"We took my husband and father out for brunch on Fathers day. We were seated right away which was great. We requested the back room and thats where we were seated. there wasnt a lot of choices for brunch so we are hoping to come back on a regular night to order from the main menu. it seemed like the food did take a while to come out and it was just 4 adults and a child eating. it was pretty good just wish there were more choices."

"Booked a table for two at Tanzy for a Saturday night dinner prior to a movie at iPic (which is absolutely fantastic by the way). Upon being seated we were placed in a booth which is easily 4 feet wide. This made conversing across the table difficult due to the distance between us in conjunction with the ambient noise of the restaurant. I should have gone and sat next to her but I hadn't thought of it at the time so be aware of this if eating out as two. The food overall was great; the carpaccio was excellent, and the filet good.

The ambiance was strange, many people is street clothes despite a dress code.

Next time I will be skipping dinner at Tanzy and simply eat inside the theater as they serve dinner in the premium plus seating."

"Because we had had the popcorn during the movie, we decided to have appetizers and drinks. Our waitress (can't remember her name) was helpful in our choices and we especially enjoyed the Mozzarella Table Side Service with Daniel. His showmanship and explanation of the variety of salts to try was very fun and enjoyable."

"Waitress spilled drink when she set it on the table. Never returned to clean it up. Appetizers came. Waitress was standing around talking and also just wandering around the restaurant. Entree arrived and we asked another employee for napkin to replace the one we used to clean up the drink she spilled. We continued to ask other employees for assistance through out the meal. Finally as we were finishing our meal she appeared to ask how it was and give us the bill. We asked another employee for the container to take left overs home. We had mozzarella prepared table side and the young man was very personable and had great interpersonal skills. He was friendly as well as professional. He was the best part of our dining experience."

"We originally visited on Mother's Day, and the restaurant struggled executing its special brunch menu with a capacity crowd. However, after expressing our concerns to the manager, we were asked to return as his guest, which we did. The 2nd visit clearly demonstrated that our feedback was heard and valued. The service and food were much more reminiscent of the excellent standards we had enjoyed in the past. Brunch appetizers included tempura brussels sprouts with a sweet dipping sauce, which were amazing -- even for those at our table with skeptical tastes. The main courses featured a variety of fresh ingredients and looked beautiful on the plates. We look forward to the next visit."

"Tried this place for the first time and we came away impressed! The service was excellent and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. We were in on a Sunday evening and the kitchen was a little backed up but other than that we really enjoyed ourselves. I had the stuffed chicken breast and my wife had the filet mignon. The food was amazing!"

"I am very selective with my recommendations and reviews, but Tanzy deserves the best. Tanzy consistently delivers amazing food, incredible service, unique menu options, and a vibrant but still relaxed atmosphere, from the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture to the couches in the open air area to the quiet, romantic booths to the trendy bar area. The ambiance is just wonderful and they have consistently delighted my friends and colleagues, time and time again. It's comfortable whether you stop by for a cocktail alone after a long day at the office, whether you're enjoying a girls' or guys' night out, or whether you come for an anniversary. I am a Tanzy lifer! Their theater - iPic - is amazing too. Come to enjoy both dinner and a show!"

"Scott, our server, was absolutely impeccable. Everything we had was terrific - highly recommend the brussel sprouts. The flourless chocolate cake is like taking a swim in a chocolate pond. Yum. The only change would be to the booth table height vs the seating - we both felt like we needed a phone book. Take a table....."

"The staff has always been very helpful without interfering. Beautiful interior. I and some friends and family have gluten restrictions. The kitchen staff have been very supportive and informed. We have enjoyed the options they have offered and feel like any other diner. Never feel it is an imposition. Such a great relief. Appreciate having a place like this to bring guests who don't have dietary issues and feel sure the whole group will come way happy. Thank you"

"We were all disappointed to get a modified menu on Saturday - the day before Mother's Day. It did offer free non-alcoholic beverages, but we had to ask our server to remove them from the bill. Most of the great items that they have on their regular menu were missing as were any mention of side dishes. It seems that their intent was to save time rather than to create a memorable Mother's Day experience."

"Every time we have friends in town, or want a romantic evening as just the two of us - my husband and I love going back to Tanzy! The food is amazing, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful. Afterwards, the bar/lounge area is a big hit, too, to hang out and relax!"

