nice but salty. The meat of the main course was super, but it was on a bed of spinach that was on the salty side. I had the salt issue at Silver Spoon, too ... could be the owner is just more of a salt lover than I am. Overall, tho, the food was really nice ... our total was $120 including 3 glasses of wine (which were moderately priced as a 'mothers day' special). We had more than enough to eat with 3 appetizers and a main, although I suppose if you are with a burly group you might want more than 7 oz of steak per person."

The Waitress was amazing. She explained everything without making us feel silly for not knowing what was on the menu before we got there.
The person who called the night before we went asked if we had any requests, and I said I would prefer not to sit right be the door. This request wasn't essential but it was not adhered to. We still had a great time regardless but that was perplexing."

"Great restaurant. If you're okay with paying a little bit more than what you'd pay at Terroni, be prepared for some simple but very flavourful pasta. All the pasta is made in house (save for one that is listed as dried in Italy) and have wine pairings listed with each dish. The gnocchi is like mini pillows that melt in your mouth and the rabbit rigatoni is not as heavy as you think it might be but has that wild taste which at the same time is mild with the lightly sauced pasta. A little farther west than most other restaurants and on Dundas too so catch a streetcar and make your way over. Patio is also charming."

"I love trying restaurants out and Enoteca Sociale has been on my must-try list ever since I heard the Libretto team was branching out.
We tried a handful of their pasta dishes and a few things stood out, besides the food.
They accommodated all of our potentially annoying requests. We were a table of vegetarians, we brought an extra guest...a toddler. We even ordered an extra dish midway through our meal and they handled each one without hesitation or frustration. It made us feel incredibly welcome and added to our experience.

"I can't pinpoint why I wasn't truly satisfied, but it was fantastic house made pasta. Our server was very helpful with the ingredients that were translated into Italian and romanced the dish very well. They should add a bit more dessert choices though! We enjoyed our meal and the ambiance, however our server seemed to have gone missing for quite a while and had to get another server's attention for the dessert menu as well as the bill. Other than that minor setback, it was a very good experience!"

"Overall had a great experience at Enoteca Sociale. I took a friend there for his birthday. I ordered the papardelle with lamb ragu. It was good, but a little dry, and would have liked a little more lamb/sauce in the dish. However, the wine we chose was excellent. The service was friendly and helpful. I asked our server some questions about his take on the food and wine. Even, the manager gave a good recommendation on what bottle of wine to order. My latte was delicious too. I would say 4 out of 5....It would have been 5 if my pasta dish was a little better. I would definitely go back though."

"I had been looking forward to going to this restaurant for some time and was not disappointed.
I made reservations for 8pm on family day but arrived 25min early. They were able to seat us anyway which was great.
My date and I shared the lamb crudo, which was very good. I highly recommend it.
We also shared the lamb ragu and shared a sea bream special that was offered that day.

"Enoteca was a great place to dine for a special meal, service was outstanding! We really appreciated the respectful attentiveness of staff without them being intrusive. "Fantastic dinning experience for two! Highly recommend it - the service was tip top, food was delicious (try the carpaccio!!) and the wine recommendation (by David) was actually good and not just some guess out of the blue.
So happy that they were also able to accomodate such a late dinner!"

"Very much loved little restaurant, a real gem in Toronto's excellent landscape of wonderful restaurants. Enoteca deserves the many aficionados who return frequently and make it still difficult to get a table at times. Great spot. Only concern is that the closeness of the tables makes any discussion one does not want others to listen to quite impossible."

"I found the restaurant service and overall experience to be excellent. The wine was great and the food pairings were perfect. The restaurant has a dark yet warm and inviting atmosphere which is a wonderful setting for a semi-casual date or dinner with close friends/family.
The one negative was the gnocchi dish I was served. The gnocchi had the consistency and texture of raw cookie dough; very mushy and sticky. However, the sauce it came with was exceptionally tasty. My date thoroughly enjoyed her dish and wine. We both loved the dessert.
I will definitely dine at this restaurant again. Dinner for 2 with wine and dessert, including tax and tip was around $110-120."
