"This was our first time at terra. We went for the Tuesday night special of all you can eat mussels. They came with French fries also. The cost was $18. I found it was delicious. The service was good as well as the food. I would definitly go back."

"Found this location on Yelp* when looking for a local French restaurant to take my mother for her 65th birthday. I'm not local, was flying in for a surprise meal, and ended up selecting Terra. Calling this a French restaurant is a bit of a stretch, although there are certainly French items on the menu. Smaller restaurant with very little atmosphere on a Tuesday night. Service was top notch and food was very good, although I think at the end of the day all my party ordered more of an Italian meal than a French meal. A bit pricey for what you get, but I can't complain at all about the food quality or service. The atmosphere is what leaves you feeling that the outing was just a bit off the mark."

"We love Terra for a quiet date night or out with friends when we actually want to hear the conversation! The food is FABULOUS, and the service is, if possible, even better than that. The staff remembers you and is so gracious. The standard menu has lots to offer, but we never miss hearing the specials."

"We had a nice visit to Terra, and enjoyed fish and risotto. This was our second time to Terra, and will definitely return. Only minor complaint was that it was quite chilly in the restaurant, but the experience with worth it."

"Our first visit and certainly not our last. Each dish was done to the perfect combination of light and flavorful. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about both the dishes and the wine list. The service was the best I've experienced in Charlotte. (By the way, the wine list on this site shows only the bottles, but they do offer a wonderful selection by the glass also.)"

"I was hoping after dining at Terra for the first time and for a special occasion we would have rave reviews but unfortunately we do not. There are not many french-inspired restaurants in Charlotte so we thought this one might stand out among the rest. The mussels as part of the appetizer were delicious but the frites were just american french fries (I say this based on time in europe). Our main courses were not full of flavor and were just ok. I was really disappointed because I wanted to take him to a restaurant that was above all the rest. At the end of the night we both decided that we could have gone to one of our favorite restaurants had an awesome meal and only spent a third of what we did at Terra."

"My boyfriend and I went here for our Valentine's dinner. The food was absolutely delicious (we even got brave and tried the escargot!!) and staff was very friendly. The restaurant isn't very big and parking isn't all that great, but it was worth it. It was busy, but not annoyingly crowded. Be ready to spend some money, but as I said, you get what you pay for."

"We realized that we'd eaten at & forgotten Terra when we arrived for a Valentine's Day dinner. The surprise second meal didn't change our apparent conclusions about the first. The dining room is strip mall drab with low ceilings that amplified the holiday hubbub. Menu was limited & not particularly interesting. Salad of grilled romaine was the (minor) highlight for me. My main course of fruits de mer w/ pappardelle pasta was too peppery & sauced. They had only one type of pasta & couldn't offer any substitute. Same with the garlic mashed potatoes with the osso bucco. This latter dish was passable but not extraordinary. In all we remembered why we'd forgotten Terra in the first place."

"Terra Restaurant is a pleasant, French-themed spot for foodies and romantics who don't mind spending a little money. We have twice asked the house for a "tasting menu," the first time with paired wines, the second time allowing Terry, the owner, to recommend appropriate accompaniments. The noise level is low, and it is easy to have an intimate, well-flavored meal here. Do expect to spend close to $100 per person, though - at least with the tasting menu."

"Enjoyed our dinner very much this past Saturday night. My friends had the veal scaloppini (loved it) and I had the seafood pasta. Also, the soup dejour was tomato bisque and it was wonderful too. Love the French Chablis I picked."
