Olio Pizza e Più is an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and restaurant located in the heart of the West Village, by award winning Pizza Master, Giulio Adriani.
Giulio Adriani arrived in New York from Italy, eager to present his own style of Neapolitan pizza to New Yorkers who are mad for the stuff. Adriani learned the art of making traditional Neapolitan pizza from two of the greatest pizza masters in Italy, Gaetano Fazio and Antonio Starita. He is double certified as an authentic Neapolitan Pizza Maker by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana and the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, organizations for certification of authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Adriani states that each pizzaiolo has their own signature, partly found in their own interpretation of the "dough point", the point at which kneading the dough ceases. Giulio finds his dough point sooner than most, kneading his dough less-- which results in a lighter, fluffier, more digestible crust.
"I booked this for a larger mother's day reservation that included kids. The ambiance is really nice with sky lights, large doors leading outside and lots of flowers. The food both pizza and other brunch items was delicious and will certainly keep this in mind for future lunches and dinners."

"Our group of six enjoyed our dinner at Olio. Typical Italian food that was well prepared and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. We had to laugh at the over-confident server, who was very cavalier in taking the orders and then managed to deliver most of the dishes to the wrong person. Otherwise, it was a pleasant evening."

"The food was excellent, but the hostess was not very welcoming and sat us at one of the worst spots in the restaurant. The bar gets crowded and there is very little room to accomodate those people since the tables stick out so far into the bar. Our waiter was wonderful and the food was really good."

"Our afternoon plans didn't work out and when it began to rain, we found ourselves with 3 hours to kill before an evening concert during the week. Staff were most welcoming and made us feel very comfortable at a window table with wine and appetizers until it was time to order dinner. The calamari was excellent and I had a Pasta with Short Ribs dish and my husband had the chicken breast. A very relaxing rainy afternoon and another really good meal."

"I went with my wife and two kids (10 & 8), and we enjoyed ourselves. The waiter was new and didn't know anything about their wines or even if they had the Merlot I ordered by the glass (the menu said they did, but he didn't know). Caesar salad was overpowered with olives and too mich dressing. But the pizza was good and my wife enjoyed the sea bass."

"Went with some friends and everything we had was great. The calamari was crisp and the salmon was delicious. Definitely would recommend this place. We had an 8pm but were seated at 825. Granted we arrived 10 after. It's hopping but you need to make a reservation otherwise be prepared to wait."

"This was my first time dining at Olio Pizza e Piu and I must say it was a good one! The atmosphere of the restaurant gave you the feeling as if you were in a restaurant in Tuscany. Their insalata di pera was excellent, very sweet and savory. I also enjoyed their Nostrana pizza which consisted of ricotta, prosciutto and truffle oil. One thing I really liked about this restaurant was that they were open 24hours! Now if I am in the neighborhood and want a bite to eat I know just where to go!"

"We made reservations for Saturday night. We were a group if 14. When we arrived, on time, the place was packed and they were not ready for us. After waiting in the cramped entry way, they arranged several tables together for us and we sat down. They were eager to please but the service was very slow. It took time to order drinks and then we waited to get the drinks and the same with the food. The entrees came out all at different times. In three different stages. Several people finished eating before my entree even arrived. The place has a fun vibe and the food was really great (I love that they have a gluten free option to their menu) but they need to staff for a busy Sat night and be ready for big parties!"

"I had ordered the gnocci and found that it was cooked to perfection -- the sauce wasn't overpowering, but enough flavor to coat it. It would have been better, I think, if the cheese serve with the gnocci was melted. The cheese was cut in medium size cubes, making it difficult to portion it equally for every bite.
Not much variety for drinks. Should offer more mainland variety drinks, tea and coffee to round out the Italian flavor to the entire course. Since I don't drink alcohol, I found the choices in beverages was scarce.
Bread could have been heated as well and wrapped in a cloth napkin - the bread didn't seem rustic or homemade.
Great, attentive staff. Kind mannered. Great ambiance to the restaurant - very charming!"

"Interesting menu of uncommon dishes. My partner had the Lamb Ragu with Ricotta. Smallish portion but delicious, tender flavor over shells of some kind. I had a Margherita pizza which was a little different from others I've had but I enjoyed it. Excellent light crust. Italian waiter who has been in NYC only a couple of months was a joy. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive without being instrusive. We happily whiled away an extra hour or so before we were due at our event. It was too cold to wander the streets. Enjoyable meal at a favorite place."

"The pizza is overall quite good. The crust was excellent. The amount of cheese just right. The sauce a little on the bland side. Service was friendly, attentive and excellent. I liked the rustic ambiance."

"I have passed Olio's many times on the street, and it seemed like such a cozy upscale place, next to a flower shop and near a church. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new for our anniversary, so we gave Olio's a go. We loved it instantly. The food was amazing, the waiters were professional, knowledgeable, and personable. And for what we got and for how insanely delicious it was, the prices were extremely fair. It can get a wee bit crowded and loud, but for me that added to the experience. Olio's is very special spot for me, and it definitely makes for a special night out."
