Joe's Bar & Grill
Located above the Wailea Tennis Center, Joes has panoramic ocean views on one side and vistas of Haleakala on the other. Internationally acclaimed Chef Bev Gannon masterminds the menu, while husband Joe Gannon is credited with the theatrical lighting and inspiration of this popular dining spot.
Wonderful comfort food, with a gourmet streak such as slow roasted prime rib, with mashed potatoes, our BBQ ribs, and Joes favorite meatloaf. Fresh local fish is also offered nightly including appetizers such as the ahi carpaccio and calamari. Don't forget about the "World famous crab dip"! The Seafood Pot Pie with fresh fish, shrimp and scallops is another favorite.
Children are welcome, offering a fun kids menu and special drinks like the green gecko.
One of Wailea's best Mai Tai's, crazy martinis, and and exceptional wine list from well known producers as well as smaller boutique wineries.

"We loved it and are hoping to return before we leave Maui. I had the meatloaf which was fabulous. Not your mama's meatloaf, either. The sauce on this meatloaf is soooo good! Hubby had the prime rib and told me it is the best he has tasted in a long time. We took a piece of chocolate macadamia nut pie back to our room because we were stuffed and ate it the next night. It was outstanding. Our server, whose name was Jed, I think, was the best! What a friendly, relaxing place to dine. Love the decor. Louis (or maybe Lewis) picked us up and dropped us off at our car and we appreciated the golf cart ride cuz we were not sure where we were headed at first. All in all, a wonderful meal. Cannot wait to return."

"The food was not worth the price charged. I ordered the meat loaf, was to sweet, my husband had the only steak offered the new York. The jam you in like sardines, will not be going back. Sad as it use to be one of our favorite spots...Crab dip was awful too, did not see one bit of crab in it."

"While this is a Bev Gannon restaurant, it was not up to the food standard we have come to expect. The salads were good, very tasty. The kitchen was very accommodating and prepared the fresh catch for me, but the fish was overcooked and dry. The duck was kind of tough, the carrots were underdone, and so overall just okay on entrees. The chocolate bread pudding for desert was very good. So, my review is mixed. We would go again and hope this was an off night."

"Recently, went to Joe's to celebrate the end of our lovely holiday in Wailea. If you are a vegetarian, it is best to avoid Joe's as they basically have 2 dishes. One a simple pasta dish and the other 3, variations of a slab of tofu - awful! The sides of the tofu dish were so salty could hardly eat those either. Really enjoyed my starter though, beet salad with goat cheese. The drinks are overpriced and the waiters are pushy. The only bonus was the magnificent sunset we watched from our table - absolutely stunning. Will not be going to Joe's again. Try Manoli's just across the way instead."

"Great place to go and have a fun meal with the kids. Laid-back vibe with red lighting and smiling waiters. Best mai-tai I've ever had (not overly sweet and I could definitely taste the rum!). "After hearing people at the pool raving about Joes, we decided to give it a try. Very impressed! The location is interesting. We had the calamari and shrimp bruschetta to start. Followed by the beet salad and the wedge. For dinner we had the chicken and waffles and the pork Milanese. Everything was amazing! We were stuffed and still had leftovers. Versus other places in Wailea were you still leave hungry. Joes definitely knows how to give the portions for the price you pay! We will be back and definitely recommend."

"Nice but not great. Very narrow menu offerings and more expensive than it should be. Ordered the Ahi seared and it was overcooked, nearly cooked all the way through. "We really enjoyed our time here. The food was good. I had the jambalaya, which was very good apart from having too much sauce or alternatively, not enough rice to soak the sauce up! My wife had the ahi tuna which was delicious, done exactly right. Desserts are definitely for sharing. The only two slightly negative things I can say is that it was quite noisy and the sauvignon blanc/pinot grigio white wine choices are limited. Apart from that, it was good and we will go back."

"We went to Joe's at the last minute and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. It was a little more upscale than we expected from a place called Joe's Bar in the clubhouse of a tennis club. The food and service were outstanding. I had the BBQ ribs and my wife had the daily catch. Both were well prepared. Two cocktails, an app, two entrees, and two desserts were $128 before the tip. We've spent more at other restaurants that weren't this good.
Unexpected and very good. We'll go back again before the week is over."

"We went here thinking it would be a low-key, casual burger kind of place. While you can get a burger and I'm sure it would be outstanding, with all the other amazing choices I don't know why you would. I had the fish special which was out of this world and my husband had the lamb which he was very happy with. Portion sizes are normal which is a nice change and their focus on quality is apparent. It was a bit of an older crowd when we were there - not the young, hip vibe of Monkeypod - but I would highly, highly recommend this place. Best meal we had while on Maui!"

"Tucked away downhill by the Wailea Tennis Courts (park uphill across the street and let the golf cart shuttle take you to the door) this is another Gannon owned restaurant. A few tables have views out to the water, but trees and terrain prohibit anything that I would call scenic in the context of Maui views. Still, a good place for a quick lunch when you are burned out from all the fancy food and airs at the resort restaurants. You might even get to watch a decent tennis game or two."

"We love Joe's. It has a good Hawaiian location, near and above tennis courts on the hillside of Wailea. You can get anything from meat loaf to super fish dishes. "A local friend recommended Joe's Bar and Grill and we ended up having dinner there twice during our week in Maui. For starters, two salads stood out: the iceberg wedge and the Greek salad with shrimp. Our group enjoyed several of the entrees, including the fresh catch of the day and the barbecued ribs. The ribs were some of the best we have ever had. The french fries served with them were addictive. Service was very friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable. The view of the Maui sunset is a plus. We will return to Joe's on our next visit to Wailea."

"This place was amazing! A little hard to find but a hidden gem for sure! We were picked up by their complimentary shuttle ( oversized golf cart) which took us to the restaurant that's in a separate location from the parking lot. We were greeted by a friendly hostess that gave us a beautiful table! The wine list is packed with great selection and reasonably priced. We had the calamari and clams appetizer followed by salads and our entrees which were the chicken &waffles and the fish special. Everything was to die for and cooked to perfection! Our server was kind and attentive but not smothering. We really got a "at home" friendly family vibe from the staff. We will definitely return!!"

"A little hard to find: park in either of the top lots & if you want to walk, angle your way down the hill to the northwest. If you order the decadent choc bread pudding for dessert you'll need to wait for the golf cart to haul you back up again! We arrived just in time to look across the tennis courts & see a gorgeous sunset. Service was outstanding & welcoming. Wine list was interesting with a couple of by-the-glass wines you don't normally see. Ahi carpaccio appetizer and goat cheese salad: excellent. Hubby ordered Parmesan crusted pork which was a little disappointing. He was expecting a chop but it was a cutlet. We checked the menu and it didn't say either, so we should have asked. The basil sherry sauce was a little too sweet."
