"Great restaurant, service was great, food was delicious. They even gave us a great table for our Anniversary. We had a little longer wait for the main course to arrive but the Wait staff and manager were more than apologetic and made it right. The food was worth the wait and prices are good for the large portions you receive. I would definitely recommend and will be going back on my next visit."

"This was our first visit to Storie St Grille. It was still off season in Blowing Rock and it was Monday night, so the restaurant was very quiet. I had mentioned when I made the reservation that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Not only were we warmly greeted and seated by the fireplace, but were also given a free bottle of house wine (a very acceptable merlot). Our server was terrific. The duck here is especially well prepared."

"SS remains our go-to restaurant when we have guests in our cabin. There is such a variety of menu items that all diners find something to suit their tastes. We took friends for lunch on Saturday, and everything from the Reuben to the fabulous beef stew was delicious. Our waiter, Will, is one of the best in the High Country. His personal, friendly service always makes a visit to SS a pleasure. We suggest making reservations in the fall and summer. SS is located in the heart of Blowing Rock and is a great way to enjoy the best of the village. You will see many local residents as well as visitors gather for lunch and dinner. The house wines are great values. Enjoy!"

"we went for our 20th anniversary. We love the Storie Street salad and the meatloaf. That is what we order on every visit. It's just too good to pass up for another dish. When you have absolutely wonderful, why experiment? -- even though we have been told that every dish is wonderful!"

"The exact table I requested was waiting on us when we arrived.(A private table located beside a fireplace).The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. It was a perfect spot to celebrate my wife's birthday.. The weather was perfect also as it was snowing outside. They also have a very nice covered area outside when the weather is favorable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will return when I visit Blowing Rock again."

"We had a wonderful dinner there on Feb 16, 2013. Our server, Paige was excellent from attentive service to menu selections. Food was great and the wine list was very good.
We went with a private label 'Storie Street Grill' cabernet from California and found it to be perfect.
We overheard many raving sabout the lasagna however we went with a entree of 'shrimp and grits' and the shrimp were large and tasty. My wife had the pesto stuffed chicken breast and enjoed it thoroughly.
No complaints at all and we will definitely visit again the next time we are in the Blowing Rock area."
