"I really enjoyed POP Champagne Bar. A friend and I went there on a coupon from Travel Zoo. I had see it before online, so this was a great opportunity to try it out. The coupon included a flight of champagne or wine and a cheese tray. Our waiter Spencer was very helpful in choosing our wine and cheese. Told us the back ground of my champagne flight and my friend's reds. We ordered some additional small plates and were not disappointed. The only one negative was when we ordered a full glass of wine, we were not able to taste it beforehand. We went with the waiter's recommendation (really, the bartender I think) and were disappointed.
I would definitely go back and also recommend it to friends."

"We decided to try this place because others had mentioned it. The appetizers were good but the rest of the food was just ok. We also ordered two different sets of wine flights for tasting. One set was good, but the other barely had enough for a sip in the glass, and having ordered two, we were able to see the inconsistency with the portions. For the little amount of food we had, the tab was over $100 and definitely not worth it. We can get better bang for the buck somewhere else."

"Great champagne selections...it was fun trying flights! Location's great for a downtown pasadena evening . decor was very cute. Food was just OK .....at best. My friend and i split 6 appetizers.....none were memorable. We tired the tapanade...too salty served with the wrong chips, burratta and mozzerella had too much pesto on it, asian sliders had lot of fat in them, deviled eggs were OK, popcorn chicken was great! Total bill was $188 for two...with two champagne flights and one individual glass of champagne..appetizers were at happy hour prices! Not a great Value !
Desert was fabulous! We tried both the apple crisp and the white chocolate soufflé.
I would recommend this place only for chamagne and deserts...skip the food!"

"I cannot rave about this place enough! My group came in for a bachelorette dinner , so it was a larger group of needy females, and everything came out perfectly. Our server was attentive without being overwhelming, and made the bachelorette, my sister, feel like a queen. Our glasses were never empty and the table always had a new course of food, both excellently timed. The decor is gorgeous and the ambiance is nothing less than ideal. If you're looking for a great start for a night out in Pasadena, I highly recommend POP champagne and dessert bar!"

"Been there a couple of times now and while I love the concept, it's just not what you expect to see for the hype and price.
The desserts are interesting on paper, but the flavors end up coming out bland or washed out from a dominant flavor (e.g. chocolate overpowers everything which is fine if you are running a shop called Max Brenner's).
The main issue here is that the service is so-so, the atmosphere is pretty loud, and the portions are small... but the PRICE is HIGH.
I think you might find better results at Mi Piace, or (gasp) Cheesecake Factory."

"This restaurant/bar has it all -- fantastic food, a great selection of alcohol choices, top notch service, and great ambience. My sister and I ordered the deviled eggs, wild mushroom with goat cheese bruschetta, brie toast with chardonnay soaked raisins, and cookies and cream dessert. They were all spectacular, just perfect. We also ordered a mimosa, bellini made with real peach puree, almond joy, and sparking hibiscus. They were all delicious. All the food and drink in this restaurant feels like it is made by hand, with love, and great care. They were all divine. You simply must try this restaurant/bar. I will definitely be back."

"It's great to find a wine bar that specializes in sparkling wine. I prefer red wine, but my wife is not much of a drinker, but enjoys sparkling wine, so this was a place both of us could enjoy. I loved the deviled eggs and mushroom bruschetta. If the other desserts were as good as the scoop of ice cream with chocolate sauce I had, I'll have to come back for more. I also like the large happy hour menu, and the fact that it lasts until 7pm. My daughter turns 21 next August, so I'm planning on bringing her to Pop to celebrate."

I was looking for a light meal with drinks so I had the soup and a starter salad. The minestrone soup was decent, but not on par with the quality of their other menu items. I was also a bit disappointed with the starter salad, which had a bit too much dressing.
My friend and I both ordered different flights, and all of the wines were great. She had a salmon salad that surely tasted as amazing as it looked. She loved it.
We finished our meal with the souffle du jour which was Wonderful!! Blueberry Banana with Caramel Anglaise = heavenly!
Then, to our surprise, we were presented with a complimentary sample of new ice cream & sorbet flavors! A nice finish to it all. :)"

I and 3 other girlfriends went for happy hour from 5-7p and took advantage of drinks and appetizers at a great value. "The atmosphere was fun and the food was really good but the service was awful. We were there from 6-9 and the waiter stopped by our table about 4 times total. My boyfriend is supposed to take me on a date there next month but I asked him to find another resultant. The band was really good though, and I really enjoyed the drinks."

"Our waiter was amazing and explanied everything in detail. We used a bloomspot deal which was great because normally this restaurant can be pretty pricey. The food was good, not exceptional, but the drinks and dessert made up for it."

"We might go back for the happy hour specials but probably not. It took our waiter approximately 15 minutes to come to our table and another 15 to get us our first drink. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either. Even though my husband and I are small people we felt like that chairs were too small (perhaps to accommodate 4 chairs at a small table)and uncomfortable.
It is a strange place."

"It was a very nice resturannt. MY first time goinng there and it was for soMeone's birthday. Someone very special to me. I requested a window seat withh curtains buut didn't get it. The hostess waas very Snobby and she did not feel like workinng. However our waitress monqiue was so patient AnD nice. She knew it was our first time there, so she helped us and let us know what she recomendS"

"Went there for Dine LA and loved it! Great value for the 3 course menu! All the food was delicious! Our server was really nice and helpful. The only thing that turned us off was how rude the hostess was and that she sat us in the last table in the back by the kitchen… We asked to change since we saw other tables available and she said that they people had reserved those specific tables and this one was that only one available. We were a bit bummed with the start of dinner, but at least the food was great! Will go back, just hope there is a different hostess that can at least smile and greet you!"

"This was a great place to share in a special occassion with friends- the ambiance was and location were energetic. We happened to come in during DineLA restaurant week and thus found plenty of menu options to choose from. Sadly, the food was ho-hum. I had the sliders and fries. Fries were limp, and burgers were underwhelming. Being that dessert and champagne are the main attractions at this establishment, I would recommend adherence with ordering just that. I might add that I'm not sure what is up with using empty wine and champagne bottles for decor. I myself am a green-conscious person but there are better ways to recycle old bottles."

"We went for dinela. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive to our needs. The only thing I have to criticize is the hostess who continued to play on her phone even though she saw us walking towards her and didn't put it down to greet us until I told her we had reservations. Although she warmed up after a few minutes after directing us to our table, her attitude made us feel as if we were a bother"

"Our first time at POP Champagne & Dessert Bar. We dine in and around Pasadena a lot and wanted to try something different for us. I chose POP because they have Souffles for dessert and Sara loves Souffle. Unfortunately, their oven had been acting up and they were not attempting Souffles. We liked the appetizers and other dishes we had, They were very tasty. But service was a little spotty for a Tuesday night, we think they are understaffed a bit. Overall a pleasant experience and we will try again for Souffle."

"My family and I went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food, service and drinks were very good. A fun place to visit and enjoy an evening. The atmosphere is relaxing. Our waiter Steve was very attentive. We had a great time and experience. I definitely would reccommend this place to anyone.

"I went here for my birthday dinner and loved it. I'm normally not a big champagne drinker but since they are known for their champagne I tried a glass. It was the best champagne I've ever had, perfectly chilled and so flavorful. The meal was excellent and so were the desserts. I recommend the profiteroles. So good. I would definitely go back."

"I felt that the hostesses weren't fit for their job. As we walked in, we were not greeted because they were having a conversation with another employee. Neither of them said "hi welcome or how are you?" Server was excellent, food was good, kitchen was extremely slow."
