"Staff was excellent and very helpful. It was a business lunch so we were able to talk and could hear each other. We each had salads and were very pleased and plenty to eat.......our waiter was great! We will be back!"

"This is one of my favorite places for a private business lunch. The food is consistently very good and the servers know how to meet your needs without being invasive. They know when to appear and disappear. You and your colleagues can hear yourselves speak despite the activity of the surrounding tables."

"Service was not as " formal" as i expected from the price structure, as was the food. The food was average to above average, but not great. Hence the overpriced remark. Other high- end steakhouses are a better overall deal. I may or may not return.. Jim"

"Usually a "spot on" restaurant, but this lunch was a little "off" for our table. Our waiter was a little flustered and messed up our order, however, he was quick to correct the issue and served the table well."

"It's so hard to find a good steak cooked by people who know how to cook them. I'm a rare, Pittsburgh kinda guy... And the Kansas City strip I had was perfect. It was kinda slow, which was nice for us... I could see it being much louder when busy. Service was impeccable. Will definitely be back."

"When I made this reservation I had no expectations. We began our anniversary dinner with a seafood medley of shrimp, scallop, and crab cake. This $16 app was fine but not worth $16. My wife had the crabmeat stuffed trout and it curiously had the skin on both sides when served. After pulling off the top layer it was not much to look at. I had the ribeye served with a broccoli spear. The broccoli was steamed but nothing was added. The steak was fine in flavor but I don't believe this was a prime cut. Not as expensive as Del's but WAY below in quality. Key lime pie was great. Our anniversary was never acknowledged. I wasn't looking for anything free but I do know an open table reservation let them know it was an occasion. Nothing!"

"Waiter was generally good with his service and attentive, but likely inserted himself into the conversation or made comments that could have been taken the wrong way. I have an easy going nature so it didn't bother me, but i can see that it could come across wrong to others."

"I liked the ambience, however, our waiter wouldn't look directly at us when he was telling us the menus, very strange. Also, evidently they gave our drink to some at the table next to us and literally 3 minutes later, they took it off the table and gave it to us. No way were we going to drink it. Also, they asked us if we had drinken our drink that evidently was for someone else.
Great menu, lot's to choose from and our cobb salad was great."

"We must have caught them on an off night. My steak was tough and not very flavorful. When you spen $40 for a steak, you want to enjoy it. they have great lobster bisque."

"I hosted a dinner for some clients while I was attending a conference at the Westin attached to the Galleria in Dallas. I couldn't have been happier with my choice of restaurants for this dinner. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. At the recommendation of our server, 3 out of 5 guests selected the double cut pork chop cooked to the chefs recommended temperature and it was the best cut of pork that I ever had. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong by choosing to dine at The Grill on the Alley."

"Food was very good considering the price. I expect a little more when the restaurant is in this price range so I did not rate it outstanding. Service was outstanding and we were well attended to."

"The food was terrible and the management staff had no idea what to do when everyone sent their food back. The only thing missing with my stead was a side of fried eggs and I would have felt like I was at Denny's for breakfast."

"My wife and I had an amazing experience. We both ordered the filet and they brought the wrong size for my wife. The waitress, manager and head chef all came out to apologize for bringing out the wrong order. They brought back the correct size steak which was outstanding and paid for our whole meal. Drinks and all. Awesome experience."

"For the price, I was disappointed with the NY Steak I ordered. Although it was tender and cooked as ordered, it seriously lacked taste. I’ve had much tastier NY Steaks in Dallas and elsewhere (NY, NJ) for a more reasonable price. I will not go back."

"We had an excellent Valentine's Day dinner, I ordered filet Oscar which was great. My wife had the chicken pot pie, her usual, it's very good, but too big to finish. We had a great chocolate cake, but it was so big we took half of it home. The service was excellent, it usually is when we eat here. My only issue is the valet parking, too slow. The Grill isn't Fearing's or FT33, but for us it is reliable and a nice setting."

"My husband has been to the Grille many times for lunch, but this was my first experience. The food was awful, especially factoring in price. My filet mignon was overcooked and dry (I ordered it medium rare) and my broccoli had absolutely no seasoning - just a stick of broccoli. My husband's food was better but not great, and his side plates were just the opposite of mine - his were drenching with butter and totally unhealthy and untasty. Really awful food.
I review quite a number of restaurants and hotels and am generally quite favorable, so this is not a review coming from a negative person."