"Our first time. Won't be the last. May have found a new favorite. The service was impeccable (Isaiah), the food was outstanding, and the wine was perfect. At sunset, the view of the McDowell's was stunning.

Had to admit, a little nervous about going when the hostess called us to confirm reservation and one reviewer's comments about the serving temperature of the wine. We were advised of the lack of true outdoor dining, but accommodations were made to seat us by an open window table - more than satisfied our needs (albeit a little loud when the kids were playing below in the fountain). The wine was wonderful - served to my liking."

"I’ve developed a pet peeve with restraints that present themselves as a wine aficionado and then serve their glasses at room temp. The architects of Tanzy put a lot of effort into displaying their bottles in a glass cellar, but then they poor their glasses from a hot bottle. That was not a great start to my visit, but at least the food mostly made up for it. We had the sea bass and braised beef. The braised beef was a hearty portion and a little over cooked, but really good overall. It is served with a cheese filled gnocchi that outshone anything else on the plate. The fish was good.
Overall, we had a really nice visit and our server was attentive, professional, and friendly."

"This was our second time at Tanzy. We loved the ambiance the first time and came back to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The large doors and windows when opened make for a unique indoor/outdoor dining experience. Tasteful decor in dark wood and leather with granite topped dining tables gives the feel of a high end dining experience.

Service and food is excellent and not super expensive. Dinner and drinks for two came in right at about a $100 for us.

The fact that this restaurant is co-located with the I-Pic theaters makes for a great evening out for those wanting a nice dinner with a movie in a super plush environment."

"If you want a quiet meal for two, this is the place to go. The ambiance was very peaceful. The bar area was quite amazing. Food and drinks were pricey if you don't mind that; it was a little too pricey for what we got. We will however probably return to have a couple drinks with friends at that bar. All in all, I cannot NOT recommend it because the food was good, the company was good and the night was perfect."

"Although we have dined at Tanzy many times, this was our first brunch experience. Kevin served us and was very helpful in making our food selections. The food, as always, was delicious, and we never felt rushed to finish our meal. I will continue to recommend Tanzy to those looking for a special night out, or brunch experience."

"I checked notable wine list despite the fact that we had to make 3 selections of white wine before you had the one we wanted (no problem with the red)....Then we had to wait about 10 minutes before that bottle arrived.
We were a table of eight, service was so so and at one point I looked across the table to see a sea of wine glasses, why did we have so many glasses and why were they not cleared off the table. Service certainly lacked that night. This was my 4th time and I was the one that recommended Tanzy so a bit embarrassing when first two wines unavailable and service as it was. I will return despite this evening."

"Although the food and ambiance were outstanding, our order was put in wrong resulting in my wife eating her dinner while I waited for mine to be prepared and then I ate my dinner. Mistakes happen; however, our disappointment was in how it was handled. They should have either offered to take my wifes dinner back and reprepare it so that we could dine at the same time, or offered a complimentary desert or coffee while I ate my meal. Apologies were received but no offer of correction was extended."

"The first time we went, our waitress and support staff were absolutely fantastic. They were fast, attentive and cheerfully helpful. The second time, our waiter wasn't that great but perhaps he was new. All the food was terrific. Rich flavors, good portion size and creative presentation. The entire decor and ambiance of the place is hip, trendy, and elegant without being stuffy. It is a bit loud but great place to take a date!"

"We had a wonderful experience and outstanding service from the moment we walked through the entrance to the second we walked out the exit with full and satisfied bellies. Could not have asked for a better date night with my husband.

"I discovered this restaurant on Open Table and then did some exploring on the Web. The reviews were all outstanding and the photos looked appealing. Our family of four flew in from New York on Feb. 14, had enough time to change to make our Valentines Day dinner reservations. We were wow'd just by the appearance and we were happy that our meal was more than outstanding. Between the four of us we had the steak (fabulous), lobster stuffed shrimp (not one left on the plate) risotto and a chicken dish. It was a fun people watching place too. The lounge area is separate from the dining area and it would absolutely be a place had I lived in Scottsdale I would go for a drink and mingle with friends. A must dine spot in Scottsdale."
