Shiok! Singapore Kitchen offers a selection of authentic Singaporean food in a casual and friendly environment. We hope you will enjoy our home-cooked flavors and find it a Shiok experience too.
Singapore is a multi-ethnic society made up of Chinese, Malay, and Indian, whose immigrant forefathers brought with them rich food traditions from across Asia.
Typical Singaporean food is thus an exciting blend of culinary heritage based on some of Asia's greatest cuisine. This combination creates a unique and dynamic flavor more lively and far richer than the traditions from which they stem.
"Absolutely wonderful food. We had the special which gave us six items: appetizer, salad, 3 different entrees and dessert! for $27 a piece! It was such a treat, we ordered a take out dish the next evening. It will become a regular event in our dining out!"

"With just a little extra effort, this could be a neighborhood gem. Little problems with each dish: the Beef Rendang was made with cheap dry meat; the Chicken Satay was overcooked; the lettuce cups were flavorless and had an inelegant peanut sauce that tasted like Reese's Pieces. But spice was good and flavora, when present, were well balanced. Our waiter was the bright spot in the experience. Very gracious. Made us feel like a guest at his dinner party. Excellent customer service from him."

"Went there around 6pm on a Friday. It was still a bit slow but by 7pm, it was getting full. We had small kids and other tables had kids too. Food came promptly. Portions were a bit smaller than we expected for the prices and considering they said the dishes were meant to be shared family-style. Overall, taste was good, especially the Shioking Beef. But we specifically asked for the green beans dish to not be spicy since it was being ordered for little kids, and we were assured that the vegetarian version we were ordering was only going to be flavored with soy sauce, but it still came fairly spicy with red peppers. Clay pot rice dish was good but not really clay pot...just rice with toppings simulating as if it was done in clay pot."

"The roasted eggplant got a 10, duck with noodles a 8, curry salmon a 4 (skin on salmon), and service, quality and presentation, a solid 8. It's a nice change from other Asian restaurants and certainly is healthier than all the fried and oily food one finds a Chinese-style restaurant. Figure about $30 per person. Would I go back? Sure, maybe in a year."

"Portion is small. Some of the food are ok, some are mediocre. Shiok cancelled our Open Table reservation while we were dining, even though we checked in and acknowledged by the hostess upon arrival. It was resolved after several attempts from us. Recommend to check your Open-Table-point after dining. If you are not local, won't recommend driving there to eat."
